Bravo! Thank you! I was going through hopelessness and dejection, when this letter came out yesterday, feeling exactly what you described in the beginning. about US intentions. But now I know what I must do: keep on doing what I have been doing. Norman Finkelstein was asked yesterday what to do to have hope and he said: Keep on doing what you have been doing in the best way you can and that way you can say that you did your best, you cannot do any better than that. ...Or words to that effect. As many others, I always look forward to hearing your perspective on any news related to Palestine.
I saw that same video with N. Finkelstein. It is so hard to see so much evil seem to prevail, but I have full faith and belief that good always wins in the very end. God promised justice will ultimately prevail for the oppressed! He fights for them
Thank you Alon. I wrote about this earlier this year. Perceived powerlessness is a method of control, encouraged by the Empire. We are all in this battle whether we like it or not. We must all act.
And yet, even if this was for show to try to get back voters, it is still a very important milestone for the Palestinians and those who are fighting for Justice for Palestine. This is may only be the start of a war (of words) against the Empire, but we actually managed to get to the point that such a war (of narrative) is feasible. Before there was no shot, not even a long shot and we were a joke, but now is the real battle of the pen.
And enough time to make continued military support unavoidable. It is a trap. It is soma. You are meant to sleep for 30 days with a promise of a better morning. Act. Act now.
@@UsualYaddaYadda I get the cynicism, and I’m not denying whether or not that is the end goal, what I am saying is we should take this as a celebratory moment as we are starting to gain momentum and power in the empire that the empire has to ask for this, because we can change the outcome of the presidential election over this one issue. This entire election cycle they have avoided showing any support for Palestine AND any real discussion around that conflict, thinking they could get away with it as they thought we were tiny and weak but now they are seeing the numbers and are starting to panic. Once elected they can do whatever the hell they want to like they always do, but our outrage is breaking through and they cannot do a single thing about it. Israeli propaganda has been weakened.
Thanks Alon. I've been following you on twitter for months. Since October last year. UA-cam didn't show me your channel until very recently for some reason. I really appreciate your work and admire your bravery. Your genuine point of view is a welcome gem in a sea of hate and dysfunction
You’re right, this is a seismic shift from the USA to threaten arms embargo. I understand why people would think that US is deceptive; is because of their stance throughout war on Gaza & Lebanon has been a ruse, especially when they kept saying that a cease deal was on the table. Good message though… we should see it as a positive because we want to stop the terrible Palestinian suffering.
You are the best my Brother. May Allah bless you. As the Quran says, "Those who believe, and Jews, Christians and Sabeans - whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, and does good, shall have no cause to fear or grieve"...you are someone who do good. Your heart bleeds for humanity and this will be remembered by all of your siblings from all faith.
💯, this is huge the US has effectively folded and is an admission of the war crimes committed by the Israeli regime. But you are spot on, despair and grief have consumed me recently watching the daily horrors committed on the Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank but then your point of their resilience over the decades is a testament to continue the struggle and fight
As a romanian, I can't decide for who to cry ........ for my grandparents that saw they parents killed by the nazis, for the israelis or the palestinians, for the ones that are gone under the rubbles alone, for the ones burned, for the ones that will go soon ............ this is not going to stop despite being ''killing'' all the heads parties .................
History is written by the victor , who he lives in Israel must have unity and stop playing victim to overcome this oppression upon world Jewry, I agree with you it’s time for meaningful actions
It’s in the hands of Mizrahi community. Mizrahis form the largest Jewish community in Israel but still mizrahis are controlled by Sephardi and askhanazi leaders. Palestinians are your family. How could you not stand with your family?
If you’re such a moral person and really believe in what you’re saying you should leave Israel 🇮🇱 right away. You genuinely want to show solidarity with the victims of the Israeli regime? Pack your stuff up and get the hell out of here! But we all know that you are not willing to do give away your privileges. Only empty words with hollow message.
I don't agree that you're somehow obliged to live the place you were born out of a moral position. You probably wouldn't have said that about chinese or iranian people who want to change the system they live under, right? Dont be a hypocrite
This is the most stupid comment I've ever seen. Jews belong in Israel/Palestine. Alon may leave but he doesn't have to do it, same is valid for people like Itay Tiran, Mairav Zonszein and Ofer Cassif. The oppressors and brutal leaders in Israel should be prosecuted but innocent Israelis are for my part allowed to stay. We hear often that Ashkenazim should go back to Europe. For what? So they can suffer antisemitism and ultimately a second holocaust again? Ever heard about Erol Guney? Poor guy was born in Ukraine, left for Turkey and when he was prosecuted he left for Israel because he was tired to continously move around. Israel was the sole home he could have because most countries are not keen to accept him. Also Samir Naqqash, despite he feels himself more like an Arab than a Jew, he went to many Middle Eastern countries but also had a hard time being accepted and ultimately also ended up in Israel. He did not consider Israel as his home but he had no other choice. We should sanction this selfish far-right government and punish them but persecuting the whole nation alltogether and forcing to move them out is way too far.
Wallahi your a good man speaking the truth a man of honor and integrity god bless love from Australia
Thank you brother from one Arab to another!
"We have humanity in our side and we have justice in our side".
That's profound Alon..
Very simple and yet sincere deep phrases.Just wonderful.
Such an important message. Everyone needs to share this.
Good sound this time Alon.
TY for your work.
I always look forward to your messages on UA-cam Alon 👍👋

30 days is after the Empires election.
So many deaths its like they are telling them you have 30 days to kill more. It is the definition of evil.

Thank you for this valuable message. Humanity must not lose against this murderous coalition.

No, they haven't threatened an arms embargo.
ELES SÃO SÁDICOS E NUNCA DEIXARAM QUE O SANGUE INOCENTE PARE DE JORRAR 🤮
Absolutely spot on. You've nailed it my friend. I do hope people would act upon that and take this advantage to stop this madness.

I saw you on Owen Jones’s channel and really appreciated your story.
Great message and important to consider. Thought-provoking.
انت شخص محترم وصادق .. ولكن ما شهدناه خلال عام يجعلنا نفقد الامل في امريكا
Shut up
Nice to see you got the sound fixed 👍

I so much want to believe everything you say.

In 30 days we'll be after the elections so I think this is useless. הייתי רוצה שהמצב אחר אבל אמת זה אמת.
