"Every time I learnt something new, it was like something clicked, a piece of puzzle would fit and I could visualize how everything came together
Oddly though, there was a particular part of my learning where this process failed me, and did not give me the same satisfaction.
And that was when we learnt about the creation of the universe and the origin of life. No matter how I tried to understand and internalize the Big Bang Theory, it was not intuitive to me. It did not feel right.
Likewise, when we were taught that all species on earth originate from a single cell, it did not sit right with me. There was no ‘click’, no fitting of the puzzle, no images and visions in my head. All that laid flat on the paper.
This time, I was not filled with satisfaction, but doubt. That bothered me and I never knew why. "

regarding evolution : there is differing, Allah created Adam, as for the creation some say its possible others such as myself from science view reject evolution as a marxist science!
evoltuion in single celled organisms like bacteria is ok, but evolution says mutations give life but in science it only gives cancer in multi cell organisms!
Islam teaches transparency in dalil, its a Mercy and a visible trust, ppl lie in name of science and hide truth same way some ppl did with scriptures but Islam is clear and open truth!

I had a very similar experience... Passionate about science and thought religion to be illogical and contradictory and man-made. Met two Muslim friends in my final year of university, one even studying evolution and anthropology, Mashallah they answered my questions! Every idea I had that ruled out religion as false could be applied only to the corruption that religions have faced. Islam "clicked" in the way only science has to me before. Alhamdulillah!

Islam encourages science education. It teaches ...
Science:
The sun sets in a spring of muddy water with people in the vicinity who don't burn up from the sun's heat.
Sperm is produced between the backbone and the ribs. (Not the testicles).
The sun is floating in an orbit. (Not the Earth orbiting the sun.)
Stars are weapons that God/Allah uses to shoot demons who try to sneak into heaven. They are not meteors entering Earth's atmosphere and burning up which makes them look like moving stars.
If a fly lands in your soup you should dunk it because one wing of the fly has the disease and the other wing has the cure.
Surah 39
6. He created you from one person, then made from it its mate, and brought down livestock for you-eight kinds in pairs. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, in successive formations, in a triple darkness. Such is God, your Lord. His is the kingdom. There is no god but He. So what made you deviate? (Maybe there were only eight kinds of livestock in Arabia in the 7th century but we know that there are more worldwide. Muhammad/Allah didn't know that ).
64. It is God who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure.
67. It is He who created you from dust, then from a seed, then from an embryo, then He brings you out as an infant, ...
79. God is He who created the domestic animals for you-some for you to ride, and some you eat.
80. And in them you have other benefits as well, and through them you satisfy your needs. And on them, and on the ships, you are transported. (God forgot to mention automobiles and aircraft. maybe God didn't know about them in the 7th century.)
Islam teaches other domains also.
History:
Abraham and Isaac who built the temple in Jerusalem also built the Kaaba temple in Mecca. Roman historical records prove that Mekkah didn't even exist at the time of Abraham and Isaac. Islam didn't even exist until the 7th century.
Logic:
God created the world in 2 days.
God created the world in 6 days.
God created the world in 8 days.
Apparently God couldn't remember how many days it took him to create the world.
Equal rights:
The testimony of a woman is worth half of that of a man. Female heirs inherit less than male heirs. Men can have four wives but women can only have one husband. If a husband wants sex the wife must comply. In sex the man can penetrate her anyway he wants including anal and she must comply. If they get divorced the children belong to the husband. Men can wear whatever they want but the women have to cover their body. Men can beat their wives if they don't obey him. But he can only beat her until her skin turns green. He is not permitted to beat her until she has broken bones.
Ethics:
Surah 5
verse 33 The punishment for those who fight God and His Messenger, and strive to spread corruption on earth, is that they be killed, or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or be banished from the land. That is to disgrace them in this life; and in the Hereafter they will have a terrible punishment.
Surah 8
Verse 12 cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. So strike above the necks and strike off every fingertip of theirs.
Surah 9 Verse 5
kill the polytheists wherever you find them. And capture them, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every ambush.
Verse 29 fight those who disbelieve... until they pay the due tax, willingly or unwillingly
Surah 10

As for those who disbelieve, for them is a drink of boiling water, and agonizing torment, on account of their disbelief.
Surah 18
29. . .We have prepared for the unjust a Fire, whose curtains will hem them in. And when they cry for relief, they will be relieved with water like molten brass, which scalds the faces. What a miserable drink, and what a terrible place.
Surah 22
19. Here are two adversaries feuding regarding their Lord. As for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be tailored for them, and scalding water will be poured over their heads.
20. Melting their insides and their skins.
65. That He holds up the sky lest it falls on earth-except by His permission?
Surah 24
2. The adulteress and the adulterer-whip each one of them a hundred lashes, and let no pity towards them overcome you regarding God’s Law, if you believe in God and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their punishment.
4. Those who accuse chaste women, then cannot bring four witnesses, whip them eighty lashes, and do not ever accept their testimony. For these are the immoral.
13. Say, “I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the punishment of a horrendous Day.”
15. “But you can worship whatever you wish besides Him.” Say, “The losers are those who lose their souls and their people on the Day of Resurrection.” That is indeed the obvious loss.
16. They will have layers of Fire above them, and layers beneath them. That is how God strikes fear into His servants-“O My servants! Beware of Me!”
40. Who will receive a humiliating punishment, and on whom will fall a lasting torment.” (punishment and torment are frequent words in this Quran).
46. The Fire. They will be exposed to it morning and evening. And on the Day the Hour takes place: “Admit the clan of Pharaoh to the most intense agony.”

We need to try to help these people by showing them that religion is wrong.
It's sad that they're wasting their entire life devoting it to something that's not true.
Read real Quran and love the Islam first read it in positive think.. if who have light of Islam he can understand Quran.. . I don't blame you bcz it's in not my religion.. @Gunther Vincent Unlike any other book, the Qur'an challenges mankind and djin (alike) to create at least 1 chapter like it, the smallest chapter is only 3 verses long. Many native and non-native 'Masters of the Arabic Language' have lived and died but non have ever been successful in producing just 1 chapter like it.
Without going in too much detail, the use of Arabic may have rhetorical, circular or gender-specific meaning, yet adheres to grammar 100% - the challenge still stands and mankind may use any resource possible.
P.S. For points 1 & 2, no other book/author makes these claims - followed by 1.2bn people!

@Gunther Vincent - "All religious books are considered unique by their followers", I agree, but that is not the point. I can probably generate a 512 bit encryption key that would be classed as unique, but does not prove that it is the word of God nor would the numbers have any significant meaning to them. A Harry Potter book in 200 years time could also be considered a religious doctrine by their followers and claim to be unique. The point is, can it stand the test of time - can you name one book, any book, that claims the points 1, 2 & 3 as mentioned in my previous post? (Reminder: Point 3 is a challenge to mankind! )
"Is God monolingual", It's in Arabic because our Prophet (PBUH) was native Arabian. Most languages evolve and goes through series of changes every 500 years or so, classical Arabic has remained static, preserved since the advent of the Last Prophet (PBUH). If you want to challenge it you have to challenge it on par with it, modern Arabic slang is no comparison.

What is a Palindrome?
A word or phrase that reads the same backward as forward.
Important notes
a) It was spoken and the one who spoke it was illiterate. It’s pretty hard to come up with a palindrome when you sit down and work it out, yet it might be possible, but to speak it out of the blue -> you only get one shot at getting it right because what is being is said is memorized instantly and written down. You can’t go back and modify it. Plus the speaker himself, the Messenger (saw), is illiterate so it’s not like he could have sat down before hand and worked through it.
b) It was recited together with the verses before and after it. I.e. it’s right in the middle of a passage and the fact that the verse being a palindrome fits so well in the context of what’s being said and doesn’t take anything away from the coherency and meaning.
c) It was unknown at the time but discovered later by linguistic scholars who spent their time looking through the Qur’an for such aspects of linguistic excellence. It’s not like the Prophet (saw) went around and said look, this verse has a palindrome. It’s just there.

The big bang theory:
“Do not the Unbelievers see That the heavens and the earth
Were joined together (as one Unit of Creation), before We clove them
asunder?” (Quran 21:30)
This clearly indicates that the universe(heavens and the earth was) joint entity the word used in Arabic is (retq) which is used to refer to different substances that make up a whole. And then god clove them asunder the word used in Arabic is (fataqa) which means to become separated from each other or to separate something by destroying its structure.
When describing the creation of the "heavens and the earth," the Qur'an does not discount the theory of a "Big Bang" explosion at the start of it all. In fact, the Qur'an says that "the heavens and the earth were joined together as one unit, before We clove them asunder" (21:30). Following this big explosion, Allah "turned to the sky, and it had been (as) smoke. In decades scientists said after the Big Bang there where particles until recently found out that it was gasses and not particles, like as the Quran refers to it as smoke.
Expansion of the universe:
"And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it."(Quran, 51:47)
That is not what al Tabary said 1400 years ago when he interpreted the verse.

Born to a affluent buddhist family and my love for physics drove me to India’s most prestigious science college IISc....from where I completed by PHD & postdoctoral.
Religion seemed the most illogical stuff out there. I had some exposure of Buddhism, Hinduism & Christianity(because of my convent schooling)....and all looked illogical stuff to me. Until I came across the Holy Quran, which one of my fellow scientist at ISRO gifted me.
I had been working on string theory and trying to understand the possibilities of multiple universe......but reading Quran gave me a perfect perspective. Science will take thousands of year more to arrive what has already been revealed in the Hold Quran.
Allah says in Quran we made this universe with great strength

The God Says in the Holy Quran that He created the earth and the heavens and what is between them in 6 days which means that the age of the heavens is 6 days in the time frame based on the Siderat Al Muntaha at the bottom of tge 7th heaven.
The God also Says in the Holy Quran that He created the earth in 2 days which means that the age of the earth is 2 days in the time frame based on the Siderat Al Muntaha at the bottom of the 7th heaven.
This gives that the ratio of the age of heavens to that of earth at the the time of revelation of the Holy Quran some 1400 yrs ago is :
R = T1 / T2 = 6 / 2 = 3
Where T1 is the age of heavens and T2 is the age of earth in the time frame based on the Siderat Al Muntaha at the bottom of the 7th heaven.
Calculations based on the current measurements of the dynamical age of the Universe (T1 = 13.799 ± 0.021 Gyrs) and the radiometric age of the earth (T2 = 4.54 ± 0.05 Gyrs) give that the ratio of the age of the Universe to that of the
earth at the time of revelation of the Holy Quran some 1400 yrs ago is :
R = (T1 - t) / (T2 - t)
Since the time of revelation of the Holy Quran some 1400 yrs ago is insignificant compared to the age of the universe and the earth (in Gyrs), the ratio calculated at the present time will not be significantly different from that calculated at the time of revelation of the Holy Quran.
Which gives
R = T1 / T2 = 13.799 * 10^9 yrs / 4.54 * 10^9 yrs = 3.04.
As you see the obtained value of the ratio of the age of the universe to that of the earth using the current measurements is similar to that obtained using the mentioned ages of the heavens and the earth in the Holy Quran.
It means that the earth was for the first time created when the age of the heavens was only 2/3 of its age today.
This coincidence means that the Holy Quran is right which in turn means that the Holy Quran is a book from Allah and the Noble prophet Mohammed (peace be upon Him) is His messenger.
But only Allah knows best.

That's because the other religions are basically--in a nutshell--manmade. Islam is the real, natural religion of mankind. Islam means "peaceful submission to Almighty God". However, throughout the ages, people started to deviate, and began to worship false things such as stones, idols, sun, moon, stars, human beings, angels, etc. The Shaitan (satan) misled them, because he only lies and deceives people. The true path had been Islam of course. Even in Christianity, Isa a.s (Jesus peace be upon him) was only a Muslim. He was a Prophet of Allah. He was a Messenger of Allah. He used to worship none but Allah alone. He called people to worship no one but Almighty Allah alone. He never preached Christianity or trinity. All these things, these deviations, came after Jesus (peace be upon him). You will find similarities between Islam and Christianity, because the Injeel (Gospel), and the Qu'ran, both came from the source. The thing is, though, the Injeel has long been corrupted with all sorts of alterations. --Verses deleted. --Verses changed. --Verses added. That's why there are so many versions of the bible. That's why there are so many inconsistencies, and contradictions in the bible. Because it has been tampered by human beings. Even in its corrupt form, you will still find monotheism in the bible. You won't find trinity. Anywhere. Allah sent down the Qu'ran as a form of guidance to mankind. It is a glorious, beautiful, and pristine book which can never be altered. Ever. No human being, or jinn, can ever produce a chapter like the Qu'ran. It is impossible. No contradiction exists in the Qu'ran. No error exists in the Qu'ran. Qu'ran is a flawless book, with over 6'000+ signs. Every ayat (verse) of the Qu'ran, in fact, every word of the Qu'ran, is a sign to mankind. Filled with scientific, linguistic, mathematical, and historical miracles.
So, Islam is not a new religion. It is the original religion of mankind. It is the natural religion. That is why when people convert to Islam, they feel as if they have returned home. This is because, every child is born on fitrah (the true religion--Islam); however, his parents, and society, alter him into a Christian, or Jew, etc. Even if you look at Native Americans (Aboriginal people). Even they believe only in the oneness of God. They do not pray to any idol or stone. In 1949, they found two tribes--which, of course, were completely isolated from society. When they researched them, they found out they believed only in the Creator alone. They used to worship only the Creator alone by prostrating. They were following the frameworks of Islam basically. Only the sunnah was missing.

Brother books have a unique thing about them , they have a signature of the writer all over them . So it is not difficult to ascertain whether a book is written by a particular writer or not . For example if I say that this book has been written by a mathematician and if there is an elementary mathematical mistake in it, even a common person would be able to say that it cannot be work of a mathematician . Similarly , if someone says that this book is written by an embryologist and there is a mistake in it regarding basics of embryology one can easily say this is not work of embryologist. So why do we fight , read the book u think is from God and question your inner voice can it be from creator . My request is also read Quran not in bits and pieces but at least 1/10th of it with open mind and then listen to your inner voice can it be from creator . You will get your answer.
