  • Natalee Bowen is arguably Australia’s foremost Hamptons expert. Her business Indah Island has her flying around Australia, and often the globe, consulting on Hampton's renovations and new builds. Her previous home in Mindarie (below), north of Perth WA, was an incredible transformation from soul-less rendered brick McMansion to an elegant waterside Hamptons home graced with Linea Weatherboards

The pronunciation of Toodyay was wrong, its pronounced "Too-Jay", as a West Aussie it just hurts to hear it pronounced like that :p

would of LIKED to have seen the renovated parts of the original farmhouse!
what happened with the old stve from the original kitchen they said they were keeping?

But how much of the original building was kept? We only saw a small white brick wall, also where is the original cooker you seemed so grateful to inherit? I'm trying to get inspiration for a similar project in Toodyay and I would love to incorporate some your style plus the original building 💙

Seems pretty much nothing, it’s just used as a walkway, again they try to claim things that just aren’t true.

Sad that the beautiful original farm house got lost amongst that huge extension.

This did not go the way I expected, this house ended up being far too big and quite modern/new looking. Not really my taste in style personally. I was hoping for more focus on the restoration of the original house. Really interesting end result and it's lovely that they're happy with it though.

It is beautiful, interior decor is such a personal thing and nat does say, she wishes for her personality to be very much shown in the home. Hamptons is not just blue and white, as there are a number of interpretations of it. It can be creams, dark browns, black, greys. This is definitely a stronger coastal like a cape cod vibe. I personally love the traditional more warmer palette and with a stronger french influence. This is stunning in its own right and she definitely should be so proud of her skills. I am taking cues from her talent for my own home

Way too much blue and white. I get it’s Hampton’s but way too OTT. Living in it would drive me bonkers.

Seriously... red earth desert meets coastal white!? Hampton is just NOT practical in this environment... nor at all a practical design for the location...
    Pretty, but not practical

Can you please give the host job to a young designer who is qualified preferably straight out of school who deserves a break into the industry. Not a couple who appeared one time on the block and think a twelve week crash corse in Renovating is enough.

Can you please stop using this pathetic description ..quote..Hampton style luxury it’s yuppie Patheticness and it’s American. Have We adapted everything American now where to much of a back water to have hour own Hamptons..oh wait we do Melbourne Sydney and nobody can afford to buy let alone build or renovate a period derelict house.. except if your in the richest 5% Yar that’s out of reach for most normal Australians who don’t Refer to everything as Hamptons luxury living. Especially when Australia doesn’t have a middle class anymore.

Seriously trying to say an Australian version of the Hampton style? Who is that woman trying to fool, probably only herself…

The host of the show knows nothing..wow you renovate a house on the block and suddenly a twelve weeks crash corse replaces a design degree with years of experience. Could you have given the host job to a qualified person in the industry who deserves this. Not some nobody off the block
