Thanks everyone for adding your own recommendations - a lot of great channels highlighted in the comments section! To clear some confusion, the main list of 25 are not "my favorites" or "my picks" - rather just the historically most popular as voted by viewers (in views!). If you want to know what I've been watching recently, it's a far more modest list (based on some personal interests) discussed in this video: ua-cam.com/video/KqNYfj8p-BU/v-deo.html Some have asked "Why are no flower farmers in the top 25?" or "Where's Gardening with Creekside? I thought they were more popular" etc. and my answer is just that there are millions of historical views weighed in this ranking, and some of those "hot" channels and topic areas would take some time to reach the all-time top 25. Creekside is currently at 109 on my list ranked by views, but is trending extremely well, and will overtake a bunch of established channels (including mine!) in no time. I'd anticipate the same is true for The Veggie Boys, Growfully with Jenna, The Weedy Garden and probably quite a few others that I'm not paying attention to yet. So far I've learned that I did miss at least one channel in the top 25: Plants with Krystal (omitted, but should rank #23 at time of release): www.youtube.com/@PlantswithKrystal/featured Also, given how quickly growwithjessie cracked the top 5 with a strong viewership in Shorts, I'd imagine there will be some other major disruption of the list related to the short-form format. Should be interesting!
It would be fun to see a video with your actual favorites :) I'd also like to see the other channels suggest their favorites. Share the love ya know? Also, for the houseplant folks: www.youtube.com/@leafing.around is charming and fun to watch for people who don't live in the tropics, www.youtube.com/@LifewithAshleyAnita is the most soothing plant shopping/collecting presenter out there, and if you are feeling surly or are under age 25, www.youtube.com/@phytosexual is dripping with irony and dry humor. p.s. Thanks to all plant/garden creators for all you do, especially over the last few years, I don't think you understand how much you help people emotionally and spiritually, let alone practically.
I've been enjoying Nicole with Flower Hill Farm. She's been into flower farming for several years now. But only started a UA-cam channel a couple of years ago. But her channel is quickly growing in popularity and subscribers. She also recently bought an old community nursery that she is breathing now life into. Also enjoy Homesteading with Doug and Stacy. But I do watch a few on the list you compiled. Of which, Garden Answer with Laura and her husband Aaron is my most favorite. I've been watching their channel for years think it was 2015 or 2016. Always reliable content with several interesting topics to keep things interesting. Without drama or click bait titles. Which creator's that try to use click bait titles is probably one of the fastest ways to kill your own channel. There's just no need for it.
Thanks so much Risa. I'm not sure you're exactly right on the click-bait thing - there are some pretty well-ranked channels that regularly pump up views with those kinds of methods. But I can always (crossing fingers) hope that it authentic content wins in the end.
Gardening with Creekside, Impatient Gardener and Hortube with Jim Putnam are on my top 10 list along with Garden Answer, can’t beat Laura! Thanks for the list. Gives me other channels to check out.
I think Laura from Garden answer has well earned her spot at the top. She is unbelievable and so is her channel. Any 'You Can't Eat the Grass' enjoyers?
I agree with you ranking Laura as first place. I also find Gardening with Jim Puttin very helpful and easy to incorporate the knowledge in my gardening
NorthLawn flower farm is certainly a must in your list. She sells a small amount of flowers from her garden. She is a Master Gardener and gives excellent advice. Many thanks and very happy new year.
Danielle is number 1 on my list, she is the most genuine and generous gardener out there with a ton of great information that helpful to us, backyard gardeners. I guess we all have our own ranking lists.😁
Namaste Jason 🙏 Thank you for featuring my channel on your feed today. Your feedback encourages us (to do…). It’s so nice that you could take the time to share your insights with us. Grateful for your support. Happy Gardening 💐🤝
Garden Answer definitely deserves top honour. Posts nearly every day in a pleasant manner and covers many topics. She and Aaron just started off with a small townhouse garden when she worked in a nursery. Through hard work they have done a phenomenal job of building up their YT channel. Hadn’t heard of many of those you mentioned. If I subscribe to any more channels, I will never get any gardening done. Love John Lord’s manner and humour. Also watch Putnam, Creekside, Y and Erin and you!! Live across the valley from you in deer country, so roses are a challenge.
Since I've relocated to SC, I love the content on Gardening with Creekside, The Millenial Gardener and Hortube with Jim Putnam. I also like Soil and Margaritas and Auxhart Gardening since they show how they deal with challenges facing home gardeners.
Yes I love Gardening with Creekside. Owners Jenny and Jerry have worked hard for what they have built over the years. They don’t flaunt what they have built like others do with their fancy glass greenhouse whom I no longer watch.
I subscribed to quite a number in your list. Content is important but also I like the ones in which the creators actually reply/answer my comments/questions no matter how big they get. Charles Dowding, Liz Zorab Byther Farm, Castle Hill Garden, you, to name a few. They are the ones who genuinely wanting to help or take an interest in the viewers’ questions. To that, they’re much appreciated!
Thanks - I agree. That authentic interaction with the viewers is what sets good UA-camrs apart from traditional media - it's how we all learn from each other!
Garden answer deserves the spot as they really put great content in their shows and I’ve learned so much from them. I watch Northlawn flower farm and Y garden too. Jim Putnam and The southerners northern garden.
Thanks Carolyn. They're all 3 on the list, but it was sorted by # of views, so they weren't in the top 25. Impatient Gardener is at 138, Middle-Sized at 117 and Jim Putnam at 55. For this video I wasn't listing my own favorites, but rather the most popular to viewers (as measured in views!).
I love the Garden Answer channel because of the variation in topics, and I admire Laura for work ethic and talent. Gary Pilarchik and The Orchid Girl are two of my favorites as well. Your channel is my favorite when it comes to roses. I've learned more about growing roses from you in a few videos than I've ever learned from anyone else.
I am somewhat shocked that Garden Answer channel owner has planted English style & need gardens in an arid type of climate location. THE water that then is required! And their place is amazing but not doable for most of us. Like people who do not have carpentry training & years of experience such as myself enjoying Architectural Digest, but never doing the builds.
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm Chiming in to second what Mary said. I love Garden Answer but you are my go-to for information on roses. 2021 was my first year gardening and I've never grown roses, but you've inspired me to take the plunge and I ordered a David Austin rose that I plan to attempt to grow in a pot. Love your content and your no-nonsense delivery style.
I'd be interested to see where Bunny Guiness, The Middlesized Garden, HortTube, and The Southerner's Northern Garden fall on the list. Along with you and the Monty Don episodes aired on R.A. Javier channel, they are certainly my favorite channels.
Thanks Elizabeth. I had Bunny Guinness ranked at 245 (by views), Middle Sized Gardener 117, Jim Putnam 55. I cut off tracking at channels below 30k subs, just because the list would have been too large to handle.
Interesting stuff. It makes me wonder why the algorithm has never (to my recollection) suggested most of these super popular channels to me. Works on mysterious ways I guess. Thank you for doing the research and sharing!
Great subject Jason. I wonder where Erin from The Impatient Gardener, and Jim Putnam's Horttube reside on your list. Thanks again...very thoughtful editorial decisions.
Thanks Max. I had Erin ranked at # 138 by views, and Jim Putnam at #55. As you may know, they're both some of my favorites, and it's amazing to me that the competition is so tight at that level - but they're shoulder to shoulder with other heavy-hitters!
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm Thank you for that information Jason. I appreciate your time. You, Erin, and Jim are my top 3 channels for gardening. Great information and no BS. LOL!
Thanks for the info. I get a kick out of watching "Flower Hill Farm". Plus she just bought a nursery, so it is super interesting to see all the reno's and "goings on" with that.
You are by far the best specialized garden channel in my book. Accurate information presented in easy to understand ways, honest and modest attitude, provides good answers to any question are characteristics of your channel. Now few of the top channels you got there tend to give over simplified and sometimes even wrong information/solutions. Not to mention some channels (not on this list ) gave totally incorrect information and asked for pay subscriptions which stuns me. So and so, I appreciate your efforts to provide us all useful information all the time ❤!! Happy New Year, Jason 🎊 🎉
oooh! The first plant channel I watched was Planterina, then Harli G. SunnySidewith Nicole, FlowerHillFarm, Mike's Backyard Nursery, Savvy Dirt Farmer. Your content is always so great, happy new year. I launched my channel today!!!
Great to get a list together like this :-) A few more I like: The impatient gardener You can’t eat the grass Liz Zorab- Byther farm She’s a mad gardener Hort tube Pepper Harrow Flower hill farm Bloom & Gray Bare mtn farm Simplify gardening Linda vater Claus dalby Planting with Michaela North lawn flower farm Common farm flowers The ‘farming’ ones on this list generally have a lot of good gardening info too so are applicable to the home gardener.
Miss Orchid Girl gave me the information I needed to grow different kinds of orchids and help you them thrive and bloom. As a bonus, she is fun to watch!
My favourite rose home gardeners are Darren Harwood and Olga Carmody. Darren Harwood has about 150 English roses in his garden, he takes us through all the aspects of his rose passion from snowy winters to Summer when his garden becomes a lush rose wonderland. Olga Carmody loves roses as well as many shrubs and trees, she is creative making structures with twigs but she also has an understanding of design and creating spaces, occasionally she talks about her favourite gardening books. Both these gardeners have a wealth of experience and a deep love for gardening. I also like your own videos, Jason, my favourites being when you talk about heritage roses and history.
P.S. I recently read an interesting book called Growing Roses for a Living by an Australian, Sue Ruchel. It’s an old book, from the 1990s, she died many years ago but it’s a great read and I am sure that you would love it as she is a wonderful storyteller and she goes through the whole process of creating a business in those days. I loved the book so much that I limited myself to reading just a page or two each day to make it last longer and I felt quite sad when I reached the end. Oh, and one more thing, if you haven’t already seen it, do watch the film The Rose Maker, it’s French, you can get it on dvd.
Well it all comes down to personal taste I suppose, but there are some UA-camrs who match a similar audience profile: The Impatient Gardener, Bunny Guinness, The Middle-Sized Gardener, Growfully with Jenna, Y Garden
As always, a very impressively researched and presented video. I do look forward to all of your content. You are SO much more than a rose growing channel but I'm not sure how, or whether, you would want to expand on that description to increase your opportunities to come up in You Tube search engine searches. I'm an English gardener and watch Garden Answer and Hortube but will look at a few of the other general gardening channels you mention, as there are very few here in UK. Oh, except for the Irish based Gardening at Douentza. Bunny Guiness provides interesting content too. But these are both small channels in comparison. Anyway, keep up the great work. PS. Your two videos on growing mediums, and clematis growing, a few months ago were really good too.
Thanks Laurel. I'd have a tough time staying focused on just one kind of content - so I'm basically just keeping it interesting for myself. I figure that'll keep me engaged enough to keep going long-term. The UA-cam algorithm follows a set of rules I don't understand, and I think I'd mess myself up trying to anticipate it!
Very appreciated Jason. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together. Happy New Year and hope you have a wonderful 2023. I think you, everyone listed, does wonderful work helping people with growing flowers, food, and just plan staying connected with growing in the earth. Cheers.
I watch a lot of these channels, but I found a few in your list and in the comments I haven't run across yet, so I'll have to check them out. I have to say, as much as I like many of these, Next Level Gardening has to be my go-to for vegetable planting info, especially tomatoes and onions. Brian has expanded into some other ventures of late, but I always go back to his older videos when I need to know something. I also keep up with The Millenial Gardener, who is in another state but in my growing zone. Gary at The Rusted Garden is good, too. And Hollis and Nancy. And Lazy Dog Farm, who I didn't see mentioned. I'm subscribed to many. There is something to be said for all of them, but for me, Next Level Gardening holds first place for now. You did a great job with the list, thank you, Jason! And Happy New Year!
I thought I'd add in millennial gardener. He is great! Great tips and he replies back if you ask questions. A lot of these other gardening channel don't respond to questions. He's pretty big, gotta have 200k subscribers if not more.
First of all, thank you Jason for your in-depth research into the gardening format. That was a lot of work I’m sure. In my opinion if you want information on gardening Jim Putum /Hort Tube does a very good job at explaining things, he was in the nursery business for quite a number of years. Danielle/ NorthLawn Flower farm also shares a lot of her knowledge, mostly flowers. There are a few other UA-cam channels that you are able to learn gardening from like Garden fundamentals, he breaks down the science behind myths and legends of gardening. He let’s you know why something is or isn’t possible in the garden. Also I believe there are a few up and comings, Jenny from Harmony Hills, and maybe Dig Plant Water Repeat. Thanks again Jason. ❄️💚🙃
Thanks June. Maybe at some point I'll find a way to release the whole thing. There's a couple of problems I'd need to overcome: 1) updating the stats so that it's not offering incorrect rankings, and 2) I'm quite sure I've missed a bunch of channels. Maybe not so much in the top 25, but certainly the further I go down the list.
A couple channels people may also enjoy that have’t made the numbers to make the list yet are Lovely Greens -she (Tanya) gardens on the Isle of Mann, just a well rounded show! Also Steve at Green Side Up-in the UK, his knowledge is vast and he always encourages the viewer to get going and just “crack on”! Has been the motivation I’ve needed on more than one occasion! I’ve picked up several new subscriptions from your list and the resulting comments-Thanks to everyone for sharing, this is a great way to find channels the algorithm hasn’t placed in my feed yet!
I'd like to know where David the Good, No till growers, and Gardener Scott landed on the list. Much like your channel, they are not just empirical data heavy but supplemented with entertaining anecdotal data. I appreciate the small changes you've made to your videos and look forward to some more dynamic b-roll and editing as you grow. Your tour videos have been eye-opening as well. The tour of your "edible focused" farmers market counterpart is my favorite to date.
Thanks Adam. #61, #159 and #65 respectively. Yeah, I'd love to get a lot better at the style and presentation end of video-making, but it's not something that comes naturally to me!
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm What's interesting is most of the replies in the comment section list HortTube as one they watch, yet pretty far down on the list. I do hope his videos will someday look as nice as those from Garden Answer, but he has a long way to go.
Interesting list. Only 3 - 4 of my subscribed UA-cam is in your top 25 list. 🙂 I am interested to know the following UA-cam channels fall: Garden Fundamentals, Northlawn Flower Farm, Jack Barnwell Design, Suburban Homestead, The Impatient Gardener, Y Garden, Linda Vater. They are great quality content creators. Of course, your channel is one of my favorites too.
Garden Fundamentals 211, Northlawn 171, Jack Barnwell 264, Suburban Homestead 153, Impatient 139, Y Garden 212, and Linda Vater is at 62 by my most recent rankings. All worth watching!
Jason, Your list seems quite accurate. Love watching your videos. You are so honest & genuine. You are a cutie. I'm sure I'm your granny or great grannies age, so my assessment has experience behind it. Happy New Year to you Jason & Yours. 😉
Dig, plant, water, repeat is a small channel but is a great up and coming channel that focuses on flowering plants. Janey is a master gardener and very personable. One of my favourites.
garden answer is by far in the right spot she is great to watch wonderful ideas her and her family are joyful and her children as well she gets them involed
Thanks for putting this together! I imagine it was a lot of work to scrape! There’s several channels that I hadn’t heard of, I’ll have to check them out. Thanks and great work! Happy new year! 🥳
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm Ya, no kidding! That was enough winter weather for me. We could use more rain for the reservoir but otherwise, I’d skip that snowy shenanigans ⛄️
Suburban Homestead by Siloe Oliviera is my favourite garden channel. Very high quality and aesthetics, a fabulous teacher presenting fantastic content.
Happy New Year, Jason! This is a great list, with some solid heavy hitters. I am also glad you disclosed how you came to rank them (by views and by subscribers). A few of my favorites not mentioned are Growfully with Jenna, Wild Your Garden with Joel Ashton, and Canadian Permaculture Legacy, all of whom interact so well with their viewers which is super important to me (just like you do!). I would also love to see a list focused more on Norther gardeners, or even a top Canadian gardening channel list... just an idea, even if only based on your opinion. I hope you have an amazing year! Best wishes - John
I also appreciated that Jason disclosed how the ranking was listed. Based on the suggestions you made and your interest in northern climates, I'd like to suggest Gardener Scott, as he's in USDA zone 5b and has some great content, including a 90 minute livestream most Mondays.
@@Craig_Humphries Gardner Scott is another awesome one I follow. He always has tons of valuable information. I’m in Zone 6b (-5F), but we occasionally get down to the negative teens (Fahrenheit) in the winter. Southeastern Michigan. Happy New Year, Craig! 😁
Jason -Thanks for all the effort you put into this list. I am familiar with many of your top group and now have some new sources to reference. I glad you mentioned Hollis & Nancy they are very down to earth people that I have reliable methods and share some DYI cost saving aproaches . If anyone is looking at container growing they are a good source for advice. They have been expanding their growing in containers over the last 3 to 5 years. A quick aside on India and English. I was at a tech conference and 5 CEO of Indian Tech companies were presenting a roundtable about internet expansion and domain names in India . During the Q&A they were asked about the value names in English verses an Indian dialect. One of the CEOs smiled, and answered. None of the 5 presenters on stage spoke the same dialect and the only way the coud comunicat was in English. English was their comon language
My focus starting last year is food production in a limited-space urban garden, in cold climate. It’s a pretty specific interest. Spicy Mustache is a great UK channel for that! I think viewers subscribe to the channels that we find most relevant, regardless of popularity. You, Jason provide wonderful rose advice, cold climate gardening, and your 4 classes of beneficial plants video changed my garden completely. I’ve watched that video multiple times.
I love seeing people develop new personal gardens but when food is not even on the list I always feel that they are missing the point. Why do we feed insects we refer to as 'pollinators'? To ensure that food crops have viability & continuity. To me, a 1/2 dozen of all of your fave veg or berries & at least 2 fruit or nut trees is a crop worthy of land ownership. My immigrant family in downtown Toronto fed 15 people in our rooming house from our backyard & the live poultry bought at the Jewish market near our church St. Elizabeth of Hungary. To me, the beauty of flowers in the garden is a companion to the bountifulness there as well. Not an instead of.
@@katherinespencer2073 Such wonderful perspective, and you must have great gardening skills. I’m coming around to that food focus now, but the flowers give me so much joy, and part of me learning is focus on pollinator flowers and not just “pretty”. There’s something about watching things grow .
@@BramptonGardener Thank you for the suggestions! It’s so funny , I just watched your seed haul video couple days ago. Did you receive a pack of the envy zinnias? Or do a giveaway? They looked so pretty I had to go search some out to order them immediately! It’s a small world of gardeners out there :)
Thanks for your informative list of gardening channels. I find they are like potato chips, cannot stop with just one! I really enjoy Erin at the Impatient Gardner because she gardens on a smaller scale. Garden Answer deserves the number one spot..they are who got me started watching You Tube for gardening.
Would love to see a list focusing on channels from people in the colder zones….where there is a lot of that white stuff that keeps us indoor for months! That content is often more relatable and address the issues faced. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your willingness to share your "curated" quality content by others that you deem valuable. I appreciate and respect your choices in this video, understanding others may make different choices. I know I will be empowered to up my garden game this year because I watched this one video.
My Top Favs are: The Impatient Gardener, Hortube with Jim Putnam, Flower Hill Farm, Gardening with Creekside, Guiding Green Thumb, Garden Answer, and Northlawn Flower Farm.
Wow, what an interesting list. Some of these I've watched but not subbed, others I have never come across... probably because my gardening interests are fairly specific at the moment ~ no bonsai, no orchids, lol. I live in the southwest US, rural, high desert, short growing season, 7,000 ft elevation (with high winds and low annual precip, 7 to 12 inches maybe). Gardener Scott is one creator that matches up better to my situation. I also realized that I have a backlog of videos yet to watch from YOUR channel, so I'll be doing that before checking out any of these others. You have excellent content, imho. Thanks for all that you share with us and may the New Year bring many blessings to you and yours. 😊🌻🌹
Thanks for the list, I already watch about half of these but it's great to have some new ones to try out. And as an Australian I was so happy to see you included Mark from Self Sufficient Me, he has so much knowledge & is great fun to watch & learn from!
I have watched quite a few who's on your list some I still watch I watch your videos and if you others like yours I like to watch those that I learned something from or learn new ways of doing things I've been gardening for at least 40 years so those who just show the basics I'm past that but I really do enjoy those who find new products different ways to do things more efficient but those are all great channels you have listed and especially for new gardeners or those who have not done it long thanks for sharing I know you put a lot of work in your research
Great summary Jason. I appreciate the time you took to compile the list. I am gladly you mentioned Andrew and Veggie family because they do educate while farming. Farmer Dre is great too. Would be interested to see where the Millennial Gardener ended up on the list. Happy New Year
Thanks Kittie. The Veggie Boys (and girls!) are on a rocket to the top right now! The Millennial Gardener is just one place ahead of me on the list, at #67
Thanks for doing this list! I’m curious where Gardener Scott landed on the list? Kinda shocked to not see him P.s. Because of your help, I’ve been propagating my first roses in my garage for several months now!!! A few didn’t make it but several are doing well. Thanks!! Happy New Year 🎉
My pleasure! Gardener Scott has a really strong viewership, and he's currently ranked at # 64 of the ones I've tracked. Just one spot behind P. Allen Smith, who had a TV show for years!
Hi Jason, thanks for putting this list together. I am not interested in veg, homestead or indoor plants. So I liked your list of general gardening. I would put your channel in my top 5! As I live in England I like 'Paul Ts World.' He has a traditional English garden. He is not a professional but I like his garden tours. Happy New Year. 😊
Thanks for compiling this video! This season was the first year I documented my gardening adventures and I'm always looking to find other gardening channels to learn and follow from. Hoping one day my gardening channel wil be featured in one of these videos too :) Hope you have a wonderful 2023!
Very interesting. This must have taken an incredible amount of time to put together. Thank you for taking on this task. Congrats on making the top 75! 😀
Thank you for the info . Simple living Alaska is my all-time favorite channel! My second favorite is not on your list and it’s (Scott ahead Black Gumbo, Southern gardening). Another that’s not on your list is (Acre homestead.) Thank you.🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱
Nice to see the channels I subscribe to, including you, of course😊 are on your list. I also want to say "big thanks" to you for your expertise; saved my roses and my sanity! Happy new year!

The Impatient Gardener is great and very relatable to those who don't have large tracts of land.
100% Suzanne - a great pick for a more average sized garden.
The Impatient Gardener is one of my favourites too!
Agree. Impatient Gardener and Garden Answer are my favourites!
I've been enjoying Nicole with Flower Hill Farm. She's been into flower farming for several years now. But only started a UA-cam channel a couple of years ago. I must say that Garden Answer really stands out and is in a class of it's own. 🌱
Charles Dowding should be in the top 20 list. Specially when he is a father of no dig /no-till movement

Yes I also love Laura’s Channel and also “you can’t eat the grass” is a fun watch.
I agree! Garden Answer deserves top spot. I watch them every day. Fabulous content.

Yes I love Gardening with Creekside. Owners Jenny and Jerry have worked hard for what they have built over the years. They don’t flaunt what they have built like others do with their fancy glass greenhouse whom I no longer watch.
@@lynnschantz9185 , I also love ‘Gardeningwithcreekside’! Love Jenny and Jerry.❤
The Millenial Gardener!!!! love it
I subscribed to quite a number in your list.
Agree! The....creators actually reply/answer to comments/questions no matter how big they get.
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm; so your list makes no sense and double standard. Very disappointing.
Garden answer deserves the spot as they really put great content in their shows and I’ve learned so much from them. I watch Northlawn flower farm and Y garden too. Jim Putnam and The southerners northern garden.
Thanks Joy. I couldn't agree more.
I can't believe these channels didn't make your list: The Impatient Gardener, The Middle-sized Garden, and HortTube with Jim Putnam.
I’m with you Carolyn!
Those happen to be some of my favorites too!
" can't believe these channels didn't make your list". Jason's is not a personal choice list.
These are my favourite including Fraser Rose Valley Farm
I love the Garden Answer channel because of the variation in topics, and I admire Laura for work ethic and talent. Gary Pilarchik and The Orchid Girl are two of my favorites as well. Your channel is my favorite when it comes to roses. I've learned more about growing roses from you in a few videos than I've ever learned from anyone else.
Thanks so much Mary!
I love Laura from Garden Answer. Always interesting and informative. She and Aaron share their family and garden with love. ❤❤❤
Kevin at Epic Gardening is great, super.knowledgeable and easy to watch. No fluff or nonsense.
I agree Shannon - laser focused on the topics!
I also love the spin off gardening channel from his garden partner jacques in the garden. He's growing fast.
Something I love about this community is how inclusive it is. No secrets and everyone supports everyone.
I love Laura from Garden Answer. So happy she made it to the top. She is awesome and so informative. I have learned so much from her.
Great list! My fav are Gardener Scott , The Millenial Gardener, Growfully with Jenna, Bubble Beet. 🙂
These are also my favorites
Interesting stuff. It makes me wonder why the algorithm has never (to my recollection) suggested most of these super popular channels to me. Works on mysterious ways I guess. Thank you for doing the research and sharing!
I agree with all!
I've gotten hooked on garden addictz.
That figures Lisa! You think you can take just one episode, but...
It's obvious you did a lot of great research. Thanks for an unbiased look at the truly popular channels. I look forward to making the top 25.
Thanks Scott. The way your channel is growing it's just a matter of time!
Also my favorites
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm Thank you for that information Jason. I appreciate your time. You, Erin, and Jim are my top 3 channels for gardening. Great information and no BS. LOL!
Thanks for the info. I get a kick out of watching "Flower Hill Farm". Plus she just bought a nursery, so it is super interesting to see all the reno's and "goings on" with that.
That's a great channel! I've been watching pretty regularly since we're adding some cuts to our assortment this year.
Mike Kincaid, He's in Wshington state and does plant propagation, mainly rhododendrons but a lot of other plants ,too.
Thanks Jay - Mike Kincaid is awesome!
Not enough subscribers to make your list but in addition to you I also like The Rose Geek for rose content. I really enjoy your channel.
Thanks Crystal. She's one of my favorites too!
Thanks so much for the encouragement and support!
Well, you're #1 in our book! I really love Gardener Scott and Growfully with Jenna too.
Thanks so much Leslie. I'm in good company then!
oooh! The first plant channel I watched was Planterina, then Harli G. SunnySidewith Nicole, FlowerHillFarm, Mike's Backyard Nursery, Savvy Dirt Farmer. Your content is always so great, happy new year. I launched my channel today!!!
Congratulations and best luck! It's a lot of fun
Mike and savvy are two of my favorite.
Great to get a list together like this :-) A few more I like:
The impatient gardener
You can’t eat the grass
Liz Zorab- Byther farm
She’s a mad gardener
Hort tube
Pepper Harrow
Flower hill farm
Bloom & Gray
Bare mtn farm
Simplify gardening
Linda vater
Claus dalby
Planting with Michaela
North lawn flower farm
Common farm flowers
The ‘farming’ ones on this list generally have a lot of good gardening info too so are applicable to the home gardener.
Thanks so much for adding your list!
I will definitely be checking some of these out too! I would also add Garden Addictz to this list, oh and maybe Give it a Go Garden ;)
Miss Orchid Girl gave me the information I needed to grow different kinds of orchids and help you
them thrive and bloom.
Thanks Celeste. I've been watching both of those channels and think they're great! I'll have a look for "The Rose Maker"
Really enjoyed this video!!! Thank you for all your efforts! 🧡❤️💜💙💚 Happy to see CaliKim was on there! Thanks again 👍👍👍 Liz from California
Roots and Refuge Farm is another favorite. Thanks for sharing!
Dig, Plant & Water & Linda Vater are my favorite
I'm wondering how I can find more like those?
Well it all comes down to personal taste I suppose, but there are some UA-camrs who match a similar audience profile: The Impatient Gardener, Bunny Guinness, The Middle-Sized Gardener, Growfully with Jenna, Y Garden
Thank you Jason! That was lot of work you did.
Happy New Year!
Happy New year to you and yours as well!
Cheers.
Thanks so much Gary - and sorry for the glitch on pronouncing your name!
gardening in Canada is great for colder climates! She is a soil scientist, so very knowledgeable.
She sure is! Thanks Brandy
I also like Gardening with Creekside.
Thanks Paul. Great channel, and really growing quickly!
Thanks for sharing your picks and Happy New Year to you and yours
Jessie at Plot 37 is one of my favorites. Garden Answer is definitely on my favorites list too.
Thanks for adding your favorites!
Jessie at plot 37 is a laugh a minute whilst being full of gardening tips, not to mention her little forays into London and surrounding areas.
I thought I'd add in millennial gardener. He is great! Great tips and he replies back if you ask questions. A lot of these other gardening channel don't respond to questions. He's pretty big, gotta have 200k subscribers if not more.
Thanks - great pick!
So happy to see MI Gardener! I love this guy. I've learned so much from him. I also like that I'm in the same growing zone as him.
Great channel - such a range of topics!
great list...thank you! I love THE MILENIAL GARDENER
My pleasure Lise. Great pick!
Happy New year 🥳
Soon you will be number one
Thanks and Happy New Year to you too Rajinder!
Thanks sir for the list, i Will check some of them to learn more about gardening because i love garden ing, vitamins in the soul ❤
I LOVE these videos Jason!!! Thank you for taking the time to create this!!! 👍👍👍
Thanks for adding your picks Judy!
Pretty much anything you need to know about gardening Jim Putnam (HortTube) has done a video on it.
Would love to see the whole list! Thanks for putting in the time to compile this!
Thanks for adding your picks!
S & K Greenhouse is one of my favourites, the knowledge and humour makes this channel a winner for me.
I also really enjoy HortTube with Jim Putnam.
Thanks for adding your picks
I also enjoy Gardener Scott. His voice is so soothing and relaxes me while I listen😅
Gardener Scott !!!good info. I have learned so much from his videos!
Jim Putnam from Hort Tube is so informative. He's a former nursery owner and really knows his stuff. Great teacher!
You bet. One of my personal favorites.
Yes! All my favorites!
Jason, Your list seems quite accurate.
Love watching your videos. You are so honest & genuine. You are a cutie. I'm sure I'm your granny or great grannies age, so my assessment has experience behind it.
Happy New Year to you Jason & Yours. 😉
Well you're going to make me blush! Thanks and Happy New Year.
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm 😅 Oh Jason, you're a doll. I always enjoy your videos.
Dig, plant, water, repeat is a small channel but is a great up and coming channel that focuses on flowering plants. Janey is a master gardener and very personable. One of my favourites.
Find Janey waffles on way to much and also copies Laura at garden answer alot
garden answer is by far in the right spot she is great to watch wonderful ideas her and her family are joyful and her children as well she gets them involed
Very interesting . Come to find out I watch about all the ones in the top ten without even knowing their ranking. Nice job with the analysis.
Thanks for putting this together! I imagine it was a lot of work to scrape!
There’s several channels that I hadn’t heard of, I’ll have to check them out.
Thanks and great work! Happy new year! 🥳
Happy New Year to you too - I'm crossing fingers that it's straight to spring without any more nasty arctic blasts for us both!
Happy newyear jason😍
And Happy New Year to you and yours. Thanks for watching
Thanks! I'd definitely consider doing a more regionally focused list.
@@twotonenavy Thanks, John. I also wish you a happy and healthy 2023!
Best regards from Germany - Craig.
Thanks so much Alligator Pie!
Try Niall gardens in Ireland. Or kitchen garden with Eli and Kate in scottlin if you haven't already.
@@katherinespencer2073
Such wonderful perspective, and you must have great gardening skills. I’m coming around to that food focus now, but the flowers give me so much joy, and part of me learning is focus on pollinator flowers and not just “pretty”. There’s something about watching things grow .
@@BramptonGardener
Thank you for the suggestions! It’s so funny , I just watched your seed haul video couple days ago. Did you receive a pack of the envy zinnias? Or do a giveaway? They looked so pretty I had to go search some out to order them immediately! It’s a small world of gardeners out there :)
John Lord and the middle sized garden are my favorites
Thanks for your informative list of gardening channels. I find they are like potato chips, cannot stop with just one! I really enjoy Erin at the Impatient Gardner because she gardens on a smaller scale. Garden Answer deserves the number one spot..they are who got me started watching You Tube for gardening.
Thanks Jennifer
Would love to see a list focusing on channels from people in the colder zones….where there is a lot of that white stuff that keeps us indoor for months! That content is often more relatable and address the issues faced. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Anne. I did make a vid focusing on several Canadian channels recently: ua-cam.com/video/vRwm9QZnrFo/v-deo.html mostly in cooler climates!
Great list!
Gardening with Creekside is a great channel with a great perspective of how a nursery is run!
Thanks Carole - Gardener Scott is a great pick for your situation - and he's been hard at work on the channel over the past couple of years!
Garden Fundamentals is very knowledgeable and full of good advice
He sure is!
Well, you're my favorite so far. You're straight to the point & literate.
Thanks so much Shana!
I’ve never watched most of the list, but I’m going to check them out!! I do love Acre Homestead & James Prigioni.
Very cool! Neat to see the diversity of channels
Thanks for the list, I already watch about half of these but it's great to have some new ones to try out. And as an Australian I was so happy to see you included Mark from Self Sufficient Me, he has so much knowledge & is great fun to watch & learn from!
You bet. He does a great job on his channel!
I think you did a GREAT job on this; very well thought out.

@@FraserValleyRoseFarm Thank you very much 😍😍😍🎉🎉
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the support! It really makes a difference.
My pleasure Pamela
Great summary Jason. I appreciate the time you took to compile the list. I am gladly you mentioned Andrew and Veggie family because they do educate while farming. Farmer Dre is great too.
Would be interested to see where the Millennial Gardener ended up on the list. Happy New Year
Thanks Kittie. The Veggie Boys (and girls!) are on a rocket to the top right now! The Millennial Gardener is just one place ahead of me on the list, at #67
Happy New Year Jason
Thanks Alvin - and a Happy New Year to you and yours as well!
Thank you I always appreciate advice on other peoples channels! It’s hard to find good ones
I love P. Allen Smith
I love Gary from the rusted garden. His videos are good for beginners. I got most of my info from him during my first 3 years gardening.
Thanks - he's fantastic at supporting the success of his viewers.
Thanks so much Pauline. Happy New Year to you and yours!
This was very cool! This had to of been a ton of work to put together!
Lol. Yeah, it was a little repetitive at times.
Thanks for compiling this video! This season was the first year I documented my gardening adventures and I'm always looking to find other gardening channels to learn and follow from. Hoping one day my gardening channel wil be featured in one of these videos too :) Hope you have a wonderful 2023!
My pleasure - and a wonder 2023 to you as well. Best wishes with your channel!
I’m curious where Growing in the Garden stands. Thank you for complying the list, great video.
My pleasure. They were ranked at 146 by views at the time of the video
Very interesting. This must have taken an incredible amount of time to put together. Thank you for taking on this task. Congrats on making the top 75! 😀
Thanks Amy!
Linda Vater, The Middle Size Gardener, Hortube with Jim Putnam, Dig, Plant, Water, Repeat, Gardening with Creekside are top ones for me!
Thanks Allen. Great choices!
Thank you for the info . Simple living Alaska is my all-time favorite channel! My second favorite is not on your list and it’s (Scott ahead Black Gumbo, Southern gardening). Another that’s not on your list is (Acre homestead.) Thank you.🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱💚🌱
Gardener Scott is so informative he is a wealth of knowledge! I’m so surprised he’s not on the list.
Love Garden Answer! So happy for their success!
Oh, he's on the list at # 65 - Great channel!
Nice to see the channels I subscribe to, including you, of course😊 are on your list. I also want to say "big thanks" to you for your expertise; saved my roses and my sanity! Happy new year!
