- Опубліковано 19 жов 2014
- In the conclusion of his interview with fellow writer-director Mick Garris, Wes Craven discusses sequels and remakes; the challenge of working in new and creative ways; making SCREAM (1996) and its follow-ups; what it means to be typed as a horror director; his excursions away from the genre like MUSIC OF THE HEART (1999); and the pleasures of being a working film maker.

"If I'm going to be a caged bird I'll sing the best song I can." That's a solid outlook.

A very humble but powerfull statement.
Everything he says at the end of this interview is very moving.
You can tell that as an artist maybe he was a bit frustarted that the genre and bussiness traped him in a way.
But at the end he was greatfull and satisfied anyway.
He gave us a lot of goodness, his legacy is massive.
RIP Wes Craven, true master of his craft.
Another great interview - thank you, Mick!
Glad you enjoyed it. Make sure to follow the weekly POST MORTEM podcast!
I miss you already, Wes.
Right, he could have done so much more. He was an amazing writer/director
Wow! That was a truly great interview! Wes is such an incredibly smart and completely likeable person. It's still kind of hard for me to believe that this was the same guy who gave us The Last House on the Left, one of the most brutal and deeply disturbing horror films in history.
Love your interviews 😄 Wes Craven was and still will always be my favorite director. RIP. You gave the world so much. Mick your awesome and thank you!
It would’ve been so damn cool to see Craven do a film with A24!! The possibilities!!
Best horror director ever! Why? It's all about characters. All his movies, even the "lesser" films have great, fleshed out, relatable characters
Wes was such an great guy!
I've just recently discovered these and I've got to say these are amazing. As a horror I feel no shame in saying I'm binging these hoping for more
R.I.P 😭
how come the serpent and the rainbow wasn't mentioned at all? that's a damn good movie. p.s. r.i.p. mr craven
it would’ve been wonderful to see Wes Craven make a Batman movie
Just discovered this channel today. Great stuff! I will admit, though, I really wanted to hear craven talk about Cursed.
Glad you found us. Obviously, we can't get into everything, but we tried to cover as much as we can. Keep exploring; hopefully you'll find a lot of information here.
Fantastic series of interviews with some great names, a real insight into some good topics, really appreciate this! Any upcoming we can look forward to?
Very happy you are having a good time with them. And yes, we have started doing more. Details to come!
