This is so cool, and it makes me feel better to hear from another artist who lets the medium inform the process, and doesn't have everything planned out from the beginning
This man is a true artist! these things are incredible! His weathering is on par with Adams.I love the leather piece on the nose and the hazy eyes would defuse an LED light so nicely!
Damn, those helmets look wonderful! I can see Adam geeking over those himself. lol I really love how there is such an interesting blend of influences that you can make out. The industrial-styled matte domed helmets remind me of the helmets from an anime called Bubblegum Crisis while the eyes of the helmets have that steampunk-like feel to them. The mouth piece on the other helmets brings to mind the Predator helmets from Predator 2 and onward. The Guyver suits from the Guyver 2: Dark Hero movie are some of my favorite organic power armor designs, both the human and monster versions, and these helmets just invoke those images in my mind.
I like that he starts in clay. Art should come from inspiration. He uses cost because he likes it, what better reason could there be? And his designs are fantastic.
@@xalener Well, if anything I feel like the 2012 Dredd movie already has a lot of shared DNA with Appleseed - and that was pretty damn good ! Anyways, back to drooling over these helmet designs. Really delightful stuff.
@@piorism Yeah, if there was a good adaptation of a 2d property in live action, Dredd's fucking it... But man, if Dreamworks GITS is the best the USA's got for a Shirow property, that's not a thought I wanna entertain. It'd just depress me
@@xalener Hi there Greg ! Well, I also meant to say that on top of being a good adaptation of the original comic material, the interactions between the two main characters in Dredd reminded me a lot of Brie and Deunan. Even the story around the slomo drug checks out as something that could happen in the Appleseed universe (in the form of a software/virus for instance). Of course I know that I sound like I am stretching things here but that's how I felt watching it. I am also probably in the minority in not disliking the live action GiTS too much, as to me it doesn't negates the brillance of the original manga, movie and series and brings in some good ideas. But I do understand the frustration as the characters do feel quite different of course.
this guy and Adam should weather something together, I think they would have so much fun. Also, the organic nature of the front of the helmets reminds me of the Drag Queen and makeup artist Hungry, they do some amazing organic almost alien stuff.
For years I've been hoping to get one of these for years! But shipping to Europe is like double the price and I'm not ready to pay customs so much money that doesn't go to the artist at all.
Adam, just a quick question, are you/were you involved in the making of the Mythbusters video game? Regardless, have you had a chance to play it and what are thoughts on it? It seems to do a good job in tackling not only the oddball science but also the production and the general feel of the show. Cheers!

I can almost always sculpt and/or carve something from scratch in far, far less than the amount of time that people spend filling in all the stupid layer lines in their 3D prints. Perfect symmetry is overrated.

These helmets look extraordinary! I looooove the designs.
Good timing! I've been checking out his work on Insta, beautiful stuff. Hope he gets some movie work or something.

This was absolutely fantastic! So much talent. And great questions Norm! Really fascinating to hear his process.
Super glad to see this dude's art getting a wider exposure! I love the first-gen helmet (I'm still working on) from Burgerstrings.
These are amazing and make me want to go make stuff right now!

I love these convention videos! Great way to kick off summer! I missed them 😁. Thanks Tested crew!

Killer work! Absolutely beautiful Chris!
if Norm didn't put one of these awesome helmet/masks on his head by the end of the video I was going to be a little bummed.
i NEED a video about those super realistic "Ahhh! Real Monsters" monsters!
Omg ahh real monsters!! I loved that show as a kid
His work is incredible!
BurgerStrings is a master! Taking notes!
Now I want to buy one, to paint it myself!!!
I own a few of his helmets and masks. It’s great stuff.
Wonder how durable those antler thingies are lol i imagine they could break off quick
Love his work!
Beautiful work
I see a lot of Jamie's humblesness in you. It's amazing thanks
Absolutely loving these ! They would look right at home in an Appleseed live action movie.
after Ghost in the Shell... I'm not sure if I want to actualize that.

Awesome guy to interview. Wish the audio was better. Hard to get through this video because of the audio.
Fantastic work.
Excellent work!
I do hope to pursuit this kind of profession and be able to meet these artists one day.
Those are thoroughly badass! Wish I had the cheddar for one lol
Amazing design and detail
These are amazing. I would love to have one for sure!
Really amazing work.
Fabulous video, fabulous work!
Great stuff, shame about the sound but I bet it was tricky.

I'm a fan of this kind of thing and especially creating💖❤💖
I was just talking to him too! My buddy ended up buying that orange one. lol
Awesome work and designs!
Ok so this may come from a weird place, but these look like the masks elite grineer would wear (warframe).
These are so cool!
someone in the sound department got fired for this one lol
Just found them on instagram, what a coincidence!
I literally followed this guy on Instagram 2 days ago and now tested has a video on him

Did someone check the sound recording? understand to understand properly.not the first time.
Really cool

Drawing is not making...so printing is not really making either. Getting your hands dirty is exactly what this is about. Very cool guy.
Dude these have been everywhere on Instagram lately
why do i feel like he worked on some of the armors from Outer Worlds...
AAAhhh Real Monsters Live action would be awesome...
Grande 🎉
Oof, such incredible work.
Very Cool, Very Anime - Where's Briareos!
This video came up on my playlist, I was just listening to it in a background tab and it made this dude sound oddly like Obama.
I wish my name was Chris Hamburger too :(
I bet the jokes you'd have to endure would get old really fast!
Real Ah Real Monsters?!
He really likes designs with a large domed head and protruding chin. Seems to match well with his bald head and full beard lol.
Norm, and Joey, PLEASE have Adam chip in for better sound equipment. A 5.8 million sub channel should not have such bad sound.
If you guys need an RX audio engineer on staff.... I can help.
The audio in this is very strange, like they're under water.
Imagine he did do engineering
Funny I follow him on Instagram! So many talented artists and markers on that platform ❤️

Norm loves that mask

@@mikeuk666 what?
@@mikeuk666 Oddly, the sound from Norm with his mask on was fine. It was Chris's voice that was muffled and washed out.
Still doing masks?
The mask is getting a bit old now....

That's a little reactionary. I think it's dumb too but I think we will get further if we be a bit kinder to one another.
lose the useless mask ... 😒
That mask of Norm's is so annoying and unnecessary.
