Oh look, an artist who knows the internet and realises he may as well put his own albums on UA-cam before someone else does! You're awesome, man.
This is the only album I'll listen to from start to finish. It all flows perfectly, and there're no bad or forgettable tracks to be found here!
Never heard of this band till I stumbled upon it here. Liked it so much, I purchased the CD.
Still loving this album all these years later. I drove 3 hours to Omaha to see you perform at a bar for $8 back when you were touring for this album. No regrets.
This shows how much faith the artist has in people supporting them over just ripping the music right off UA-cam.
This and Violent Emotion are competing favourite albums! However, I'm an assistant educator (teacher) at one of the Minneapolis (MN) high schools and so I end up listening to this album in my classroom when I'm grading papers. It confuses my students; I'm just expanding their mundane musical tastes :)
I love the song Lovesick. It's very eerie and dark but there's such a beauty to it and it fills me with so much hope when I listen to it. The whole album is amazing!
Seeing as you're answering all the coments, I can only assume you're reading the comments so I'll just use this space to say I've listened to this album over and over and it helped me through a lot of shit this year, so idk man thanks for making such awesome and relatable music. And I hate sounding like those stereotypical kids who say this just to get attention from their fave bands, but this album is just so fucking perfect

You are like VNV Nation for me in the sense that with every new album I am blown away and swear it can't be topped. New album comes and boom...not only is it topped and I am proven wrong but I ask myself how it's even possible. Great work Daniel, I really do love every track!

Very nice. While I agree with Maria Monster, I still think my favorite album is A Violent Emotion. I love the way your music is ever evolving to incorporate more influences and emotions from the compassionate to the abysmal dark. I have to say, in my long line of musical loves, Aesthetic Perfection and Graves' other works stand on top. Never cease to amaze us, Daniel Graves.

Well, many of us have passed the innocence of getting married and life, in general. I saw a truly wonderful wedding in a Thai village, and I was surprised about how it affected me, a true purity. I've never seen a better wedding.

If by "moderate" you mean "10/1 compressed, then distorted, then 10/1 compressed with a VF1, then compressed again in software" then yes, very "moderate" compression indeed.
I've always disliked the sound of false chord screaming, I just didn't know any other way to do it back then. So I overdid it.
***** Singing in general isn't easy. In the beginning, lots of people, myself included, make the mistake of assuming that it's something that you just immediately "get" when a technique is explained to you. It's like with any other instrument, it's not just understanding the technique, it takes practice and physical skill. It's hard. It's something I continue to work on and improve. @@blinkth3dog Agreed. I love the variety of instruments used as well, electronic music is criticized (often justly) for being overly repetitive and simple but Showtime has so many different instruments, along with the vocals, at least at the time, being more varied than in the past.
