That pull out you mentioned on the way down was the very first place I tried to take a panoramic series of pictures (pictures placed end to end to make one long picture) back in 1980. I had a Cannon AE-1 35 mm camera and a tripod. I shot from South to North in eight pictures that when placed together captured most of the Washoe Valley. Thanks for the awesome video Kyle.
Drove that highway a number of years ago in the opposite direction in a 36' motorhome towing a trailer with our Toyota pickup truck on it. Not exactly a high speed drive.

It’s a great place to take pictures that is for sure! Thanks for watching!
Found myself humming the theme from Bonanza, for some reason...I am old.
The ponderosa ranch was in the area!
A great do-over of an older video of yours. But those wild mustangs have to be the highlight of this one.

At the beginning of your video, your little logo in the bottom right of the screen blocked out the year that Virginia City was founded. Was that 1859?
According to the Virginia City historical society you are correct, it was founded in 1859
