  • You want to lose weight.
    Gain muscle.
Adjust your diet to really feel better…
But creating new habits is HARD. So many of us have thought…
“I just don’t have the willpower.”
“I don’t have the self control or discipline!”
But what if it isn’t that you don’t have enough willpower or self control?
What if it is that you’ve been approaching how you make workout and diet changes all wrong?
What if you need to embrace that discipline is BUILT?
Because so often we are sabotaging our own results in how we go about making healthy habit changes,
I wanted to highlight 6 mistakes I often see clients making and how you can avoid these same issues!

Big diet and huge workout plans started at the same time is what I see all the time. Start the workout first, you may see some weight loss. Then focus on adding healthy foods. Only after those, calorie restrictions. It's about sustainable lifestyle, not getting "hot" in an impossible amount of time

@seattlegrrlie, I never thought of exercising first. I will give it a try. Thanks!

I would say change diet first
You can’t out train a crappy diet

Definitely is about finding the habit swaps that meet you where you are at to start :-) The more we build with something that feels easy, the better off we will be! If that is training for you, FABULOUS! Get moving first. Because the more you do, the more you do!

@@darnitthelma4247 You can't outrun a crappy diet BUT exercise in general will help you feel better. If you go straight to munching salad and then trying to exercise, you're going to feel low energy.

I love the dog at the end of every video.
I’ve been realizing all of this to myself lately. Nothing changes if nothing changes and even small changes add up and are better than nothing.

YES! Even those small changes build and snowball! And kiwi and sushi are the stars!

Thanks.. it’s true. We do become overwhelmed. It’s much easier to start small, and stay consistent.

This is just what I needed! Thank you for putting the “I’m possible” into the impossible. Off to journal, then the gym.❤

This is an EXCELLENT video. Principles discussed here can be applicable to so many other things. It reminds me of my Project Management Training I received. The principles you discussed along with those of Project Management can be used together to enable success in sooooooo many things. THANK YOU

Great video! Small changes definitely work for me. I started with only 10 minutes of strength training a couple of days a week and slowly increased and now I am able to consistently do 30-40 minutes 4 times per week.

Excellent video, but showing all those donuts is not helping :) Found out that doing less than I was has improved my recovery and I am still maintaining my weight and making progress in my workouts.
