Respect to Luke. Bet he didn't anticipate becoming a builders as well as Herdsman when he signed up to work for you
Luke looks like a big bumblebee in that outfit, bless his heart.😉
That’s farming you have to do it all 😅
It is easy to see how good Luke is. He just quietly puts his head down and gets on with the job. Yet, somehow he's shining through and a lot of us are noticing his diligent, steadfast and willing character. I'd happily work with him or even for him.
I really have to take my hat off to Tom, the changes he's made to the farm in the couple of years I've watched the channel are amazing, a true inspiration to the younger generation. Well done Tom, your dad must be so proud of you, well in fact he is, you can see it when you two are together.
😊😊😊😊😊😊
Nice comment ✌️
Always enjoy seeing the ginger guy get out and still show you a thing or two. Have a great weekend everybody. Be well be you
Fantastic to see the progress and inner workings of the dairy, that will be the center of Pemberton Farms for the next century. It's truly amazing what a couple of dedicated farmers could construct over the previous decades that lasted over 60 years as a working plant. This one has all the professional building techniques and modern materials that should last several more generations. Tom and Joe's grandchildren will appreciate all this hard work.
Afternoon Tom, pleased last Saturday went so well for all your visitors and of course the girls, thanks for all at the farm particularly the shop for all their hard work.
Very impressive Tom. Glad to see some of your dreams for the farm coming true. You and your Dad and your crew have worked hard and it shows.
Laying bricks or blocks is a difficult job. To do it quickly and accurately needs a high level of skill. Those guys did a great job in difficult circumstances.
Would like longer videos, you don't have to talk constantly, show more of the daily activities like food shop, meat prep, watch your dad play a few holes of golf, what Joe is up to, tour of local town. Let's spice it up a change of pace visit other farms! Looking forward to a new season of farming with Ginger and son!!! 😊✌️🙏
Ideally put some protection board between your visqueen and fill material next time, it’s cheap and prevents risk of the visqueen being damaged. Also a bit of ply is your friend to pour fill against so it goes where you want it to.
Brilliant job guys. You lot work so hard! Farming isn’t a job as much as it’s a lifestyle 🤎 good on you all!
*sips milk*
😉 🥛
104th! GOOD MORNING TOM,LUKE,HIEDI, AND THE GINGER WARRIOR WITH A MUSTACHE! The ginger warrior makes a good supervisor! Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
Looking great. Think luke as earned his name on a plaque in the parlour along with the other lads that have helped build it.
well done All it looks amazing thank you Luke for staying around and helping all the hard work at the end will be worth it
Yup... I bet being a back up 'navvy' wasn't in the job description!
Nice to see that some people actually still know how to use a shovel and manual labour. 😂👏🏻👍🏻
Same forking in silage in
They are definitely not counsell workers.
Those flat bottom shovels aren’t easy on you. Needs a nice round bottom shovel with a point they go into the rock pile so much easier. Either way…a shovel is a shovel and at the end of the day your back and arms will be arguing about who worked harder. BeWell ✌️
Your a good man Tom!! Not only for your dairy expertise but as a foreman for a job site as well. And digging in and getting the tough work done when necessary. "I" for one will be glad when I se that parlor floor without water in it and none seeping in. HOPE that your crew have built a dry box. Great video once again!!
Mate, you and your staff’s work ethic is admirable. If we all worked like that the world would be a far better place to live in
Keep on it Tom . Luke’s a great support 👍
Tom, did you wet down and compact that backfill ?? You will end up with voids under your floor slab as it naturally compacts itself over time and possible problems later on 💪 great videos as always mate keep it up 👍
It's all a little, uhmm, not by the book. Drains should be bedded in free flowing fill, like pea gravel. UK should be 100mm backfill and compact.
I am not sure why they are doing a 215mm wall, what's wrong with piers?
But it'll probally be alight :)
Id agree about gravel compaction.. as once the concrete gets poured over it. The water from it will just seep down. Pulling the gravel with it.
Should there also be silt fabric over the pipe?
@@bazboyq normally yes especially in ground with a high clay content
**SUCH HARD WORK!!** BUT it's all looking amazing! You can visualize the parlor already. How great the payoff will be.
Some heavy work you're all getting stuck in on at the moment, but just like with the building of the big shed it'll be worth it all when the new parlour is up and running :)
Then you can all look back on it and be even more proud of the work you're doing. Have a great weekend to the whole team!
That’s pretty solid looking block work Tom. It’ll last for hundreds of years.
You’re so lucky to have Luke there. He ca turn his hand to anything.
That little dumper was much easier than using wheel barrels to fill in the far side, it saved you a lot of time and hard work. The new milking parlor is really shaping up now. There’s still a lot of work to be done but it will all be worth it when you are able to start using it.
Savage job Tom and Luke
You are ALL an amazing team!!! It’s looking fab and can’t wait to see the walls go up. Super long days for you but totally worth it in the long run. Thanks for another fab video 😊
Wow! You're definitely not afraid of hard work!. It's all looking great now - looking more like a parlour!
Thanks very much for last Saturday. I was beside myself when I met you and the Ginger Warrior lol! Made my whole week. Well worth the drive from Wales. Plus, your beef is AWESOME!
I thought I worked hard at Tom's age... not true. Respect young Pemberton.
Great effort from everyone, well done
Tom, What a difference you guys made with levelling out the ground around the pit and the wall going up ,All great progress ! It’s amazing how many small obstacles you hit with any building project which knocks the timeline for six. Your all doing an amazing job keeping the farm running and carrying out the building works at the same time. First class 👍
you're
It's starting to take shape Tommy
Wonderful job but a lot of back breaking work. Proud of you Tom
Great video, thanks for sharing Tom….. hopefully you can stop the water in the pit.
Thanks!
It's so exciting to see all the progress your making. You've come a long way from a young man singing tractor karaoke. Seems like yesterday, you guys were opening the farm shop. Thanks for sharing tom
Man I can respect rocking a dual color polo under covers. I like to work outside on a polo also.
looking good Tom
That brickie is laughing all the way to the bank with walls like that 🤑
43 years ago I built the milk pit, as you do now, a bit smaller (2 times 4) with 8 milking sets, now that I see you building, the construction of that time is coming up again, nice to see you will enjoy it a lot
I remember my uncle building the same (4x2) on our farm in 1969. How modern we thought ourselves then, eh! I'm loving seeing Tom's new parlour coming together. Vision, planning and hard graft. Fabulous job.
I don't know how you can keep up the energy from 4am until gone 8pm at night. All the best respect to you Tom and the rest of the lads. Let's hope that now the cows are out your work load eases a bit.
Its fantastic how much you manage to help the crews with the projects. Shows your dedication! Its looking more and more like a parlor!
Cracking on Nicely Tom but.... Did you put pea gravel around the land drain pipes? MOT will clog the pipwork with the fines from it.
Should really add a membrane around the pipe and also lay in pea gravel to stop it. I know its added costs to do if you already had the material around but Im always on the way of do it once, do it right. :;)
Also, did it all get compacted down? You'll find that will sink and settle after a time and leave voids below the concrete potentially causing issues.
Otherwise, cracking on with the build well!
It's getting there. Looking good. Glad to see everyone chipping in and helping.
Great job Tom. You are killing it! The future looks bright!
Progress!!! Love to see it. Excellent work all round there. You can see it taking shape.
You are a worker - give you credit for that.
Any chance you have a simple diagram of what your parlor will look like? Having a hard time figuring it out. I thought you were having a double sided parlor, but there is no way cows are walking to be milked down that small right side where they are building the high wall in this video!
Looking good! Keep it up. Can’t wait to see the first cow milked.
Looking awesome Tom.
It's right, Tom, it's right! You are almost always right You always have the best man for each job!😂 And the best woma(e)n for the job! 10:57 10:59
So excited for you all! Love watching your amazing farm updating. Love your Ladies! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Great to see the progress. I believe that taking part in construction (shoveling gravel) helps to take ownership of the project. So, you, your dad, Luke. Will be so proud of yhe work ehen completed.
Now that’s what u call an honest day’s work.
Lots of progress Tom well done!
You and your team look knackered 😴 we love you 😍
Great Team work Tom and respect to Luke 😊
Tom you impressed me. Way to go working with the builders. It shows a lot about your character.
How big is the distance from the wall that is up a few feet to the pit? I don't see how that is going to be big enough for cows unless you are gonna milk miniature cows on that side.
Why did you not shutter the pit walls ?
Ok I need to find a project so I can use one of those little dumper trucks 😊 Fantastic video as always
I love you! I'm an old person in rural US watching from my recliner as you WORK.
I hope they ran a compactor around the new fill.
Really interesting seeing the parlour progress Tom ! 👌🏻
Fair play Tom
I bet every single shovel full feels great as you know you're getting closer to the dream Tom.
Sadly we were never able to come over as my dad fell ill and passed away on the 14th, we will make it over someday soon once things settle down though!
The boys are doing a great job it is looking good tom it will be awesome when it is all finished 👍👍
Thanks for sharing
Your doing a great job Tom (well the builders are. You know what I mean) me and my boss get excited on a Tuesday & and Friday knowing your videos are coming out. But please please please could you make them longer. I know your a busy man but we all want to see more.
Great set of builders you have , great video 😊
Great video showing good progress Tom 😀👍🏻
Another great video advancement of the family farm x

Love it Tom doing good job can't to see the final results
Talk about a hard worker. You're amazing. Luke 👍👍 the Ging 👍👍. I'm knackered and I'm just watching. Here's some backup 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Great video Tom what a great work you have In Luke
It's looking good tom.
Proper job! Keep up the hard work Tom and GingerNinja, won’t be long now lad and you’ll be in milking again and no more stress…until next big project as we all know your gonna find more to do! Love the update and happy farming!
Looking good Tom 👍
Such a difference in the days work. A lot of work a lot of cooperation. Many hands makes the work a lot lighter it’s looking really good.
good effort. getting forward one day after the other
I was checking yesterday to see if there was a new upload! And here it is yesss
Wow really hard work...looks great ❤
Tom I've done many foundations, proper procedure is to use tar smear, dimpled board and barrier, the visqueen will erode out, saddens me to say you have many more true "Craftsmen" in the UK than we do in the US
Hahaha, the see ya later UA-cam at the end 🤣 love it. Have a great weekend team Pemberton
Love this I know it sounds weird but I think you should put in a time capsule.
After watching you shovel all that mot but 20+ years ago where I live it was called quarry dust and was some of the cheapest infill you could buy(changed days now as its very pricey) my dad had me spreading 20ton of it by hand on a road as punishment for coming home drunk a few weeks before my 18th birthday.
The sweat that poured off me that day made me think twice of coming home drunk
The park or is coming along great!! ❤❤
Looks very good tom, you and the boys made a lot of progress
Looking good Tom
As always, my most biggest respect paid to all of you and the guys working this hard, you are blessed having such skilled people around you, I know the hardship of building at the farm, all the thousands of barrels of gravel, dirt and manure over the years, very few people get this level of hard work in them this modern age, also, that level of skill the brick layers has is impressive every single time
And ginger man cant help himself from diggin into the working either, haha you are going to have a hard time getting him to slow down - "pension, what bother is that thing?! I can still milk the cows when I am 125 years old, can hear your dad saying it ! 😁
Thank you guy’s 😊
Couldn't wait for this!!
As most Farmers n Ranchers. We kinda gotta be Jack of all trades ! Master of none!😂😂😂😂
Top job team
Cracking effort everyone 👌🏻👊🏻🍻
Great video Tom back breaking work shovelling crush and run 🥵 keep up with the great videos 👏👏👍👍
Love the way you can see the wheelbarrows sink when you fill them in the Timelapse
You and Luke were working really hard, it's looking so good. Hope the drain work's ! You are both going to be sore in a couple of days.
Another very interesting video Thank you
throw some bath boombs in the pit to make the draining more fun.
love it tom
