NO, though GIFT is a good plan by government and may give a little boost to the economy but similar kind of projects are there in maharashtra too. Another reason is that Maharashtra is at no. 1 in india in terms of GDP and Gujarat comes at no.5 after Tamilnadu, UttarPradesh and Karnataka. GDP plays a major role if you want to become a financial capital and for that the government have a big job. Gujarat can become the richest state of India but it will require all lot of reforms in some of the government policies and also the people must support the government and work hard if reforms are bought.

Mumbai is indeed the city of dreams, but we need to make sure that it remains eligible for this status. We need to prevent resurgence of regionalism in Maharashtra in general and Mumbai in particular. I remember how scary the situation had become for some of us in 2009-10, now that MVA is in power, they are trying to stoke regionalism again. I also can see a lot of people who have not been to Mumbai discredit the city, but it is up to us to act maturely and answer them with facts instead of using unsavory language(not you but talking in general). The world is in a state of flux never seen before and this is not the time for us to become complacent. Look at Mumbai and Navi Mumbai the contrast in terms of cleanliness is hard hitting, even within Mumbai the more posh localities are much more clean and well maintained, we also need to work on ensuring a high level of cleanliness for the entire city. The political nexus that results in unkept public infrastructure, constant delays in every governmental ventures, and tragically high levels of encroachment are all a cause of concern too. Sadly most Mumbaikars are unaware of all these dangers that could let other cities take a lead over our city. Let's all do our best to mitigate at least the problems we think we can help address.

I feel that Tamilnadu and Chennai s growth is much more Wholesome when compared to Maharashtra and Mumbai. You have multiple tier two and three cities in TN but not as much in Mahabharata and because most companies have their headquarters in Mumbai the GDP output gets reflected in Maha( due to accounting practices) even though the actual work is done in other states. You can clearly see that TN is second in GDP and the most industrialised state in India ( not Maha and Gujarat contrary to popular opinion ). You can make a video on the growth story of TN.

GDP plays a major role if you want to become a financial capital and for that the government have a big job. Gujarat can become the richest state of India but it will require all lot of reforms in some of the government policies and also the people must support the government and work hard if reforms are bought.

Mumbai is indeed the city of dreams, but we need to make sure that it remains eligible for this status.
We need to prevent resurgence of regionalism in Maharashtra in general and Mumbai in particular. I remember how scary the situation had become for some of us in 2009-10, now that MVA is in power, they are trying to stoke regionalism again. I also can see a lot of people who have not been to Mumbai discredit the city, but it is up to us to act maturely and answer them with facts instead of using unsavory language(not you but talking in general). The world is in a state of flux never seen before and this is not the time for us to become complacent.
Look at Mumbai and Navi Mumbai the contrast in terms of cleanliness is hard hitting, even within Mumbai the more posh localities are much more clean and well maintained, we also need to work on ensuring a high level of cleanliness for the entire city.
The political nexus that results in unkept public infrastructure, constant delays in every governmental ventures, and tragically high levels of encroachment are all a cause of concern too. Sadly most Mumbaikars are unaware of all these dangers that could let other cities take a lead over our city. Let's all do our best to mitigate at least the problems we think we can help address.

I feel that Tamilnadu and Chennai s growth is much more Wholesome when compared to Maharashtra and Mumbai. You have multiple tier two and three cities in TN but not as much in Mahabharata and because most companies have their headquarters in Mumbai the GDP output gets reflected in Maha( due to accounting practices) even though the actual work is done in other states. You can clearly see that TN is second in GDP and the most industrialised state in India ( not Maha and Gujarat contrary to popular opinion ). You can make a video on the growth story of TN.
