I had the game for the Mac OS around 2007-08 and loved the game. Used a mouse and keyboard to play. Love your videos as this is the closest I can get to actually playing this great game again.
Honestly, as someone who grew up playing this game, asking his father to deal with the crypts levels for ages, this game is one of the best first person shooters made, and I am so glad to have found your channel, the later levels are stupid hard and I am looking forward to seeing how you cope with them
Yes!!! I saw a video that said it was used against korea at defensive positions.... There was a 6volt battery attached to it with a transformer that can boost it to 20000 volts!!! It helped to throw infrared light and the scope kinda works like a receiver.... Pretty cool innovation I must say 🤩🤩

From a guy that has a playstyle much more agressive, as I can tell by watching how you played another FPS games before, you're good with stealth gameplay. No damage and nobody saw you at all. Of course, this mission forces you to play stealthly, but still impressive. =)
Thank you! It's so ironic, pretty much every game I've done, even when it comes to platformers, I've still played them in some kind of risky way. I'm surprised this level only took me one try. I still have problems with it from time to time.
I remember playing this mission for the first time, I got stuck at the second building, because I couldn't figure out where to go, I was trying to kill the guys on the bridge, but I only kept failing the mission until I finally figured out you have to go all the way around. I usually don't kill the guy in that building, I just sneak below the window and then just run. Also I never knew that you can just kill the guard infront of the gate and the officer behind the window will not see it. I always thought he would see it, that's why I always kill him first, which can be risky, since you have to shoot him twice, because the first bullet will only break the window and before you get the chance to fire the next bullet he will already be runing to the alarm, so you have to aim really accurately and fast and kill him and then quickly kill the guard below.
It never occurred to me to just walk in front of the house. That would definitely reduce your chances of being seen by the guy in the tower. Of course, what I think is interesting, is that when you go around the bridge, there's a hill where you can sneak up on that same guy in the tower, but that still alerts the guys down below on the bridge. =P

I will always love this game which is why I still play it. Was my first video game and such a challenge for me for reason I got hooked playing. My hardest was the tram...I fell out countless times lol😂🤣😅. I remember sitting on my foot stool playing and was so deep into it and determined to make it thru that when I fell out of the tram I literally fell off the foot stool lol. So 👍👍👍 to RTCW that gave me a challenge and hooked me in!
Maybe it's the version I'm using but everything doesn't go as planned: the guard above the gate sees me regardless, the water tower sniper is on the back side and the guard you can't kill is constantly looking forward instead of patrolling.
it's weird that this was my most hated mission in RTCW, but in enemy territory they changed the map slightly to make the fuel dump which was my favourite map to play on
This was probably the most frustrating mission, as the enemies were always able to detect me. The hardest part was the second farm house (the one with the grammophone). I couldn't get past it for weeks.
After watching your series I decided I wanted to play this game once more, and I'm in this very mission right now. I gotta admit it just isn't the same without your narration though lol
there is no alarm box in the first tower for the guard to activate, however if he sees you, he WILL fire his mauser,, alerting guards who ARE close to an alarm box. the second tower has an alarm box but he's easy enough to avoid eye contact until you climb up and eliminate him. I am loving these RTCW vids! keep up the good work! ( I am a little upset that you play in a way that your viewers cannot, without saying how it is accomplished (keeping crosshair reticle while sniper scope is enabled)
I love this game and particularly this mission, very well played. But I prefer killing everyone, except of course the last guard, and pick up all ammunition I can get, it's more challenging and satisfying.
Can never forget how I couldn't find the rifle because I never listened or followed the guy going to take a leak, also that rifle was a life saver on the ice maps.
I recently replayed this mission and it literally took me, by RTCW's count, 37 reloads to finish. Granted I killed pretty much every guard on the map "just in case" (and the guy in the first tower I killed with the Mauser from the entrance to the tunnel, thinking I had to kill him to avoid him seeing me), so I probably made it much harder than it had to be. All that frustration and I never realized you could go through the front gate ("only an idiot would just walk in the front door", I thought), I went in through the side window and it was probably a lot more difficult that way.
Thank you so much for this video. I didn't think to eliminate the guard manning the LMG before the guard that discovers the Snooper. I actually had to kill the man in the tower with a knife attack as well before the Snooper finder because the guards at the compound kept discovering his body if I killed him with the Snooper.
i like how you just walk through the main gate just before you get in the truck and end the level.. i always go left from that gate game and into the window down the left... where the dude is in lower building after you whip out the sten., i sneak in there lol.... I like seeing how other players do the same levels but their way. also been using this just to see the secrets i missed and i dig it man. Alright!

Man don't care for graphics, but when I was young this used to scare the shit out of me . I miss playing this , but my computer is damaged unable to use it .

Tip: if you're playing on "I am Death Incarnate", _do not_ use the knife. It's way too weak and chances are you'll get fired upon (and loose since they'll sound the alarm). Plus, one guy is usually enough to kill you at short range.
Interesting. I was actually playing on Death incarnate when I did this video, although I did notice that it was usually easier to get them in one-hit when going for the upper back
i failed this 38 times.... 90% of them being because of that guard at the end. This was the hardest part of the game for me, and the elites in the defiled church I found very difficult.

This was the mission that made me put the game down and not play it again for years, way back when I was a kid. Now I can do it, and it's...'manageable', but it was so a product of the time where games without stealth mechanics had no business putting in an immediate fail-state enforced stealth mission, but insisted on doing just that.
I`m going crazy with this it keeps saying I have 3/4 objectives even though I have them all and will not let me exit level I`ve replayed it 6 times .Any ideas/ thanks..
I have the exact same problem. I've gotten all the objectives: infiltrate compound, check. Get the Snooper rifle, check. Stowaway in truck, check. Make sure no alarms are sounded, check. That's 4. But it says I'm only at 3/4. I think it has to do with the final guard, the one you're not supposed to kill. If he is jittery, even though he's not sounding the alarm, he won't authorize the truck to move. One solution is to use the /notarget cheat. Works like a charm (type it twice, until you get confirmation that notarget is ON). Then no one will see you. EXCEPT if you go for the secret. For some reason, hopping onto the rooftop or entering the secret area will trigger the alarm. So kill the ones in the first areas for ammo (it carries over to the next level), get all the stash you're supposed to get, also get the mauser scope on the table in the building with two open windows, and then go to exit the level.

Okay so apparently the guy in the windows saw me in that upper corner spot by that tall guard tower. I killed the guy on the ground first, then got the guy in the windows from that upper spot next to the tall tower. Shot the guy on the water tower BEFORE opening the gate, then shot that other guy under the red roofed shack looking area. So far so good, will keep posted on progress here. I hate this stupid level.

I can’t go past this mission as the last guy who is behind that gate & who is walking left right & centre isn’t moving at all I can’t go past that room where there’s nothing in it. Can anyone help me ?
What are your graphic settings? Looks much better than my game regardless what I choose in the settings. Is it the original 2001 game or did you use some graphics enhancer or something?
The forest is impossible, I got all the objectives the treasures and the secrets. even got onto the truck. moved forward to proceed still the alarm went off.
I looked up the walk through for help finding the rifle I have found the spot and everything but the rifle was there even had the 30 cal ammo is the rifle in a different spot on the og xbox version or is my game glitched
Apparently at the guard post near the snooper rifle, the net sets the alarm off if you touch it. Also how does this compare with Paderborn Village in your opinion. Feel free to answer this question when you do that level if you wish
Didn't know that about the net. I always wondered what the point of that thing was. I definitely think Paderborn is harder than this. I remember struggling with that level so much when I first played this game, whereas this level only took a few tries on my very first playthrough.
Funny I'm quite the reverse, I didn't have any issues with Paderborn Village, although I decided after the first failure that getting the secrets last was a prudent strategy. On the forest level, getting past the opening part was a problem for me

Is it impossible to complete the mission if i alert the guard im not supposed to kill? Ive deactivated all the alarms and ive done every objective but it still says that i haven't ensured that no alarms are sounded. I don't know what to do
Bro i literally did this mission ans kept on getting 3/4 objectives No alarm was rung but it glitched somehow Finally i finished it without killing anyone except the 2 near the snooper rifle and tower soldiers
nevermind on the xbox version it is in a crate in the first 10 seconds of the mission i guess this must be the ps2 or the pc version but most likely pc
just me that hates this mission part? Im on my first playthrough and The games is really great but hate being forced to stealth in games that arebt realy stealth game overall so this lvl is just annoying as hell for me , played it at least 30 times and still cant get it , maybe Im just terrible i dunno :/

The snooper rifle actually exists, i was quite amazed when i found it, it's called m3 carbine, one of the earliest infrared scope rifles

Actually, the Fuel Dump mission is an even harder two part stealth mission in the Enemy Territory Single Player mod.

The Snooper is awesome. It's so incredibly accurate. It's like the peak of stealth weapons. =D

With this mission, it's strangely easy to finish without taking damage. I guess that's due to the stealth factor.
I love this game and particularly this mission, very well played.

Always use the Grease Gun if possible. MP40 and Tommy Gun have alot of spread.

I can’t go past this mission as the last guy who is behind that gate & who is walking left right & centre isn’t moving at all I can’t go past that room where there’s nothing in it. Can anyone help me ?
What are your graphic settings? Looks much better than my game regardless what I choose in the settings. Is it the original 2001 game or did you use some graphics enhancer or something?
The forest is impossible, I got all the objectives the treasures and the secrets. even got onto the truck. moved forward to proceed still the alarm went off.

I looked up the walk through for help finding the rifle I have found the spot and everything but the rifle was there even had the 30 cal ammo is the rifle in a different spot on the og xbox version or is my game glitched
Apparently at the guard post near the snooper rifle, the net sets the alarm off if you touch it.
Also how does this compare with Paderborn Village in your opinion. Feel free to answer this question when you do that level if you wish
Didn't know that about the net. I always wondered what the point of that thing was. I definitely think Paderborn is harder than this. I remember struggling with that level so much when I first played this game, whereas this level only took a few tries on my very first playthrough.
Funny I'm quite the reverse, I didn't have any issues with Paderborn Village, although I decided after the first failure that getting the secrets last was a prudent strategy.
On the forest level, getting past the opening part was a problem for me

Omfg!! Thank u! I thought I was going crazy. It was not anywhere near where this guy said it was. It was right at the beginning of the level like you said. I had to go all the way back to get it!

I remember doing this over and over .. absolutely a nightmare level for me ... The only way I could complete this level was to kill everyone with a knife ... Obviously I'm shit but it worked .. and I clocked it 😂😂😂

Maker, this is my most hated part of RTCW mission ever.
Is it impossible to complete the mission if i alert the guard im not supposed to kill? Ive deactivated all the alarms and ive done every objective but it still says that i haven't ensured that no alarms are sounded. I don't know what to do
Also aid guard won't move and the place he's in makes it impossible for me to get to the truck. Did i trigger something to get him to stop?

nevermind on the xbox version it is in a crate in the first 10 seconds of the mission i guess this must be the ps2 or the pc version but most likely pc

Im on my first playthrough and The games is really great but hate being forced to stealth in games that arebt realy stealth game overall so this lvl is just annoying as hell for me , played it at least 30 times and still cant get it , maybe Im just terrible i dunno :/
This game is actually a pretty heavy stealth game. You can stealth almost every mission.
I stopped playing this mode for a few months when I reached this mission back in the days when I was playing it for the first time...
