    So basically, each protagonist of each Elder Scroll game is similar to the Spirit of the Hero, from the Legend of Zelda.
    An entity that is not generally reincarnated as a blood descendant, but is born in response to a future calamity.
    If Akatosh is the God of Time, and has claim over the protagonist's soul.

    The main protagonists of the series being Shezarines was a theory that I believed in at one point, as all of the different characters varying between race, gender, playstyle and choices across different possible timelines - represented by the different playthroughs of every one who has ever played an Elder Scrolls game - would fit Lorkhan's chaotic and unpredictable nature. This seems to be supported, or at least referenced in-universe, as Cyrus, the protagonist of The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard is said to be an incarnation of the Hoon Ding, which, conceptually is the Redguard equivalent of a Shezarine, as their God manifesting in mortal form to save the world in times of need.
    However, this theory changed for me a few years ago with the Clockwork City DLC for the Elder Scrolls Online, where at the end of the main questline, Sotha Sil refers to the player as The Prisoner, who is apparently a being of great power. While there are some characters in the series that on some level become aware that they're just characters in a video game series, like Vivec, Sotha Sil and Sheogorath, and this awareness gives them knowledge and powers that even deities in the universe don't have, such as them having knowledge of future events, which out of universe have already happened but haven't happened in-universe yet, such as Sheogorath in ESO referencing reassembling the Staff of Chaos and the Numidium, and Vivec in his sermons alluding to save states, being killed in one playthrough but then the player starting a new save file. However, while this makes them powerful, they're still bound by the rules of just being NPC's in a game and can't actually affect anything that happens. The Prisoner, meanwhile isn't bound by these limitations and can do things that no other being in this universe can do, such as stop time to instantly rearrange your gear and loadout, consume 50 cheese wheels in an instant to heal completely, go back in time on a whim to redo events and undo defeats - which makes them literally unbeatable - making every other person in the world stronger or weaker - by changing the difficulty. Some versions of the Prisoner can even do things like outright erase a being's existence, teleport somewhere else, or spawn objects and living things out of pure nothingness: aka, PC players using console commands. The title of Prisoner is a reference to every protagonist starting off as a prisoner in the beginning of the game. Plus, of every single Elder Scrolls game, including Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire, Redguard, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, ESO, Legends, Blades, all of the phone games and more, ESO is the first game chronologically, making the Vestige the first incarnation of the Prisoner. In terms of power, the Prisoner, who reprsents the player, is second only to the Godhead, who represents Bethesda. While the players can make anything they want happen within their game file, Bethesda can make anything they want happen within the series as a whole.
    I know that this is getting really meta, but a lot of the Elder Scrolls lore is really meta.
    Listen to Sotha Sil's dialogue at the end of the Clockwork City DLC; it has a lot of meta commentary. He all but states that he doesn't really want to even be there talking to you, and the only reason he is is because he's scripted to appear at that stage of the questline. He's at the mercy of his programming and voice actor, and once the quests ends, since he doesn't have to be there anymore, he leaves. Notably, he's the only one of the Tribunal that you can't speak with at any time.

    • @Super50ldier
      @Super50ldier Рік тому +1

      The Shezarrine is a HUMAN not an elf or beastfolk because Lorkhan is the God of Humans. The Hero of Kvatch, the Last Dragonborn, the Eternal Champion and the Hero of Daggerfall are believed to be Shezarrines because they were human beings. Lorkhan is the Enemy of Elves. Pelinal Whitestrake, Wulfharth, Zurin Arctus and Tiber Septim were all Shezarrines because they were Humans and they protected and led the human species against the elven species.

  • @thecomedygamingnetwork261
    @thecomedygamingnetwork261 4 роки тому +81

    Yes I believe The Shezzarines existed. And that Lorkhan still has enough power to manifest in multiple people.
    I also am 99% certain the Nerevarine IS a shezzarine. And that Nerevar is a aspect of Shezar meaning the Neraverine DEFINITELY is a shezzarine. It was propheciezed he would return. What wasnt propheciezed is just how many times he would return.
    Moving on to the champion of Cyrodil, I believe Lorkhan never left him/her therefore Lorkhan and Sheogorath are now one being. Which would explain why Sheo in Skyrim was interested in repairing Pelagius's shattered psyche. It would also explain why Sheogorath in skyrim is much less "insane?" Because he is now 3 separate beings. Due to the curse of sheogorath, sheogorath HAS to exist. Therefore any who mantle him giggity HAVE to become sheogorath. There is no choice. You become Sheogorath you lose yourself.
    Now let's look at the parallels between Lorkhan and Jyggalag. Both of them were screwed by their respective sects, for evil or good or simply out of fear and anger. I dont know.
    Both were at one point so powerful, for different reasons, their respective groups Aedra and Daedra had to band together with their power to stop them.
    Now Jyggalag has left Sheo and Sheogorath is both CoC and Lorkhan. In other words, Lorkhan the trickster tricked Sheogorath!!!! How the fk does someone sheogorath??? Maybe he didnt. Sheogorath knew he didnt actually exist as his own being. He just wanted the Greymarch to stop. In other words, Sheogorath is the MANTLE OF MADNESS. Not the daedra of madness, he his the MANTLE. The TITLE.
    Going by this theory I think Lorkhan left TCOC just in time to avoid becoming madness itself but enough to to still have control over Tcoc. Therefore Lorkhan now has the full unbridled power of the mad god at his disposal, is DEFINITELY looking for his Heart, and if he finds it? Well, Lorkhan would be unstoppable. With the madness of sheogorath who is already a genius, the raw unbridled trickster incarnate that is Lorkhan, yeah it's safe to say that much power and deceit would be enough to bring the Aedra and Daedra together to stop him. But only after centuries of deceit.
    And that's how Elder Scrolls becomes Fallout

    @synthwendigo639 4 роки тому +20

    Perhaps it isn’t a case of being an Aspect at all, but perhaps a case where each time Nirn is faced with a crisis, Lorkhan empowers individuals he sees as being in the best chance to stop it. Not fully being mantled, so the heroes are very much mortal, and such when the Hero mantled Sheogorath, Lorkhan merely stepped aside as he knew his influence wouldn’t be required anymore.
    For the Nereverine, it could still be the case, but perhaps rather than he himself influencing matters, he channels Nerevar himself to do so. It can really become very muddled and conflicted very quickly here.
    Though the so called “Last Dragonborn” would perhaps be a more “pure” case if you will of Lorkhan/Shor being more fully involved and perhaps manifesting in the character themselves, which is why Shor’s Throne is literally vacant and you are told you just can’t see him. Clearly, you would see nothing there if you two were one. Add on to being able to actually sit upon his Throne yourself, which could be further proof you truly are Ysmir (A title primarily) or it could just be an oversight by the devs to not program something to not allow you to use said Throne.
    So Lorkhan could manifest in various degrees depending on how much power he has at the time, or simply by how much involved he is needed to be with whichever crisis going on at the time.

    When talking about why the Dragonborn may not be a Shezzarine, two key points were kind of discounted. Namely the fact that Shor disappeared when the Dragonborn entered Sovngarde, who is also able to sit on Shor’s throne, and that ghosts of people in Skyrim who have met previous Shezzarines actively mistake the Dragonborn for them and are convinced they are the same person. The justification I have for more than one of them existing at the same time is the Dragon Break of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, which also split Mannimarco into multiple beings. I'd say either divine or Akaviri magic at play there. Then the Dragonborn is captured crossing presumably the Cyrodil border. Perhaps the champion of Cyrodil and Sheogorath eventually became two separate beings. Much in the way Jyggalag and Sheogorath separated back in the day.

    Very nice speculative video. Nerevarine, Hero of Kvatch and The Last Dragonborn definitely have something in common - many people have played as all those 3 and are inspired by memories of those 3 heroes.
    On a more serious note, Nerevarine destroys the heart of Lorkhan. It's hard to believe that Lorkhan would inspire him to do so. Lorkhan's spirit wasn't bound by the heart in any way - the heart was rather an extremely powerful artifacts that Almsivi and Dagoth Ur could use how they pleased. As for the Dragonborn, I like the theory that all people with dragon blood were actually manifestation of Akatosh. He is the dragon god, so I believe that his magic powers those who can bear Amulet of Kings or learn the ways of Thuum. For Hero of Kvatch, Shezarrine is the most fitting. He was so powerful that it makes sense that some deity aided him in his adventures before he became Sheogorath. Those theories are fun, because we can never know an answer. This is why Morrowind was so brilliant with disappearance of the Dwemer and the death of Indoril Nerevar. We can never know how it happened, mystery truly fuels fantasy stories.

    Perhaps we're working towards some kind of Endgame event. Perhaps Magnus returns to wipe clean Mundus for the Magna-Gee. Perhaps Lorkhan will be reconstituted and we will have to gather these legends from across time to fight this multi-planar threat.
    Just imagine Magnus or Lorkhan materializing into the mortal plane and you get to see Shegorath face off against them only to be forcibly ripped apart to separate Sheo and Kvatch. Either Lorkhans Revenge story against the gods or Magnus removing the impetulant children that claim divinity.

However in the video of Harkon being an idiot which while really good I have one sort of nitpick as it were about the argument of how is plan is dumb, while blotting out the sun which would result in the deaths of all plants and by extension the animals and people therefore depriving the vampires of their sustenance and would result in their deaths is a valid point, it actually doesn't apply to Elder Scrolls vampires as vampires drinking blood in ES is more to subdue their powers to and make their appearance less bestial. Harkon himself even says he doesn't require blood to survive stating its for "lesser creatures", my proof of this is Serana and her mother who have both survived for thousands of years without mortal blood with his wife being in the soul cairn and his daughter being in a crypt. Other than that I agree with your assessment that his plan is really stupid 😆 Looking forward to watch more of your videos

    I'm not so sure whether a Dragonborn can be a Shezzarine. Tiber Septim manteling Lorkhan is another matter, as with the Hero of Kvatch manteling Sheo or Mannimarco trying to mantle Molag.
