@@skorpiogrl It looks like it was a good show. Rain or no rain... And I am sure you are pleased you finally got to see them live. When you have songs with lyrics "Walking in the Soft Rain". "In the Pouring Rain". "Come in, Come out of the Rain". "Rain Keeps Falling Down". And a classic album dedicated to it ."Sparkle in the Rain". Rain is going to happen. Whether you want it or not. Especially when you grow up in Scotland or the UK, or New Zealand. Rain LOVES this band so much... Which is why there seems a good chance it will rain when they play outside.
Her name is Cherisse Osei. She’s been with the band a few years now (2016?). Absolutely amazing, has incredible talent and energy, but her smile is the real killer.
I was there - we spent the whole day DROWNED, pissed, and happy. The organisers pulled the plug as an electrical storm threatened, about three songs shy of Simply Minds final track. Booooo.
Boa tarde , boa noite a todos minha Banda preferida 💕 saudades de todos vcs voltem para o Brasil por favor 😘 que Baterista Inda , encantadora parabéns 👏👏👏 Alem da beleza toca muito rssss bjs ❤

Yeah, that's so disappointing. Waterfront is my favourite Simple Minds track, I love watching videos of their live performances when the bass kicks off. Why use a tape for it now?
@@gin878 I had to go and check some videos of their concerts. Hard to tell for sure. I'm not a bass player, but I'd guess it's not the hardest bassline to do so I'm baffled as to why he wouldn't play it.
Fired again because Kerr can and does what he wants. Now we've got some failed grifter who was signed to polydor in an all girl band in 2007 - grinning like a Cheshire cat and wearing costumes whilst a fan is blowing her hair all over the place while she drums.
Totally agree the sad thing is Mick MacNeil has said he is open to collaborating with them again but Jim has not contacted him with any offers sad really sad.
Awesome - Jim’s voice so full of soul, passion & dramatic theatre still. Charlie’s guitar playing - so panoramic. The songs - timeless.
Saw them in melbourne today, incredible, and Jim kerr is such a cool dude
Great great band..no auto tune..a real voice, real sound,,and so on...80s...amazing
Voce e suoni unici a livello mondiale.
I've been a fan all ma life and a day
Great band!!!! Legendary!!!!!
His voice sounds great !
They sparkled in the rain.
Always liked them❤❤❤
Cannot wait to see them in Italy in Aprile and in June! Best live band ever!

SIMPLE MINDS,INXS, DEPECHE MODE MY FAVORITE BANDS FOR EVER
Incredibble all your time ❤🎉😢🎉🎉
Jedva ih čekam vidit uživo !
SM ❤ za uvijek.
Thanks so much for sharing my favorite band ❤
They sound brilliant
Almost too good? Jim's voice is unbelievable....
Nice to see Erik Ljunggren debut on keyboards.
Loved simple minds . Seen them around 15 times . But simple minds for me is Jim Kerr Charlie Burchill Mick MacNeill Derek Forbes and Mel Gaynor
Every time The Minds play outside, it seems to pour down. But they will always "Sparkle in the Rain".
The rain added to the mood, in a good way 💗

My goodness, it didn’t half rain in NZ!! It looked like a Scottish summer lol 😂☔️☔️😎
Love it awesome and you rock much love to you all
Great music n1
Gig at Paisley Abbey was AWESOME
It was vacuous missing MaNeils sublime synths and keyboards.
Love the New Drummer

Got this to look forward to in March in London o2...

Roll on the Glasgow Hydro 30th of March 🍀🍀
Love that "Solstice Kiss" 😘
Jim's pose at start of Waterfront, was expecting David Brent moves 😅
Can't wait for Birmingham gig
Bring on Manchester!!✊🇬🇧
Far out! 👍🇳🇿🎵
I LOVE YOU ❤❤❤❤
I very d'nt understand what are joy to make show in the light of the daytime...with the sage beam on.
....Jim had bring many grey hairs.......
Mest differentieret band ever, har fulgt udviklingen og ramt rigtigt hverd gang 🎉 for Mr Kerr and others - LIVE EVER MORE ❤
Jim was great band too
Who were the dropkicks yelling "all f**king day"?
Wasn't the band's decision to go offstage.
Appreciate the upload though.
They'd had a skinful. It wasn't directed at Jim 💗
Why the hell would you shout “All f***ing day” at Jim Kerr? It wasn’t his decision to stop the event.
They weren't directing the comments at Jim. It was frustration that we couldn't enjoy the end of the show 💗
Saw them 2 years ago and they were as brilliant as ever. But Jim looks as if he's aged so much in that time.
How good is the drummer
I have to asked what happened to the stage set? Did it blow down or is scaffolding the intended look?
1:52 "everything ok?" kerr asks .. he knows as well as the dogs on the street know that Kerr has sold his band down the cabaret route .. its like seeing Bucks Fizz
Weird
@@winstonsmith2079 agreed they look like a wedding band !
Thanks for the share, did you record the complete gig??
No… sorry… I wanted to actually jump up and down and sing along… I have posted the gig in Queenstown that has a bit more content….
@@01markymark01 Thanks
Has Mel Gaynor transitioned? Looks good if he/she/they have!
Where's Berenice Scott ?
Back with Heaven 17 LOL...she's a beautiful woman...i miss her too.

No comparison with Michael McNeill, but not lousy at all.@@MrChippiechappie

Sad
Can anyone say back tracking ........LOL . He wasn't even playing the bass when the bass line began .

always a backing track for waterfront when played live ...or at least for many years.

The keyboard player is playing the intro. Then Ged comes in straight after.
@@goldsaj Ok, so you can't even hear the bass then .
Burnt out

@@scottblack9213 Calm your tits. Cherisse Osei was epic.
Why is she leading them out ? anybody would think it was her fucking band.
Weird
Garbage old dinosaurs 🦖
Outdoor day gigs are crap.
Was epic actually!
Was epic actually!
The stage is crap it's like their playing behind and facing the wrong way..
Think this is the worst yet.
beyond sad that this sham of a band carries on can u imagine U2 with Bono and the edge !!! no Derek no Mick no Brian or Mel no simple minds !!
I get what you saying but same with Depeche mode just 2 left now and lots of bands from the 80s..
Agreed!
I didn’t think it could any worse. I was wrong.
To be fair simple minds were brilliant,1980,s
