    0:24 you neglected to mention the garbage trucks seen here are also run on this same methane, they are litterally getting the fuel for free (the natural gas fuel tanks are in that enclosure on the roof of all of these garbage truck.)

    This is cool and all, but are you saying that we pay to have them pick this up in our sorted cans, and then we pay AGAIN to have energy?

    See all that plastic mixed in the garbage? With a hydrothermal carbonization plant you can turn all of that into oil and industrial chemical precursors and that includes all the organic waste food wood paper anything made of carbon then you can choose to sell the products or sequester them or burn them to make electricity or fuel vehicles or make new plastic.
