Bears can use their strength VERY finely. A full grown grizzly can tilt a 4 ton rock to get a snack hidden under it. They can also pick a single raspberry without bruising it. A guide at the Grizzly Experience grizzly sanctuary I went to outside of Bozeman MT said that bears need to be taught what basically amounts to respect so they're gentle while playing. They need to be taught the for EACH INDIVIDUAL they interact with. If they try to play with someone they don't know they may hurt them without meaning to.

It's not about how careful you're trying to be. It's about how careful the bear is trying to be. We are physically fragile, feeble and pathetic compared to them and they know it.
Well that and how powerful and sharp their claws and teeth can be when doing things that even when their gentle can still lead to some small cuts and bruises. Literally the only reason why we're the "Top" of the Food Chain is our ability to make powerful tools, organize and work together to take down stronger animals. But jeez these Black Bears are absolutely adorable in this clips...honestly I want to cuddle with these guys but I'd probably get really messed up or mulled since they don't know me 😅
Bears, as wild animals, do not possess a human-like understanding of human fragility. They may not fully comprehend the vulnerability of humans, but they can perceive us as potential threats or sources of food. Bear behavior can vary based on various factors, including their species, age, and prior experiences with humans. However, it's essential to remember that bears are powerful and potentially dangerous animals, and encounters with them should be approached with caution and in accordance with established safety guidelines to minimize risks to both humans and bears.
