Man I've had some pretty bad Christmases for sure when I was a kid. Cuz the family really struggled. I remember one year though we got nothing under the Christmas tree. Cuz no one could help my family. My mom was visibly upset. She started crying. I of course looked at my mom and gave her a hug and told her the best thing I could ever have this year is you mom. She's still crying and things. I winded up hugging her and telling her it's still the best Christmas ever cuz I got my family.

@@barrinst.sauveur1186 thank you man. My mom was just really upset. Had to do what I had to do. But your thinkful man for everything you get. I now dress up as Santa. To spread happiness to children. Who knows maybe a family is struggling. Maybe that kid was bullied. And maybe me showing up made that child more happy. We try to get canned food donations to help people and families to who might be struggling. Cuz I know what it's like. Sadly though we haven't gotten no gigs. So looks like no donations this year. It's okay though long as I make people happy put a smile on a child's face. To me that's what matters the most.

I absolutely love this channel. The humor is relatable,and the animation is actually better than you think,Tyler. I find it amazing that Tyler actually shares stories and sometimes personal stories. Some people dont like anyone getting into their privacy,ESPECIALLY IF ITS EMBARRASING. Its amazing how Tyler doesnt care alot. Keep up the good work!

I'm 35 and my mom still gives the best Christmas gifts. The great thing about all of my family being adults is that we can return the favor, but my mom always knocks it out of the park for me. A few years ago I was showing her a super comfy plush blanket I got on the internet that I absolutely adored the texture of, but it was relatively small so if I moved at all in bed I'd be sticking out from under it so I had to buy a second one, turn them sideways and partially layer one over the other so I could properly spawl out like a Swastika, and top it with a big quilt as it was about as light as a top sheet on its own. My mom got me a big, thick comforter with a plush texture on one side that I use to this day except for the hottest summer days where my window AC just can't keep up. I also had a flannel robe that I had gotten almost 20 years ago that I loved, but the cloth was pretty restrictive so if you were lying down and tried to reach your arm up to your head level it would snag. Still wore despite the tears and holes it developed over ~20 years of heavy use until it was too far gone. I asked my mom for a new robe for Christmas last year. She gets me one with a similar look, only this one is all fluffy with that plush texture I love so much, pockets, and a much better design allowing me to wear it while lying down and move my arms however I like without it snagging and painfully constricting my arms limiting my range of motion. I use both on a daily basis and they're awesome!
When I was a kid Christmas was the big day where we would get a new video game, and having 2 brothers at the time usually meant 3 whole new video games between us unless we got a new console. As I got older I was able to just buy the video games I wanted, and even got to repay the favor in a way when I got my family a Switch and am SNES Classic for my mom which I made sure to put some of her favorites that were missing from the base console on. There's also that Christmas classic hated by kids and appreciated by adults: socks. I tried so many different types before I settled on a brand that are thick and comfy for long work days, insulated to help in the winter but still comfy in hot, humid Georgia summers, durable, and work well even with steel toes, and made sure everyone has as many as they need. Only socks I wear anymore. It's not all responsible adult stuff with the occasional video games though. We'll all get some old school toys, and for an afternoon it'll just a bunch of middle aged to elderly people shooting each other with foam projectiles from plastic guns and silly string, which just shows to go no matter how old and jaded we may get, being able to set the soul crushing worries of life aside for a day and having some spontaneous fun with my family is still fun.
Seriously though, my blanket and robe make me so happy and really help take the edge off of all of the time I spend bedridden with health problems. Simple comfort is one of my favorite things in the whole world and I have no idea how my mom finds this stuff while whatever I find always has some drawback.

I remember sometime in the mid 90's I got a gift from my grandmother and she said before I opened it "I got you this because you love playing games on that computer" - which was my parent's computer, The box was roughly the size of a laptop and quite heavy so naturally I assumed it was going to be a laptop(a fairly new thing at the time).
It was a glass chess set.
As a 10 year old who thought I was about to get a gift that was going to change my life, it was hard to hide my disappointment.
I still have the chess board though.
