Automatic buttonholes don’t work on my 720. Doing buttonhole 51, using foot 3a, programmed length by measuring button. Display shows desired length auto, but when I sew buttonhole it just keeps sewing the first leg. Will only sew the first leg & doesn’t stop at desired length. In the manual it says when I get to the desired length press quick reverse to program it, then press foot control the machine finishes the buttonhole automatically, all subsequent buttonholes will be sewn the same length. Tried doing this but after pressing the quick reverse to my machine just continues to sew the first leg longer. The only way I can do buttonholes is manually. Could it be my sensor? Came here to see if I’m doing something wrong but can’t see anything you are doing differently. I’ve got to add buttonholes to the collars of 50 shirts (converting them to button down) would be so much easier if they’d sew automatically like you did for the first buttonhole.
