MIKE,YOUR AWESOME. BECAUSE U TOTALLY ADOPTING THE LIFE STYLE OF PILIPINO PEOPLE. I STILL HAVE FOUR YEARS TO GO BEFORE MY MONTH VACATION. I CAN'T WAIT TO VISIT THIS PLACES AGAIN. KEEP POSTING YOUR VIDEOS. THANKS AGAIN.
***** THAT'S TRUE WHEN IT COMES TO FOODS BEFORE IT WAS NOT EASY TO FINE A GOOD PLACE TO EAT. BUT NOW SOME AMERICAN PAST FOOD IS IN TOWN.I TOTALLY AGREED WITH U PEOPLE THERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS SMILED BACK AT U. I HOPE SO TOO.
***** Salamat sa bideo. I can relate to the problem with foods. First visit in the Philippines December 2005 was not entirely pleasant food-wise, but it got better with later visits (more options explored). Hamburgers in the Philippines for example taste much better than here in Sweden. Still not a fan of all traditional filipino food or seafood though :-). But it's a beautiful country with very friendly people.
It's really heartwarming that many foreigners still appreciate Philippines, most especially our town Miagao.. Proud to be a Miagaowanon.. nice video sir
Thank you so much Sir for sharing this videos and im very happy that you like to visit my place in Iloilo...God bless you always Sir on your journey...

Mabuhay Miagao Mabuhay Philippines. Love it💖💖💖
I miss my lovely town Miagao. I am not sure if you knew about the new location for the fresh fish market. The fish vendors just moved in to this new place which is so close to the main market. I know this because our house is just opposite this fish market. And thanks for sharing this video.
***** Definitely this Market is not the same as the Central Market because it is not only new, the place is large as well. And the unique part of it is, it is surrounded by probably around 70-100 years old large acacia trees. These trees are already there years before I was born. Thank you for a nice comment and keep up the good work.
Wow, thank you sir,, its the place where i live, and i miss it,since im working abroad long time didnt came back, ,, thanks for appreciating our place,, Godbless you more,, and keep sharing good videos,, :) Salamat,
WOW! My family is from Miagao, I miss this place. We bought property in Mat-y so we will go back and retire there someday. Thank you for the video. I definitely will go back to my home town someday.
Here in America my Husband and I are considered poor......we make about $40,00 a year. We also wear T-shirts, shorts, jeans and I wear skirts too. I bet we would be considered rich in the Philippines!
small fish , those are called anchovies in english, the first you are pointing are mackerel fish not milk fish, milk fish are bangus in our language..those green leaves u picked are called "buyo" if chewed they tastes like minty thing, the last time i saw that leaf chewed by my grand father i think is when i was 7-10 years old way back in 1977 ... i was born on 1970 though ... LOL , been a long time. i can still remember the things we had before from my village.
It IS unusually orderly for a market!! No packets of stuff hanging on strings across the aisles (at just 5'9" I always have to duck and weave my way through it seems) and plenty of space to walk mostly.
The charcoal is the Filipino's natural gas equivalent but in it's solid form it's their form of clean burning energy very little smoke that it emits while in the burning process extracting heat for cooking purpose.
big fella too lol! darn rats are sooo sneaky.. when ever there is food rats will try to get their share.. heck I have to fight them from stealing my dog feed in my own backyard everyday lol
That market looks awesome by the way! sooo much stuff and the people were sooo accepting and friendly (very nice people,in the states people would curse or be rude)
Thank you for sharing your video. It's been a long time I haven't been to Miagao market ('79-'80). But my last visit was 1986 when my sister got married. I missed my town. Again, thank you for sharing.
they're friendly to foreigners, but they're not friendly to fellow filipinos whom they don't know..haha.. you can't really say good morning to a fellow filipino that you don't know but it's okay to a foreigner or white person to say good morning to anyone whom he or she doesn't know... haha

I agree , because am sure that's the attitude sorry to say that, Filipinos are more showing their respect if they are foreigners. I don't understand.
What do you do for money there. Where in Texas are you from. Was your ex wife from the Philippines.
We live in Silsbee, Texas 2 hours east of there.
