    Not every two intervals in R are homeomorphic. Homeomorphism is within the categories of closed, open, left closed and right closed intervals. Any uncountable set is NOT homeomorphic to the set of natural numbers N. Q, with induced topology from R or with metric topology is not homeomorphic to N.

      Even non-empty intervals are not homeomorphic. A closed interval is not homeomorphic to an open interval, not even to semi-closed interval.

      The question given in the link itself is wrong. A closed interval is not homeomorphic to R. Finite closed interval is compact, but R is not compact.
