If you followed indie rock from the late 90’s into the early aughts, in my opinion this band encapsulated what it was we, as musicians and audiences of the genre, were hoping would come to fruition. I’m glad that I got to see them play out a couple of times at The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, The Silverlake Lounge, and at Sunset Junction. I also liked how they lacked the stuffy pretension that most underground bands at that time suffered from. Great band.
Indie bands from my high school days on Conan? Shout out to the other dude on here! I saw them open for Blonde Redhead at the glasshouse in Pomona in like 2002 or something. Fun fact: Geovanni Ribisi was there in the crowd. :)
@@TheMusicalElitist They aren’t even remotely a favorite band of mine, but to say they aren’t note worthy is clearly false. My frequent and favorite bands lean towards Failure or The Mars Volta tbh. Doesn’t matter anyways, I don’t think there’s a need to care when listening to someone that labels themselves “elitist.” Whether ironically or not, it demonstrates itself a lack of taste and innate bias.
No comments? Awesome band, I saw them in front of like 20 people in a small venue un Mexico City. Great gig.
Conan was so real for this omg
criminally underrated

Great band.
Thanks for archiving this! Great performance, great band.
Greg Edward's guitar work starting at 1:20 is killer!
Wow! This sounds fantastic!!! I like this better than the album, very cool
Chanter et battre en même temps c'est certainement la plus difficile des performances. Bravo. Brillant.

Coolest guy on youtube
He was at their show in SF as well. I was fortunate enough to get interview access with Greg, who just mentioned him as a “friend of the band.”
Carla is a legend
FRANK brought me here. Karla Azar's a heck of a drummer. Didn't know she was doing vocals, too. Wonder how long that's been a thing.
she did vocals on future perfect through pussys dead. they all rotate on vocals.
Conan really did have some of the best musical guest. His first one was Radiohead haha.
Radiohead are rubbish
