Oh hello sweet baby! ❤ I can tell that she isn't the biggest fan of the human preens, but I bet it feels pretty darned good to have all of those pins gone!
@@itsplovertime thank you! She is. It took her about 2 months to sit on my finger (she hasn't been handled her whole life). But she'll rest in my hand now :) Thank you so much for being here!!! 💝
@@blaberid thank you very much! I don't really understand it myself, but maybe they can sense that I'm comfortable with what I'm doing, so they're comfortable? I'm guessing body language plays a huge part in it!
Question: do you ever brush or pet them just to try and get all the dust off them?? I feel like thats fighting a loosing battle considering how naturally dust they are but when i see videos i want to try and get all that dust orf them 😂
@@MS-tf8vh ohhhh man I looove the dust, esp when they shake it all themselves. But other than a gentle blow, there's not much I can do! As they're smaller parrots they are a bit more jumper :). But they do do a quick shake and it's all gone (and on my TV or wherever I am😂)
@@nt75 hello! I'm helping my bird get rid of the casings off her new feathers :) feathers grow inside a shell of hard keratin - like skin. When the feather is done growing, I just take it off for them.
I had to stop watching the video because she just let the empty bit fall right next to her eye twice, and made no gesture to remove it. even after it fell right into her eye! will be re-thinking about viewing this channel again, that was so uncomfortable to watch.
@@jewlesw.2437 she does! I only noticed the one sheath, unfortunately! She's "new" in the sense that she's new in my home, but she's been in a home before that!
@@TypeHoeNegative I'm so sorry that made you uncomfortable! I actually blew on the sheath to remove it as any other way may be damaging to her retinas, but it didn't work. I'll def keep a keener eye out for falling sheaths.
Thank u for sharing Juanita with us she is so lovely
Thank you for giving these birds a safe home.
@@falsebaroness thank you very much!! 🥰 I'm maxed out with birds now, hehe.
Little prickly friend. Hope she will have a great time at your place. She deserves a good forever home
@@PlutoDarknight I hope so too! She's finally eating her veggies and fruit, but she def has a few grams to lose!

I don't know what kind of magic it is you're working to get so many budgies to let you preen them, but I respect the craft. Juanita is lovely!

Pretty birb :)
Thank you :)
Would L-shaped tweezers be better?
@@林天逸 oohhh!! That may be good! I do have them but the birds don't particularly like them xD maybe I should try harder :D

@@nt75 I don't mind at all! She's a budgie, also known as a parakeet. They're native to Australia, but very popular in North America and Europe.
