Jim Toiley No, at 11.3m the SPD was replaced by the 11.3m Enviro200. The Enviro300 was made in 11.8m and 12.5m lengths, and has itself now been replaced by the 11.8m Enviro200 MMC.
The295 2A Actually, the 11.3m E200 is the updated SPD. The E300 was made in 11.8m and 12.5m lengths, and has now been replaced by the 11.8m Enviro200 MMC. Engines and gearboxes vary depending on model / specification / age / length etc, might go into detail on them if you're interested :-P
this bus is the euro 3 SPD it has an isb5.9 (5.9 liters that is) and the same 3 speed voith gearbox as the euro 2 variant of the spd with the 6BT (also 5.9 liters), the transbus enviro 300 was the replacement for the SPD with the same euro 3 engine but a 4 speed voith gearbox which moves along much quicker... the ADL (alexande dennis) enviro 300 which has a front face lift but kept the same rear appearance but also gets a larger ISB6.7 with the same horsepower output to take it upto euro 4 standards and yes it uses the same 4 speed diwa gearbox in the transbus enviro 300. you will find that any enviro made for stagecoach after 2009 is slow due to stagecoach being "eco friendly" but really it puts more stress on the gearbox and engine which wasn't stagecoaches intentions and one way to identify an enviro suffering from stress is a high pitched whistle/screach/scream when the bus is accelerating and thats because the turbo is leaking due to the stress produced the restrictions.
Same I agree too I mean I went to London years back and I rode a dart and it stalled at nearly every bus stop I mean the starters are shocking on the London ones their knackered as heck..
Abdula Jallohy I mean these same types of buses were on the 227 up until 2012, but those were Euro 2 and they were far better and reliable than the ugly streetlites it uses now.
I love whiny loud old sounding voith, its so satisfying.
this it sonds with a Cummins ISC Voith DWAI
The driver is doing a great job at making this super pointer scream
Love these.. We have a couple ex lothian super pointer darts operating in Ipswich
very comforting sound
Had this pass me near Seven Sisters (Eastbourne) today. Going flat out and sounding good as it passed!
These buses are the best sounding single deckers
Beautiful bus!
How have I not heard of the Super Pointer? It’s basically an old E300
I remember these buses when they were in Edinburgh. The engine noises from these buses is 100% Filth and they were flying machines!
Didn't these were used in Europe as well. The Voith scream is infamous here in Seattle, WA (and nearby Vancouver, BC).
Have some of these in Lanarkshire with JMB Travel
Were these fitted with the same Voith 3 speed gearbox that the Volvo Olympians were fitted with?
Yes, this thing sounds exactly like an Olympian
Sounds great unlike the Enviro 200 shite that Stagcoach has, The Voith gearboxes on these sound a lot better.
Come to Leamington Spa, one of our E200 3 speed voiths literally scream at high revs.
I believe the fleet number is 37060 or 37061
Nice
These now live at Ipswich Buses and have leather seats
IB Videos I wish this loud one was!
It's also an Ex Stagecoach bus
Nope. Never at stagecoach
@@wharris302It is an Ex Stagecoach Bus.
@brandon322 It's not, what makes you think it is?
@@wharris302I swear I’ve seen this bus at Stagecoach Bus London. The Number plate looks very familiar.
good old buses
dennis darts not as popular these days being replaced by envrio 200s and 300s
It sounds like transbus enviro 300
Virtually the same, just body changes really.

This sounds more like an Enviro300.
They're similar, in ways the E300 is just the updated SPD. same gearbox and engine near enough

R291HCD a lot of your information is incorrect; i will go into detail when I'm less tired
Euro 3
Sounds like a pagani Zonda lol
This should have be good for London instead of those rubbish darts
Abdulai Jalloh 100% agree
Same I agree too I mean I went to London years back and I rode a dart and it stalled at nearly every bus stop I mean the starters are shocking on the London ones their knackered as heck..
InterCity 125 it’s the Euro 3 Dennis Darts that I hate. They always refuse to start. The Euro 2 ones were much better.
