I feel like if people hate on LZ at this point, it’s out of jealousy and they probably won’t listen to logic. Is he rich and “famous”?, yes. But he’s also a hard working dude that does a lot for the car community and has earned a seat in FD. His whole drifting career has been documented and he took the right steps to get where he is.

I could not agree more. I doubt we'll see them get married anytime soon, but that actually seems like the smart thing. What they have is perfect for them until they decide otherwise.

All of Long Beach was some of the most inconsistent judging. Adam was just one of the victims
True,but it was a fun event for sure minus the bad judging,aasbos qualy was not at all a 97,hell no if jtp's run was a 97 aasbos run was a 90

You don’t need to be a fan to appreciate someone’s effort. I mean, he is competing againt people with over a decade of experience, with his 5 years of drifting experience and 3 years of FD.

@@DarkSwordsman Yeah not sure why people get hung up on the details that don't matter, but I wish everyone in FD the best cause good competition means a good show for the fans. Maybe now that VG Jr is retiring that will open the door for someone like LZ to drift his way into the big stage and make a name for himself and possibly be an underdog champion. That'd be awesome to watch.

showed nice once again, that Odi incompleted not only his chase, but most importants Adams LEAD. After hit Adam is driving thru the finish line straight even without rear wheel spinning. It would be such a 0 during qualifying....I know, that Odi was robbed a bit in Erie, but damn - giving it back in such way...
i am getting the feeling that FD can learn a lot from Russian Drift Series. the courses the judging.. damn that is some sweet battles there.

This was such a bogus call, and even though I think their reasoning was flawed they did a awful job of explaining what they actually called and considered during the broadcast.

The call wasn’t bogus and they did explain it if you actually know what the rules say.
Also after the fact Ryan Lanteigne went into pretty great detail to explain the calls they made.
The rules say that 3 off is an incomplete. You can see LZ’s tire marks are the furthest inside on that clip. He was at least 3, 4 is questionable.
With two incomplete chase runs, they go to lead vs lead IF THEY CAN. This isn’t qualifying so it isn’t a “scored” run. Which means it’s not 0 vs what ever odi had in his lead. Instead, the judges looked at it and agreed that there was enough of a lead to clearly say Odi won.
Adam even acknowledged this and said Odi out drive him. Adam’s protest was that he was not three off, the judges disagreed
@@chefbappa7515 even in this video you can hear Ryan L. in the drivers meeting saying that you couldn’t really go off except maybe if you went really deep b/w o.z. 1 + 2. No one ever said that going inside the IC was off track before that, at least not on the live stream. So as a fan watching on the live stream it seemed like it was just something made up after the fact to justify the call.
So this is fd trying to make up for the bad judging.

Do all pro drift cars have 1 spoke a different color to help the judges see when they accelerate or decelerate on playbacks?
It’s to know when they handbrake it!it’s kinda frowned upon to use handbrake other than to initiate the drift
Yes, also to tell when the driver is pulling the e brake.. I think it’s either one spoke is a different color or they can have white lettering on the sidewall of the tires.
its mainly for handbrake but yes, on other hand its hard to even tell if thats still a rule considering not everyone has a marked spoke
@@mercereman6280 it can be a marked spoke or white lettering on the sidewall. Just a visual aid to be able to tell when the hand brake is being used
