Excellent Alpina, without a collective farm, it is clear that the owner takes good care of her. It's nice that there are such people, I wish him patience, health and more money. ❤

Nice car.❤ I have a e28 535i and have a new build B9 Alpina engine to go in. The engine in the video is already upgraded. It has a later M30 intake manifold. Good choice. 👌

True. Value of the E28 doubled in six years, at least in Europe.

How did it pass safety back then with those bumpers ? Makes no sense.

      It's an Euro car?

@@kringlefanten Thats why it couldnt pass safety man ! It would be seized and crushed !! The bumpers dont meet safety.. thats why the US E28s has the longer extended bumpers !

@@oldskool1979 It wasn't so much about safety as it was about the insurance industry lobbying for bumpers that would withstand a 5 mph impact. The North American bumpers don't necessarily protect the occupants any better, but they do prevent costly damage to the car in some common types of very low speed accidents. Many euro cars like this were imported into the US with these bumpers. They weren't seized and crushed, they were federalized in several ways to pass inspections. I've seen some that had heavy iron bars welded into them to make them more rigid than the original design.

@@oldskool1979 The 25 yr rule throws all that out of the window. We are now up to cars made in 96 and prior. The B9 was made from 83-85
