I just got my 2025 Nomad built and ridden last weekend, It's about 1.5pds heavier than my 2016 Nomad was with the same parts, but it is def more stable in the chunk, and loves the corners even more... it might just be the settings but it seems to make my DVO Onyx 36 feel small, hopefully I can get it dialed and can keep the Blue DVO, as I've been thinking of getting the same blue for the Santacruz decals, with the blue Hope hubs it would look slick with the Teal frame
Yeti's ride amazing, but the switch-infinity links do not last and are NOT suitable for Scottish conditions...even if you grease them they end up fucked. Ropey warranty support doesn't match the premium price either. Ill pass.
I had one replaced under warranty with no issues, the second one was still going strong over three years later when the bike was stolen. You just need to grease them up which takes no time at all. Best suspension platform I've tried, Meta V5 is close.
Maintaining a certain effort for the whole duration without fading/slowing down. Just some hard work for me to get more in shape. Nothing too methodical
@@LewisBuchanan hell yea, good to hear that! Only tried an sb150 and it felt more race mode than any bike Ive tried, so my next bike is probably the sb160 considering it will feel similar
@@DandyHippoI'm on my first ever yeti sb160 it's a really good bike you won't be disappointed also the SI link is really easy to service. I'm not the best mechanic but 15 minutes and all done. They do ride amazing in all scenarios.
@DandyHippo both good bikes but I'm biased on this one lol. Yeti is out and out race bike and goes better the harder you push it. I agree with what Lewis said it's a bike that you get on and feel.at home straight away in that attack position. Also the yeti likes to be ridden slightly front heavy which for me took a bit of getting used too but now feels right. The results this year tell you how good a bike yetis are,!
What are your thoughts on the Switch Infinity link? It stopped me from buying a Yeti because replacement is so expensive. Im not quite convinced it will survive a tough muddy off season.
Iv owned a yeti for years and the switch holds up fine if you grease it. Even if you don’t you get a lifetime warranty replacement on the switch. Honestly they are unbelievable bike
@@scotty-sb1403 totally agree I'm on the sb160 and SI unit faultless and service is easy to clean and grease etc. for me it's the best bike I've owned! Rides amazing, climbing and descending
Yes, training: do it🎉 Also, consider investing in a couple of formal coaching days from suitable coaches (eg at Dyfi), separated by that ‘training’. Who am I to say such an outrageous thing? Well, nobody, it is outrageous 😂😂😂 But Loic has riding coaching… I’ll stop. Loved the vid 🎉
Thankyou robert 🙌🤣

Switch infinity is a solution to a non existant problem that creates a problem that very much exists.
Interesting

@ Thanks! How many reps of 8 mins do you usually do? Nice content btw
whats the reason you haven't been feelin yetis before? Is the sb160 worse to you than this, I've heard mixed reviews
I just haven’t been a fan tbh, but mostly just cause of the infinity link, looks like a lot of bother! But my minds changed now haha!

@@scottmtb122 ty for the info, im now demoing a pivot firebird and its amazing overall but like the ultra race feeling of a yeti!
