Thank you for finally covering this special! It was my personal favorite growing up, as the way I used to watch it was unique to other BtB content I watched as a kid. Unlike our other Btb tapes which were official, my parents recorded this off of broadcast TV. At the time, the show aired on Nickelodeon in the US, and that meant a bunch of ad breaks got onto the tape. Usually ads are annoying, but it is interesting to look in retrospect to see what the rest of the world was like when that special aired. I also found it very fascinating that there were non-sentient vehicles in this special. Makes you wonder what the machines think about that. Happy holidays, and thank you for using this tape to send off you Bob the Builder VHS reviews!
Banger was voiced by Noddy Holder the Lead singer of Slade who are best known for the song Merry Christmas everbody in which towards the end of the song Holder screams it's Christmas! when the first snow falls
@ Yeah that could be why his voice possibly sounded familiar. I felt the same when I watched the special for the first time. Funnily enough, Derek Griffiths (who voiced Walter and Mr. Jones in Little Red Tractor), also worked with Richard Briers (voice of Bob’s dad) in Watership Down.
I used to have the A Christmas to Remember VHS. However, the one I got featured the episode Bob's White Christmas as a bonus. Now I have the DVD version which features both of them as well as Snowman Scoop. I'm surprised that the one you have features the songs Can We Fix It and Mambo 5 (Then the DVD version also features them), though perhaps it's as well really since you already did cover Bob's White Christmas before!😅 Banger is a really underrated character who I wish had gotten more appearances after this. He's like Warrior from TUGS and Ned the Steam Shovel from Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, a character who means well but isn’t the.....sharpest knife in the draw and is rather clumsy (But that's why I love him)!
R u scared of the old Hit Entertainment logo (I'm scared of the thank you bumper and that appears at the end of my copy of a Xmas to remember released in 2011)
@@trainlover16 I find the voice eerie (I've heard it sounds like Keith Wickham but I'm too scared to listen) and I think it's a weird atmosphere and my copy of A Christmas To Remember is acc where I discovered my fear of the bumper and if I do a reaction of the DVD I'll press main menu durin the credits

@@reubendensmore4648 You’re most welcome mate. Delighted I was able to tap into your nostalgia.
My favourite Christmas special!
What i love about this film is how mature it is with it showing the struggles of being in a distanced relationship with a sibling who works away
@@williampulfer-melville8536 I completely agree.
Tommy and Perfect Peter: Achoo!

28:10 indeed since he knew that baby reindeer probably wouldn't survive without her father but also meaning her father could be in trouble
I love how the credits show the aftermath of the movie
Same.
31:16 indeed an angel Christmas tree topper to be exact
36:45 by the way i love how the design of Tom's cabin is in a similar layout to Bob's house in Bobsville
@@williampulfer-melville8536 Same.
One thing I find interesting is that Tom is voiced by Stephen Tompkinson, the same person who voiced Stan in Little Red Tractor.

I noticed in Ready Steady Build Spud dosn't get into as much trouble as he did in the stop motion series almost as he is now good at being helpful now

And of course Tom's Snowmobile Scoot as she was always intended to be a one off character so her model would be made into Zoomer in Snowed Under
