I would like to take a moment to say that I personally appreciate all the work that went into this video for us. Color mixing for one painting is enough, but essentially you painted four, doing your best to colour match for each and knowing that each normal painting takes you a few days, all sessions I bet were not on the same day, then ALSO taking the time to briefly explain the colour wheel with tone and value. I am grateful to see the difference between the types of gouache as well. Himi, or so I read somewhere, is MADE by Mia, but there is clearly still a difference in colour vibrancy and consistency which I did not know. It was also nice to directly compare the Mellow Days with the blue issue you've mentioned in the past. So, in short, thank you.
I didn't realise there was a difference between the smaller and bigger himi jelly gouache, I thought Holbein would be the obvious best contender here but the other gouache actually held up really well and the entire piece looks fantastic 😊
This is a job very well done. I couldn't tell at the beginning of the video that this painting is done in 4 different sections and 4 different paints. I'm beyond impressed by your talent and feeling really inspired to get back into painting myself . Thank you for the hardwork that you've done for us here ❤️
Actually Himi is also a Miya😁 Miya is a Chinese brand and has a series of products including paints and brushes and so on. Himi jelly gouache is just one of them.
absolutely incredible video. it's always a pleasure to watch you paint and see the results, and seeing more into your process is fascinating. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art x
Thank you SO much for this. It was very informative and I enjoyed watching from start to finish. I now have more of an idea how to mix colors accurately to tone, and how much water I should use for consistency. Very helpful and beautiful painting as always! 🌳🚞💙
I would like to take this as an opportunity to express how i totally appreciate this video . Sakura journal sketchbook is the only sketchbook that i can afford with my miya set of gouache at the moment . And it is good to see how the paper behave with other brands too . Thank you so much .
Yes! Thank you so much for this video! My Himi set will be here today, and I can't wait to try it out with some techniques you showed me. Thank you for being amazing
@@tugcedumlupinar I was wondering, would you please consider making a tutorial on how you mix the paint and do the greens for your plants?? That would be so incredible!
Loved it 🖤✨.... I believe that I loved the " Miya "part the most... ,but you did a great job in the whole painting 🌼.. thanks for such an enjoyable yet very helpful video 🌸...please keep up the great work 🔥
Beautiful illustration and the detail of the materials you use is appreciated.... But I can't get over ASMR, instead of relaxing, it makes me restless...😂😂😂😂
Thank u so much for this and well done...a beautiful piece....Holbein is my favorite so far but my 1st set was Daler and Rowney....10 pounds for 18 student colours and i still love it. love Alli XXX
Himi and Miya are the same thing. Miya is the brand and Himi is one of Miya's products name. You might have missed it but the name 'Himi' is on each of the tub's cover of the white 56 colour Miya gouache set.
Hello! Thanks for this video. It's really interesting. And beautiful. Happy to see again the Miya set. :) How many beautiful shades... Even if I got the Mellow because of you and had the Holbein.
Hi mam, your painting is so awesome, I do love painting but I wanna ask you that all your paintings do you draw by your own imagination or by seeing the images somewhere else? Plzz reply me mam, thank you.
If you want to make more vibrant painting, you should almost never use white or black as is in your paintings! Just think about winter snow. The shadow cast on them is not grey. it depends of the environement you are trying to depict. Most of the time, if you use white or black (depending of the pigments) to make your colors brighter or darker, you might make them more muddy looking. Like for a true blue sky, you will never acheive the real blue sky by mixing Cyan and white color even if it's a primary color. Sky needs phtalo blue if you want to test it i'd suggest try it on a loose sheet, you'll see that often the paint that is provided in a set (if there is no phtalo blue) will have another undertone and it's normal. These paints are not made with single pigments but multiple (look on windsor paints or daniel smith to understand with which pigments these paints are maid because they might not interact the way you expect them to).
The information I provided is not meant to create a brighter painting. I remember talking about how light and shadow affect color. Black and white are related to light and shadow. We use primary colors to change the color of an object. I said that we need to use black and white to show the shadow and light reflected on the color. If you create a painting without using black and white, it will not be realistic.
Amazing works and big appreciation for comparing different brands. I have some questions. (I have himi ) 1. It is not easy for me because I feel difficulty to add water in terms of consistency. In my painting, some parts are like watercolor and others are too thick. When I add color on top (thick layer) still the background color comes up. Can you give me solutions? 2. When I add water, overall consistency get weird and I feel very confusing. Can you explain how to control water? Thank you in advance and look forward to hearing your advice 🙏
Hello, tugce dumlupinar,I am a fan of yours, I have watched so many videos, in fact, I have always had a question, I want to ask you are using opaque watercolor or transparent watercolor? That's silly, right? Hope you can answer me.that your paintings have always encouraged me, thank you! Will support you!
Artist gouache is an opaque watercolor. It dries matte, and the color will tend to shift slightly during the drying process. Most importantly, it reactivates when it comes into contact with water. So you want to keep that in mind when layering. Acrylic gouache is basically matte acrylic paint. Like normal acrylic paint, it will not reactivate once dried, so if you like on canvas mixing, keep that in mind. I do not know if the color shifts as it dries, but given that it's an acrylic paint, I'm assuming it doesn't.
I tried the link for the green handled water color brushes but my anti-virus warned of dangerous site. What is the brand name? Can they be found on Amazon?
Dear, which colors of these guaches are: primary yellow, magenta, cyan? I need to buy these singular colors, but on Ali...s are only Chinese names :-( Help me, please!

I loved this video so much. Question: is that Sakura art journal for watercolour? I can't find one online, just sketchbooks
Thank you a lot. This was very informative 🙏
incredibly beautiful❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It’s convenient to use a palette knife to transfer paint onto the palette

Bery beautiful: muy bonito. I would like to be in this place: me gustaría estar en ese lugar.

Love your videos ! Where did you buy the palette and brush holder?
Hola, te pregunto, el goach, pinta bien sobre papel negro? Me gusta la mùsica que pones al pintar..Gracias!
I love it 😍
Hi, Tugce! Can you let us know where you got that cool mixing palette? Thanks!
It's probably a self-made clay mixing palette
Can you please tell me that for beginners which paper is best to use for gouache and paper gsm count too...??
For a beginner, I'd recommend a good watercolor paper. You can use either hot press or cold press.
Talent
isn't miya the brand of the himi paint?
❤

Things video is amazing
