Guache is actually really popular in Europe (at least in my country). I think it's even easier to get it here than acrylics. In the first years of art school we are usually recommended to use guache before moving on to more advanced paints like oils or acrylics. Interesting how different it is all around the world!
My 3 year old 24 color pallet is still fun to play. However, I’ve moved into Holbein for my more focused pieces. Good introduction set to the medium. I don’t think I have the patience to maintain a pallet larger than 24 regardless of the medium. 🙃😉
With watercolor I’m a huge fan of a very limited palette. I used to maintain a 4 color set I used until gone. But gouache for some reason I want all the colors. 🤷♀️
Watercolour is the best paint ( guoache is still cool though, I just find it easier to work with watercolours) imo. But guoache is cool because of the vibrancy mixed with the texture is so cool, they need to make a pan of it but like a pan of watercolour and it's so pigmented that you can put a tiny bit of water on it and it's pretty much acrylic, then the more you put on the more it's like watercolour in a pan Only in Japan could they do that They be living in future lol THE EMOJI RECOMMENDATION I GOT FOR FUTURE WAS CRYING SAME BRO 🤧🤧🤧 👁️👄👁️ Thank you for looking at the emoji face

Poster colours don't really have much in the way of consistency, it's quite thin and will become a little see-through if you put it on thin. Meanwhile gouache is thick and extremely opaque, so I'm not sure I understand the comparison?

Gouache definitely has a learning curve !! But it’s an amazing medium, even if you don’t use it all for one painting, as a watercolor artist you can use it to salvage a painting that’s going south! Lol not traditional for watercolorist but DUDE. It comes clutch lol
I'm so interested in trying gouache, I think it's probably just about the only drawing/painting material that I haven't tried. I started art school foundations right after they switch 2D from gouache to acrylic so I just never bothered dabbling with it.

You could just open empty boxes and I’d still watch your videos, Rae 🤗🤗🤗🤗 You’re such a sweetheart 🤘🙂🤘
Now for storage, put the palette on, and then store in a big snap lock bag, then snap the to lid on, they’ll stay fresh and juicy... mine are still good after 14+ months and no mould! I’ve never watered them down either 🤗🤗🤗

Have you been to $5 Below recently? They have some decent art supplies that I would love to see you review 👌

Awwwwww I was hoping to see more painting with in the video :( but I do love that you educate/ explain the products you use.
I hate that this is paint and not food. It *looks* like I should be able to eat it.
These colors look so vibrant.. love Gouache btw.. nice vid! Have a supercool vacation!
first
thanks for the video! really wanted to research about these for a while. have a good vacation!
I am so glad that I’m not the only one that looks at gouache , particularly this set and wants to eat it. I know absolutely I should not eat this, but I really think that if it tastes the way the colour looks that it should taste like the colour looks. This has been bouncing around my cart for months. There’s just something about the words jelly and gouache that make you think pudding.
Wow I love that it looks like someone holding a light under the sheet! Love it love it 😍 ❤️
The colours are so pretty 🥰🥰
I love my Jelly Gouache. It was the first Paint i could really work with, i love how it blends with other colours and that it drys matte
