Match Fishing Memories Part 23 - A Fateful Day

‪@MarkWintleFishing‬ The 5th of December 2004 was a fateful day. It was the day that Ivan Marks passed away aged 68, and the day I recorded my last match win. Although I match fished on an occasional basis for a few more years I only had a handful of placings until I packed up in 2011.
The peg I drew in that Christchurch AC Xmas match was one of the most challenging I've ever drawn. Incredibly shallow, fast yet holding enough fish - dace and small chub - to make it interesting. Enjoy!

At that time the upper Stour was fishing very well, lots of dace, chub and roach including big ones so I didn't go back to the tidal Stour at that time.
