You know I’ve tried to make this multiple times as a kid and always gave up on the 2nd part. I just turned 24 this year and I managed to make it thanks to your tutorial. Cheers man :)
Hey Jeremy, I've been doing origami for the past 5-6 years and I have to say I had trouble with this model. But with your expertise I was able to actually make it! This is definitely one of the best tutorials out there for this origami. Thanks Jeremy, and keep it up I've made most of your origami so far! :)
I can finally like your videos now that I have an account. Thanks jeremy! This was one of my favorite origami models that I loved to play with when I was younger.
The way u made it in beginning like the grid was hard maybe try Jo Nashikma way it’s easier but still jersey back at it again and an another amazing video
Your method is better. All the other videos I watched were boring. The way you tough me was actually not all that boring.I made it. I made it because your way was quicker and easier. Thanks for this video Jeremy.
Jermey: so now were gonna make a diagnal crease Me: aahh ok its Sooo easy why cant ppl make it Jermey: now go down and make more diagnal Me: K Jermey: now were gonn ake all of them reverse folds Me: Oh of course thats why it hard *THROWS THE PAPER AROUND THE ROOM*
Jeremy here is a little tip. If you want the spring into action to you know like go back in together and go out then you have to wet it. I did it and it work. No lies by the way.
I cannot die, until I fold this, and the magic ball. I always get stuck on the collapse w, on the second twist after you fold the "cap" I guess you'd call it. Sorry for typos, for some reason my text is not visible...
I made the origami magic ball which was quite challenging but now I want to also make this......thought about making this 2 years ago but now I'm going to actually do it.
i saw this spring into action about 8 years ago, was bored during a 3 hour break between classes lets just say 2 days later i folded a shitty one, almost nutted with joy.
Congrats on managing to make it, and in particular, congratulations on your determination to practice until you succeeded. I which everyone would have as much patience and determination as you! I would have a lot fewer trolls commenting on my videos.
you make this look like 100 times easier than it actually is! I thought that looks simple enough.. i was wronggg my paper misbehaved all though making it! completed it eventually and beaming with pride! :)
If you think you can do this but have never done origami don’t do it. Every origami that I want to make so far have actually worked, except for this one. It’s really hard to fold but even harder to twist together
"It is rather difficult to fold, ..." wish I read that part before I started :L Knew this wasn't very beginner friendly :L Oh well, too late now :p Gotta finish !!! :D

OMG this made it so much easier. I would always get stuck after about the 3rd section but after seeing how to lift up the flap it was so much simpler.
For those having trouble dividing into thirds u could just take a ruler measure ur paper and then divide by 3
First I saw jo nakashima's tutorial but I couldn't do it then I saw this tutorial and I got it.
Thanks Jeremy
Me too
i made with a whole sheet of printer paper without cutting it into a rectangle and it looks soooo awessoommmee
Cool! I'd love to see a video of your model!

The way u made it in beginning like the grid was hard maybe try Jo Nashikma way it’s easier but still jersey back at it again and an another amazing video
This should be rated one of the most hardest models to date
It's medium for me
Your hands are the hands of a pro origamist

Jermey: so now were gonna make a diagnal crease
Me: aahh ok its Sooo easy why cant ppl make it

it is very difficult to fold spring into action but it is easy for me
@@hosannadurai1557 same
It's easy like making the ball just giving it effort into it
Alejandro Calderon it took me 1 hour works pretty good but is uneven

Cool! Thanks for your comment!
Finally my dream come true I made my own spring into action thanks jermy
It was really difficult at first, but I kept trying and I finally did it :D
Red Cow Congrats! It really is a difficult model.
that's why I drew line on the diagonal folds so it makes it easier when you collapse it
It took about an hour but well worth it!
It took me some time but I managed to do it! It looks awesome
the amount of times i've tried and failed to make this IS TOO DAMN HIGH
Yep
Sure it is
Same
gj
The crumbling of the paper was satisfying! :) also when you watch it; its pretty easy!
I liked the tutorial and the music
after 7 attempts i finally made ittttttttt OMFG
No, a simpler version! Thumbs UP!
Beautifully done and actually better than jo nakashima
AT 25:00 , I THOUGHT HE SWORE, BUT HE SAID "okay”.
The hardest part was the ending the circle one i have done everything
right
I can't do it 😭, but I'm still amazed by you Jeremy!
I cannot die, until I fold this, and the magic ball. I always get stuck on the collapse w, on the second twist after you fold the "cap" I guess you'd call it. Sorry for typos, for some reason my text is not visible...

I think you are the best origamist for action origamis Jeremy.
i saw this spring into action about 8 years ago, was bored during a 3 hour break between classes lets just say 2 days later i folded a shitty one, almost nutted with joy.
So hard!!!!!!!!!! Very stressful still like it:)

Looks easy, really hard.

When this video was posted i wasnt even born yet
Yes finally made it now I can go to sleep yey
I did it!
jo makes everything neat that's why his dosen't have holes but jeremy's spring has big big holes in each part
Nice model I did it in my first try
It's hard for to estimate into the thirds
romee Lim so
there's a trick with folding diagonals and stuff
Please watch the video of Jo Nakashima
I know rite
Yes Jo Nakashima just folded the paper in fourths in the beginning of the video and cut 1/4 of the paper to get his thirds
YES! Made it on my fourth try!! Just need to have the patience and keep on trying!
Congrats on managing to make it, and in particular, congratulations on your determination to practice until you succeeded. I which everyone would have as much patience and determination as you! I would have a lot fewer trolls commenting on my videos.
Thank you. Your instructions were very clear too.
JeremyShaferOrigami how much does a tutoring lesson cost
I made it on my third!! I realized i was making it the wrong way.
I did it on my fifth attempt because I printed out the crease patteren. It rrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllyyyyyy helped me!

I can't do the part where you start making circles. You make it look SUPER EASY but when I try doing it I fail. Can someone please help me?
after 3 papers and 1 day i finally made it, the first and the second got crushed by me

Jeremy could you make an easier model of the spring into action
he made it
damn hell man! I dint get the 2nd part but its easier than jeff beyons video
i made it + if u think he is the best teacher in youtube thumbs up!!!!!
Make SURE that the diagonal creases are Valleys when you roll it in a tube.
I tore the paper because it was so difficult.
i almost
failed in 15:30
but its easy to understand (WAYYYY better than Jo Nakashima)
but hard to do
You guys say it's hard? it is so easy. You want hard? Try the ancient dragon, I folded it!
Maxwell Chen i folded ryujin 3.5 thats harder so shut you mouth pls

It is so hard my paper tears everytime
If you think you can do this but have never done origami don’t do it. Every origami that I want to make so far have actually worked, except for this one. It’s really hard to fold but even harder to twist together
Another way to make it into thirds is to make the first crease that you did, Mr. Shafer, then fold the other edge to that crease
it's hard!!!

Yo any tips?? I managed to make it but it’s leaning to one side and when it springs and I try out it back it don’t go

it took me 5 hours but i got it! my rings dont mach up when its flat why is that?
Its the ratio of the paper he uses
