Many years ago, I worked in a bar in Bogota, where one night Kraken performed. At the end of the concert we start cleaning the place with the other employees. Suddenly Elkin comes out of the dressing room and he starts cleaning us up and helping us because he knew we were tired. I’ve never met another person with that human quality. Greetings wherever you are Titan. Over there, surely, you will continue singing.
Kraken lyrics are amazing... more like poems for love, life, selfconstruction and even for indigenous people... a very underated band for a latinamerican rock band. Is own Colombia´s rock jewel
Thanks Thom for your reaction, Kraken was my favorite band when I was in highschool. Your reaction comes with old and good memories. Greetings from Colombia :P
La Fortaleza del Titán, ese es el nombre del concierto. Es épico porque los rangos líricos vocales de Elkin eran maravillosos y los arreglos para este disco son especialmente hermosos. Te recomiendo escuchar Aves negras.
Hey Thom, yeah that was something else. Absolutely memorable. Seeing the crowd and a few musicians so enthralled... And yes, these minor chords do what they should do, very melancholic... Nothing left to say but; Have a great time tomorrow @Singapore mate, it's probably gonna be an exciting race with Red Bull on P11 and P13... Let's hope for a great race! Cheers kerel! 🤘
Glad you enjoyed it too mate! Hard to not feel the emotions. Haha yes tomorrow should be fun. Any other team winning would be a nice change just once 😂
As always, it's interesting to watch your reaction. How about some metal from Mongolia? Check out The Hu - Wolf Totem (feat. Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach). I can't get this song out of my ears for days. Has also a little bit of Heilung, only we are not with the Vikings but with Genghis Khan. But there is also the version without Jacoby, I can't decide which is the better one.
@@ThomFoolery1 Oh yes, there is so much good music around the world, and the Internet makes it possible for us to discover it. My absolute favorite at the moment is Asaf Avidan, a singer/songwriter from Israel. In November, I'll be able to see him live at the Vienna Konzerthaus, which is normally home to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. It will be an unplugged concert, just him alone without a band. And if you listen to The Labyrinth Song from the album In a Box II, you know it will be fantastic. If you are also interested in this kind of music, I can only recommend you to discover this exceptional artist for yourself. Greetings from Austria
You should really have a listen at Resistencia, the Venezuelan Progressive Metal band that hasn't been given the credit I humbly believe it's due. Their album Dacapo (released in 198-fucking-4 alongside Queensryche's first album) is one of the best showcases of the prog metal genre at that time (I dare say they were the first proper prog metal band EVER, but they wouldn't last longer due to creative differences amid its members and that's why it's not heard of as much). I'd recommend "Amor Se Escribe con Besos" and "Hijos de la Democracia", though the entire album is amazing (special mention to "Blues de la Leyenda Dorada", very Rush-like)
So great to learn that your taste in music is versatile. I've followed your channel ever since you reacted to Wintersun's TIME. You are the first one I've seen getting teary eyes from Time - besides me. You were absent for a long time - I truly missed your passionate analyses and love for music Now I'd love to suggest to you a heart-wrenching song by Poets Of The Fall. (finnish alt-rock band). Acoustic live "Angel" - Alexander Theatre Sessions. Later perhaps you'd react to the whole band, as this version is sung by the singer/songwriter accompanied with lead pianist. Marko's voice is silky smooth conveying all his emotions for us to enjoy.
Moi! 👋 Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate the support. I have less time for reactions these days but I'll keep trying to make more. Thanks for the suggestion! 🤘

Una de las cosas que más me entristece es no haber podido ver a Elkin en vivo. Una voz única, eriza la piel.
