- On Saturday August 22, 2015 I followed the Nickel Plate Road S-2 Berkshire 765 on an excursion train through the Lehigh River George. Starting in Northampton, a suburb of Bethlehem, the engine and train were quite a sight as we follow her north to Mountain Top and then see her on the return trip arriving in Jim Thorpe where it meets Reading & Northern 4-6-2 Pacific #425. The 765 put on a great show, I hope you enjoy the video.

Wonder if the scene would be repeated again with a 425/765 doubleheader?
Well I can't speak for the 765 but here's hoping that we'll see a 425 and Reading 2102 double header in the summer of 2017. The Reading Blue Mountain & Northern is presently restoring and hopes to have the T-1 running in time for the summer tourist season.
Any other steam engines to be under steam?
Too early to say at this time.

brian falzon I have an update to your question the N&W 611 will be running in the April and May of this year in Virginia and the southern Pacific 4449 will be pulling an excursion in Oregon in late June
nope they are bring her back to Pennsylvania to Jim Thorpe I heard that it's going to be doing new York runs and other fall runs

Heard that 765 might return to Illinois again since last year.
Yes from what I know the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society want to go back out to Chicago and have the 765 pull the Galesburg railroad Days excursion on the old CB&Q main line. it was supposed to do it in 2016 but low ticket sales due to the late announcement of the trip forced them to cancel the excursions. so Chicago to Galesburg will probably happen this summer.
Would it be awesome if 261 and 765 meet for a doubleheader excursion from Chicago to Galesburg, Illinois and back?
Yes and the 261 has done the Galesburg trips in the past but not since 2002. Hopefully the 2 societies can work arrange for that but for right now i'd just expect to see the 765.
That'll be awesome for a 2 railroad society arrangement!
