NKP 765: Lehigh Gorge Special Steam Excursion

HD 1080p: On the weekend of August 22nd-23rd, the Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 Berkshire #765 hauled a couple steam excursions from Allentown, PA all the way up to Pittston, PA and back by way of the NS Lehigh Line and Reading & Northern. Eastern Railfan Productions was on the chase on that Saturday to see her in action! We caught her in numerous different spots, and also spotted the RBMN 4-6-2 #425 pulling excursions out of Jim Thorpe, where 765 met her on the return leg of the big trip. Now turn up the volume, and enjoy the sights and sounds of mainline steam in action!

In the future, I think it would be awesome for the R&N to be in cooperation with the VMT, AOSR, NS, FWRHS, KRM and SRC. Maybe more visiting steam to come in the future.

I think the whistle duel was a tie, well I do like Reading northern 425’s 3 chime whistle but I do also love nickel plate road 765’s Nathan 6 chime whistle so I’m going with both

I asked a conductor when I went about that and he said they didn’t have any plans for 765 and 425 at the moment they also said 765 probably won’t visit again
