Speaking in regards to layering amps to create an overall tone you want, this is something ive always loved and done since my favorite guitarists tones are based this way. Adam Jones from tool has always used 3 amps, 1 for low/mid/high and Jerry Cantrell as well, specifically in the studio for my favorite AIC album dirt layered amps. 1 of my favorite combinations is to use my favorite amp, a dual rectifier and blend in a jcm800 or other marshall type, maybe an uberschall or something to add some fatness. I also like using the recto and a 5150/6505 type of amp. And sometimes Ill just have 1 on 1 side and 1 on the other, while other times it may be blended together. Really gets you larger than life tones that way.
Nice work but no need to copy and paste the MIDI to each GGD instance. You don't even need the GGD instances on multiple tracks. You can have them all in the same Kontakt and do multiout just for the specific drums that you want triggered for that kit.
I know you've done NIN stuff before, but I'd love to see you make a track that sounds like its off The Fragile, specifically something similar to Just Like You Imagined. Keep up the good work
I can't believe this comment. Wtf. I literally have made the track you're describing today. I mean, not specifically inspired by Just Like You Imagined but what the hell hahaha. The video on that track will be dropping in about 10 days 🤘 hope you enjoy it
Love your stuff! Have you ever heard Jesu? I'd love a breakdown of how to produce music like his. His drone type of style. Silver is a good track similar to this but heavier and slower.
Very nice work. Came across your channel yesterday so I’ve been binge watching all your videos 🤘 Question: when you layer all these guitar tones, obviously you track separate takes for L&R, but do you track separate takes for each tone and layer them or do you track like a separare DI for the main tone and then run it through all the different tones? Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge. Saludos desde Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Very cool but abe cunningham is a goat in the drumming community and abe is particularly known for his unique grooves and fills so bold choice not adding variations jaja
@@morbidanimal333 I think I said in the vid somewhere. If I remember right it’s drop c, and key wise… it’s complicated. Mostly natural minor.. but also phrygian I guess, but I’m technically using notes outside of Phrygian haha. Mostly just C natural minor tho
That drum library is fire
All hail the UA-cam algorithm for leading me to this video ! Lots of great stuff in this video, thank you 🤘🏾😁
i hear that
🤖 👾 You. Are. Welcome 🤖 🖥 👨💻 🖲
I always learn something new, good stuff!
the synth bass sounding like the PS1 startup really seals it imo
This is awesome! Can you do more loathe-type songs?

@@alfasonicstudios thank you! Yes, usually I just double track and process the same signal through multiple chains!
If you add vocals + vocal production, it would provide so much value to the vid (even more, it's amazing)
Yes
love it
I wish all shoegaze was like this
love it man!! maybe some metallica type music???
Planning to do a couple of Metallica themed vids eventually! 🤘🤘
@@RichiiWainwright HELLLYEAA CAN'T WAITT MAN!!

Nugaze? Interesting.
using ezdrummer is much easier and faster)

Pls make an Evanescence Tutorial 🙏❤
Great idea!
And what U said about the future of production is true, one time I made a beat that's inspired by trap and rock but sounds nothing like i heard b4
Now I wanna hear it!
I want to elavate this sound that's y I'm watching you

I know 😆 wanted a different vibe. My first Deftones vid I did I go into my depth on replicating Abe’s playing
what DAW do you use?
He’s using Cubase
great you just made a Linkin Park song
i dont wanna be that nerd guy but i think deftones is categorized as emo
No.
@@beticuchomalo it is tho.
@A_chaos_00 dunno where you heard that but it's not. It's typically labeled as shoegaze/alt rock.
They are usually classified more as Shoegaze.
SS 11x🤘🤘🤘
What key / scale and tuning are you using?
