I look like my microphone in this video lol.
#producer #linkinpark #theemptinessmachine #fromzero #tutorial
Everyone keeps asking what DAW I use. I'm using Cubase. All DAWs are basically the same though, just learn your DAW inside out and you'll be good.
The video description 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“I look like my Microphone in this video Lol.”
At least it's interesting 😂
I just got a new electric guitar and keyboard, and my favorite band is back. My insperation level is super high to learn and make music. Thank you for the amazing breakdown I've learned a lot!
@@LPArabia hell yeah! Good luck 🤘
linkin park ghost producer. goood job
@@georgeheyden774 dream job haha
I really appreciated haring your take on it not being overproduced, because I was actually leaning towards thinking it was overproduced compared to The Hunting Party stuff. But you're right, tons of natural and old school stuff in there
Piano chord bar 36 timecode 13:03 there is no third in the left hand. It's Bb F Bb D (low to high)
Piano chord bar 37 is F C F A
Piano chord bar 32 is D A D F#
Piano chord bar 34 is G Bb D G
Piano chord bar 38 is C C E G
One thing you missed here is that he plays a D major chord instead of a minor one, this is called modal interchange and it's a must known concept for songwriting. It works very well because the vocal part avoids the third F that way it doesn't clash with the F# on the piano
I am pretty sure this this played by a human on a real piano and he plays 4 part harmony all along
The piano needs dynamics right now it's robotic, all the same velocity played fff. The top line should be at higher velocity than the rest.
Absolutely on point.
@@colinmignot6309 interesting! Thanks for sharing more valuable info. I wasn’t going for 100% accuracy bc I had like 2 days to make this whole thing, but just wanted to get a similar sound and share whatever tips I could. You definitely studied the chords in more depth than I did.
Only skipped over the modal interchange to keep the video short ish. Amazing trick in this track 🤘
You know your sh*t man !
@@RichiiWainwright it woulda actually been easier for you to do the modal interchange in this situation. So I don't think time was your issue ;)
@@ChrisJohnstonMusic I did ‘do’ the modal interchange I just didn’t talk about it haha. I produce 7 days a week for a living and have to find time for YT on the side. Time is the issue 🫠
Your channel has been such a blessing for myself and other new producers, thank you so much
@@ItsObi-WanKenobi thank you! Comments like this mean so much 🤘
Bro is such an underrated UA-camr
You, sir, are incredible at this
dude, you completely nailed it!
I found your channel recently and think your videos are so inspiring and insightful! I already incorporated some of your tricks in my workflow. It's super convenient. :)
Bro, how do you hear all of these details!? Especially replicating the tone of the guitars just seems really crazy to me. Great work and super educational. Subbed
Joe is doing the drum loops and pad swirling ambient sounds in the background keeping it lo-fi. Great job really appreciate the song break
down you and i notice you are you using Cubase that's my DAW of choice as well👍
Dear god that's an insane breakdown ... thank you :) If I can remember one or two things from this video I'll be happy ... and that reverse piano cord build up is insane :) (might be common knowledge for some but blew me away as a beginner)
Hey, great video! I was wondering if you could do a "How to Produce Waiting For The End"; it's my favourite song and I'd love to see how other producers recreate the whole thing (especially the intro)
Great breakdown, Outstanding Tut. Well Done
fantastic video! I wish you added full song at the end. It sounds really accurate!
I'd seriously take a soundpack of your mouth drum sounds! lol. Solid. Great video btw!
Awesome dude! Excellent analysis. I love how they produced the song, and you broke it down perfectly. I totally lost it when you said at 11:50 "...and just leave you with blue balls." LOL
That's insane!
Wow, great work!
Great video dude, in depth yet to the point 👏🏻 not even a massive LP fan but you definitely nailed it, now looking forward to watching you’re NIN and Cure vids.
pls pls pls Do an mogwai vid - if you know their music it’s super varied but being a band that does a lot of soundtrack work, they have a very clever knack for making textured and intricate songs (sometimes using only a few chords/notes).
Maybe a video where you look at the techniques used over a few different tracks?
@@samwallis8318 I may do that at some point! Never been the hugest Mogwai fan but I do like them. I’ll revisit their discography 🤘 thanks man
Fantastic channel!
Awesome breakdown! NAILED IT (I'm abscessed with this track too!)
Nice job Richie! Bad Ass!!!
Cool video. I had to subscribe the moment the blue balls line hit.
@@JAMPROSOUND only way to describe that first chorus 😆
Well done, loved the breakdown and tips and step by step rebuild Thank you
let’s goo!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Your videos are always on point.
really appreciate your work man!
Awesome tutorials. Please do a Qotsa breakdown. 🙌
Amazing! Please, make a video on how to achieve Mike Shinoda's rap sound!
Amazing work as always fam
Please make a more detailed video on the guitar tone. Maybe with free amp.
Ohhh nice. Great video!!
so good, nice vid man
Subscribed! Loved this
Nice, it is very useful and to the point!
there are no iconic linkin park vibes 🤣
I feel like the kick and snare in the original song are a little fuller, kick in the low boomy end and snare a bit more midrange focus, so when you made them more high end focused on purpose I was like "huh??" but other than that you pretty much got there
f-ing awesome man
There is a way to download it? Great job!
Amazing. You must have a really good insurance for your ears 😃
great video! I need to get me another guitar. I sold mine because it sounded bad on recording.
Use your illusion - guns n roses!
Ohmygohd
Thanks a lot!
Nice
Your guitars sound so good 😮💨
impressive
I like how u use rock hand sign to play piano lol
🤘🎹
Hi mate , niceee video !
Will you do a remake for one ok rock Delusion:All ?
Can you do Don't Stay from Meteora?
Amazing video man. Would you sell a custom back track for this song? I play in a Linkin Park cover band and we're really looking forward to playing this live.
@@guilhermecazzonato3663 yeah definitely, hit my email exormusicofficial@gmail.com and we’ll figure it out! I technically don’t have the bridge recorded yet but it shouldn’t take long as I have most of the sounds down already obvs
looks fun, looks like you have a good idea of what to listen for, sounds very nice, though I don't think you showed the whole "finished" thing?
13:04 at 37, is that the right chord? something sounds... off? not sure i could be seeing stuff
yeah that should be an F maj
Helloo! love your vıdeos :)) Any chance you can make a tutorıal about guıtar tones on cubase 13 lıke ındıe rock, alt rock etc
hi, do you have a link to download your vital presets? They are awesome!!
niceeee
BTw what is the name of the electric guitar that you used here?
Love your vids. Dude I've never had a CPU issue until I loaded Fort amp, and I consider my PC to be fast. Any suggestions for a lighter alternatives?
Guitar Rig?
@@taunado that’s weird. Never had CPU issues with Neural products myself, but I honestly haven’t found other amps that compare to theirs. Not sponsored or anything but I genuinely just love their products
@@taunado I haven’t tried guitar rig but it could be worth a shot
@@RichiiWainwright I plugged my laptop in an now it's working smoothly (battery mode uses less CPU). I guess good to note that it uses more CPU than other amps like Guitar Rig.
Do you enjoy Blink 182? If so, an analysis of Stockholm Syndrome or Anthem Part 2 will be fire. The intro guitar and smackin snares sound so good.
dude It's already produced :))
hi, im looking to buy my first electric guitar soon. can u recommend me some models? thanks !
@@hengweiteh depends on what styles you wanna play and your budget. I just buy guitars cuz they look cool so my advice is probably bad advice but I’m sure some people here can help you
Do you make livestreams ? I'm curious to watch you work all this out ?
@@colinmignot6309 not at the moment. Maybe in the future. It takes many hours tho so idk… could be pretty boring to watch haha
@@RichiiWainwrightBoring for who? Lol. I'm pretty sure the people watching your videos would love even longer more detailed videos
what headphones u using
@@AkRockCovers AKG K92
-6 lufs? Got it)))
😈😈😈😈😈
The piano chords are wrong, but you did a great job on the rest!
But im guessing it's all correctly in the correct key???
Yes, a power chord is a 1, 5, 1, but he was only playing 1 and 5 with an octave 1.
Either this is a Living things or Hunting party album unused song..so we're basically listening to old material, but with a female singer
Maybe....
The complete lack of interesting bass lines in LP's discography has always annoyed me
Give us some grooces LP
I dont know. Its kinda similar but also miles away. The drums need more eq-ing, too much highs on overheads and hi hat and it all around doesnt glue together in the mix with the bass (sidechaining?). The guitars need way more eq-ing, the lead part in refrain doesnt pop out. And although the guitars are recorded, they sound like made on a piano roll. Maybe use other plug ins? In the video itself i was skipping too much to actually here the results. Would be good to show more of what everything sounds like in between the talking. Just my opinion, no trolling.
this guy sings way more better then Emily Armstrong 😅 he mite be able to take over the new drummer and that terrible new singer 🤣🤷♂️
linkin park : generic chords, generic piano, generic drums, generic guitar, generic synthbass, generic band
Who Cares they Rock!
@@Mazomania of course, white bread is tasty
Sleep Token would be a cool breakdown
@@JL-gg2so hopefully gonna be the next vid I put out!
@ hell yeah! Production has come a long way since the days of splicing 2 inch tape and resampling from it……and you’ve got it down to a science/artform
@RichiiWainwright - Can you make a video "How to sound like Depeche Mode"?
