Gira-gira is an onomatopoeic word that describes a strong or intense glow, like the sun. It can also mean a strong glint in the eyes. The metaphor is that the intense glow of the eyes = a strong will. For example, "He had gira-gira eyes full of ambition."
Mera-mera is an onomatopoeia describing a strong flame flaring up. Likewise, it can also express strong will, but unlike gira-gira, it often expresses jealousy or anger. For example, "Because of her anger, her heart was burning mera-mera."

"ira-ira" irritated, "ora-ora" insolence (slang), "kara-kara" clatter or dry,
"kera-kera" cackle, "kora-kora" scold, "sara-sara" murmur or rustle,
"sura-sura" smooth, "chira-chira" glance, "hara-hara" feel nervous ,
"bura-bura" hung out(walk around or sway)
This is still less than 1/400. Japanese has a lot of onomatopoeia. However, there was one that I noticed a slight resemblance. "Irritated" and "ira-ira" have a similar sound, and hung out and bura-bura both have the same two meanings.
one thing I'd like to point out, gira-gira indicates a dirty kind of sparkle, like rusty metal.
At the beginning of the song she sings the lyric "Ugly, honestly, my face is as if God drew it with his left hand " implying that God drew her with his nondominant hand, thus resulting in her ugly face. She's saying that if God was left handed, he would have drawn her beautifully, and thus she would be happy.
and as you can see, her face is similar to the "god's" face. that means her face was deliberately created similar to the "god"

(The first part is obvious, so I’ll skip that bit.) If God was left handed, then He purposely drew her face that way and that it wasn’t a mistake. Ie she’s perfect as she is and she was meant to look the way she is and not to compare herself to the standards of others. I think this is also why the cloaked angel that has the same scar shaped hole as on her face, she crushes it. I think this is her inner image and her thinking that their is something missing from her beauty, hence the hole, instead of the fact that it was intentional. Dunno tho, haha.
i thought one of the lyrics in the song was “what if god was left handed?” towards the middle of the song but idk i just remember that
5:17 "I wish God is left-handed" is a response to previous lyrics where she said "her face is drawn with God's left hand", around 1:53 of this video.

Gira Gira is the most beautiful song for me, not only her deep meaningful lyrics and the groovin beats, but also the animation in this mv are telling story so well. The girls in the mv have a birthmark on her left side face, so all the lyrics is about that. At the end of video, the scene she saw the missing part on the Goddess’s face is make her understand everything. Anyway, the meaning of this song is wanting people to love themselves and being more confident(in my opinion). Everyone is shine bright in your way.
