Glad to see another RR will put them to good use. Will miss seeing them on LVR, NSHR, SV, and NBER lines. At least North Shore RR has some passenger equipment of their own now.
Does North Shore still plan to operate excursions with whatever they have? Like on the Shamokin branch, Northumberland line, Williamsport lines, etc.? These coaches would have been good with the ex-PRR #1361 when restored on the Nittany and Bald Eagle. Reading and Northern is closer to me though. Port Clinton is 26 miles west of me, I live near Foglesville, PA. Maybe these coaches will ride behind the 2102 and 425 in the future. North Shore didn't have any operating steam locomotives.
They are marked Pennsy, but only one of them actually shares PRR history (that being the parlor car). They’ll match well with the existing passenger fleet on the Reading and Northern.
@@PANortheasternRailfan I rode these cars I ride plenty of time growing up last time I rode these cars was back in December for Santa trains out of williamsport thank you for memory's Penn Valley Railroad
I rode the M&S branch for the Ashland Pioneer days trip. That track could use some work and don’t get me started on the suspension of the RDC’s. I would’ve preferred a diesel and coaches.
@ The only ex-PRR coach is the parlor car. That one will be turned into what is called a crown class car. The three coaches on the end of the train that are ex-DL&W will be come standard coaches. The diner and crew car have not have been decided yet but they will undoubtedly be used at some point.
Congratulations R&N for adding more cars to your fleet!
truly beautiful pieces of history
Watching the trains waiting for goods is really interesting. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!

Yeah I know some are disappointed by the sale; but luckily they will still be used and maintained well.

Great catches awesome chase and nice video
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
These passenger cars would look great with the pair of Blue Mountain and Reading 5898 and 5706 what a great sight that would be.
I would personally go chase this consist if 1361 is in the lead. ❤ great video!
Thank you!
I watched these come across to the drop-off location on virtual railfan the other day.
Which virtual railfan cam was that?
Theres some of the Pennsy Passenger cars
For the PRR Broadway Limited.

@ glad you’ve been able to ride them before; I’m looking forward to riding myself!

Yeah there’s a reason it’s mostly freight on that track lol; they did recently do some work to the line though so it may ride smoother now.
It's a Pennsylvania railroad coach consist.
Painted as such; but the only authentic one is the parlor car.
Nice video, likes from me!
Thanks!
Can you please fill me in on what happened I know the owner of these cars from PV…but had no idea this was coming? 💔
From what I understand he was ready to get out of the passenger business, and made an agreement to sell to Reading and Northern.
@@PANortheasternRailfan thanks for filling me in
Very nice. The F-units would have been nicer but you can't have everything.
Did they get a dining car? They need one.
Yep! One is a diner.
@PANortheasternRailfan Their website hasn't been updated yet.
The baggage car wil be converted to a generator car. in the future.
That is correct.
What's gonna happen to the EX PRR coaches

those actually aren’t new
They are new to the Reading and Northern.
