Not sure if this is genuine or a joke on the emotional ending of the game but yeah, there's a lot of pieces which may initially look easy but when it comes to the finishing touches of actually playing them, the volume control needed to convey their particular emotion can make them quite tricky
I can never escape this game dude It means so much to me, it was the first Pokémon game I ever completed. I remember bawling my eyes out at the ending, feeling the exhaustion hit me when I finally got to the end. Thank you so much for this beautiful cover of this piece, lads.
This actually made me cry, cause it made me remember getting to this ending when I was young and crying so hard, it just fills me with a sad nostalgia.
I know how you feel, pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky is one of my favorite games to play, to be honest I always cry at the end no matter how many times I played it
@@connorblawn3325 not even an exaggeration in the slightest. This game has such an amazing, emotional, insanely good story that will *never* be matched by another game. @@connorblawn3325 tbf the bar ain't exactly very high for pokemon. I do think that having it tackle more serious stakes (and losses) in such a good way for a child target audience makes it one of the more memorable stories for stuff aimed at the same age range.
The first time I had heard this song, it was only a few months ago. The first time I heard it I genuinely nearly cried for the first time in actual years, and then I watched a whole playthrough of PMD explorers of sky because I wanted to know the context of such a sad song. As a result of that, this song is extremely close to my heart now. Thanks SMB! ❤
"The world is back to normal... but you'll have to say goodbye to your best friend." You'll never have to say goodbye because... the real best friend is the friends we made along the way... Wait, that doesn't make sense.
OH MY GODDDD IVE BEEN WISHING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG AND ITS FINALLY A REALITY!!!!! this is amazing, thank you guys so much for this :’) hopefully this means more mystery dungeon!! time gear and on the beach at dusk are so beautiful :)
Alright, so a nostalgic track from a masterpiece full of pathos. Come on, guys. Go ahead with your emotional childhood memories speach, I got all night. Yes it's ironic
Here is mine I remember when I was first playing PMD when it came out now that I am 21 this song always makes me cry. This game was really the first game to make me cry at the end because you work so hard to fix the problem and make many friends and to have to say goodbye to them is sad, but it also tough me that they will always be in our hearts. This is what I took from this game and I got to say now looking back I wish I know were my copy of PMD explorer of sky is. Because it help me when I was lonely because it make me feel like I was part of the game. And PMD is really the first game that got me into different story driving games. And as always when I new PMD game come out I know I will always cry at the end. Now if you excuse me I am going to cry in a corner now.
Ok here I go I have the game in a Nintendo Ds, bcs my aunt give both to me When I win it for first time (at 8-9 years or less), I was so proud of myself from beating the final boss without the help of my aunt, who always help me in difficult levels, and I was so happy, hoping a happy ending and that all the things they where saying wasn't true. I was a child with innocent hope, I couldn't ask for more But then I saw the ending and start crying, convincing me that this wasn't the ending, and something better was going to happen, but then I saw the credits and everything was wrong, there wasn't happy ending yet I wet the pillow of my bed and my mom hear me and come to hug me, worried of what happened to me, but of course I couldn't explain it to her, and I was only saying "I'm so sad, I want to cry more and more because everything looks sad now" and keep crying. My mom try to confort me and I stop crying.... Until she left the room Now I'm 15, and the two years ago I was trying to win again the game, and I did it, and the result was almost the same, I was crying a lot, but then my best friend cheer me up Now, I want to play it again, even knowing that I'm gonna cry again, but the game is a masterpiece, it deserves it
This song is so meaningful and heartfelt to me I was a little hesitant to listen if I'm being honest. Although part of the fear was that such a beautiful song combined would somehow not work with the channel, the main part of my fear was the comments. I was fully expecting the comments to be as they typically are, disregarding the beautiful piece and just spewing whatever request they have, as typical. I am incredibly surprised in the best way, this comment section is so much more relevant and wholesome, lots of people genuinely sharing their thoughts and feelings on this as opposed to how few there tend to be. Thank you for such a beautiful rendition of this piece. As stated before this is very close to my heart so I'm glad it turned out so well. To answer the Q in the description, I played as a Cyndaquil, same between rescue team and explorers.
I haven't touched it since finishing it back in the day (me, a Riolu, and my partner a Shinx) but if there's one thing this song get right, it's that the ending is something you _don't ever forget._
Ooooh, I was waiting literally years for this to finally happen... Thanks for the cover! I can play a couple of PMD songs on piano, but this is still by far my favorite.
This song can go for the ending of every video games main story and when you quit not because you want to but because you did it, you beat the villian so now everyone is in peace there is no reason to stay around you have to go and the song really makes you feel that emotion a lot more…
I think it’s because it can go for any game Pokémon or not. The feeling of leaving everything behind not cause you want to but you have beat your adventure so everyone you helped and grew attached to are now gone just like that… :edit I think the most painful part about 100%ing a video game is the fact you have seen everything sure you can do it all again but there is no need to do it you helped everyone now there is no need to play it again unless it’s like Undertale where you destroy there happy ending…
I never got into Mystery Dungeon at its peak. I played Super Mystery Dungeon and had a blast, and tried out a few more games and they were even better. Explorers of Sky is definitely one of my favorites, so this is nice to hear. This is really well put together! Day 14 of requesting Fall Breaks from SiIvaGunner’s King For Another Day Tournament!
The reason it's "hard" is because you have to keep wiping the tears off your eyes while remembering flashbacks of u playing this game, while recreating it in the piano, AT THE SAME TIME ( Good job seriously )
You know what really gets me? The first few chords in the very beginning have the same weight as "there will be another time..." From Halo reach. It really hits you that the adventure is over, the hero is leaving. Everything youve done up to that point in BOTH games comes flooding back into your mind as you remember all the experiences you went through leading up to this moment of finality. The slow, yet harmonic and soft chords linger, letting everything sink in... This is what sets us up for the tears, what sets us up for the end... And it is beautiful beyond measure...
Yes! Yes! Please please please do more from this game! It has one of the best sound tracks in video game history! Thank you so much for doing this song, I teared up when listened. If possible can you do dialga's fight to the finish or memories returned?
This theme is really so great, thank you for the cover... So emotional and intense. It showed the soul that the Pokemon games once had, stories about friendship, hope and sadness. This Mystery dungeon was one of the best Pokemons games
I just bought this game for a good friend of mine yesterday so she can experience it like I did in my childhood, and now I see this. This is so beautiful, thank you! Looking forward to when she gets to this part.
You just can't stop playing this game it's like my 10th time getting to the end still can't stop, this game is one of the best games in Pokemon history it just very emotional at the end that it makes us cry very often it's a game that just stops for us
Almost cried, mystery dungeon is such an underrated series, it actually makes you feel like you've gone on a proper adventure with your partner, and when it forces you to leave it HURTS because it really feels like they're your friend. I wish the mainstream pokemon games and just games in general would care more about eliciting that kind of true emotional reaction. I remember as a kid getting ANGRY at the monsters in the volcano at the end for bullying my partner, who was a Venusaur and I made sure they paid for their transgression xD
Mystery dungeon was my first pokemon mystery dungeon game, this gives me those nostalgic vibes, I miss that game, it was a birthday present for my seventh birthday

This song always made me cry as a kid! It's beautiful! Also, would you be able to do Steep Hill from Animal Crossing? I can't find any piano tutorials for that song and it's my favorite.
When I first beat PMD:EoD (yeah, I played Sky later), I did so at my granny's house, shortly after her cancer diagnosis. Kinda funny, how this song still reminds me of her checking up on me, and telling me that if a game upset me that much, I could just not play it. It's still the best game I ever played, to this day
