We are getting ready to move, so this was the last Halloween in our current house. It really hit my heart because our neighborhood is PACKED on Halloween and it's just so great. The house we live in is the first house you see when you pull into the neighborhood so we always get a LOT of trick or treaters. Where we are moving, is in the country. My sister in law lives in the country, and my mother in law lives on a dead end road with only 2 houses so they never get trick or treaters either. I never realized how much I actually appreciated that aspect of our neighborhood until we're leaving it.

Thanks for posting. I’ll be doing this closer to Thanksgiving. Our society is always on the go and the need for things now and never in the moment. We are always looking for the next thing. This year I’ve taken a step back and will be focusing on the now and not decorating Christmas till after Thanksgiving.

@@rachelhele7827 it’s crazy how powerful social media is and the negative life long affects that no one realizes is affecting them and their families. The need to keep up with others. People see influencers decorating early so they feel the need to keep up. And it’s not just decorating it clothes, appearance and materialistic things. I think as a society we are in dangerous territory that will affect the next generation. We really need to slow down and be in the moment. That’s when you will be the happiest.

I'm stunned you took down your fall decorations - it's November 2nd? We still have this month through Thanksgiving. But if you're tired of it and want some Christmas I guess that's great! I, however, refuse to put up Christmas until either the day after Thanksgiving or the first day of Advent (the real beginning of the Christmas season for us). Fall is my favorite season!! But your home is gorgeous and you do inspire me to continue my decluttering journey....so thank you!

Spray water mixed with few drops clove or peppermint oil inside and out of window seals. Good to stay in drains at night for drain flys

We live in fl too. A shower without tile is best my opinion bc no grout. Yes, tile is beautiful, but I notice as I get older, my time is valuable so easy clean up. Love ur channel.

Lynn we moved states a few years ago & are now empty nesters. Since then I have been decluttering SO much, especially my decor! I have been decorating with less and less and truly it’s help my anxiety. I use to decorate & within a week want to rip it all down. I have learned to use colors that compliment my daily decor & that are not so bold, that has also helped me.
I only just started buy Fall decor last year when I was looking for flowers for my cat Lucy as a memorial and found Chinese Lanterns. Then I got several items from the Range and one or two pieces from TKMaxx. Real good prices otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased anything. However I will be keeping them for years to come.

We had them this summer pretty bad. I read somewhere not to ever squish one because it omits an odor that the coloney smells and comes to retrieve the dead ant. My bad. Anyways after ant baits & a dew other fails my hub said he was told equal parts baking soda & powdered sugar mixed up really well, i placed around the main ant areas in little bowls. And it actually WORKED! Bonus dog & kid friendly! Hope it works for you too!

Lynn, What tool did you use to clean the PB chair? Did it work like you wanted? Was PB chair fabric solvent or water based? I have two couches of similar fabric and need to steam them clean like you did but don’t know where to start.

I can’t use my floor vacuum on my bed . I can’t wash shoes in my washing machine. I don’t walk around in socks on the floor . Just won’t do it. I think about where shoes go. Public places like bathrooms , parking lots where people spit and throw up etc . That’s why anything that touched the floor doesn’t go in my washing machine.

I’m sad seeing everyone taking down all the Fall decor on UA-cam you all have all of November for Fall and 21 days in December left for fall decor. I can understand if it was after Thanksgiving and then Christmas decorations going up in December. But then you all take everything down on Boxing Day 😢instead of January 5th or 6th. All the rush to buy things and not appreciated for long.
For us we are enjoying longer. We decorate for Fall in Aug. Then Christmas in Nov. We keep it up until the week after. We have it all out for a long time.

I’ve felt such conviction over it. I feel torn. So this year I chose not to decorate for it at all. I did let the kids get some candy, though.
