Enjoyed your videos for Ragbrai, my husband and i are Brits living in Canada and we did our first Ragbrai in 2023, it is hard work, an amazing accomplishment and tons of fun! We will be back at some point. I was 50 in their 50th year!
Thank you both for sharing your experience. While I'm sad that you decided not to finish, I'm wildly impressed that you even came over to give it a go. You both did very well. I love RAGBRAI and have become addicted to the fun it offers. This will be my fourteenth year riding across Iowa. It's the best week of my year, every year. RAGBRAI is tough, very tough sometimes. The heat and humidity can really take a toll. I look forward seeing to your next adventure. Best wishes. 👍
Thank you for sharing this. Most you tube videos underplay how physical this ride is. Day 3 wrecked me and I had to sag at Greenfield. I just hadn't recovered from the first two days and I feel like I only slept every other night. On day 4 I was good to go again, but it was still brutal. When I got home I told my wife I am glad I did it, but would probably never do it again. A month later, I wanted to ride one day, then 2 or 3... Now I have taken the whole week off of work just in case!!
Nice video's, two time RAGBRI rider and I think you experience would have been better with a Northern or Central ride. Those hilly Southern rides can be brutal.
Hey, thanks for watching! I see that they have released a Northern route for 2025, maybe this year we should go back....I will ask Louise her thoughts 😉
This was literally the hardest (most hilliest) RAGBRAI in all 51 versions of the ride. I hope you come back for a more "normal" RAGBRAI experience. 2025 is supposed to be a northern route aka pretty flat!
@@EverydayJourneysTV It's just SO much more of a party scene when the days aren't ridiculously hilly. I do hope you give it another shot you'll notice more riders and more social energy along the route.
@@EverydayJourneysTV Oh my, you picked the hilliest RAGBRAI ever! This year will be one of the flatest. I might even try it this year, and I'm 55! Come back on a northern or central Iowa route. Southern Iowa is just too damn hilly! Good luck!
@@seththomas9105 My current efforts on persuading Louise to head back out to Iowa to complete the 2025 Ragbrai is landing on deaf ears. Maybe we need to start a small online campaign. Ironically, we both absolutely adore the state of Iowa and will definitely be back ❤
Great effort!
Well done you two!
Enjoyed the trip down memory lane. The best pie was always at the next restaurant stop so keep pedaling
