I kid you not, I was reading Wind of Sand today before giving it to Neloth, and I thought that there might be some interesting builds inspired by it. This is amazing, and I love the backstory!
you're doing builds? that's awesome! i can't wait to se what you cook up, let me know if you want an idea... in fact a backstory writing contest sounds like fun.
A minor thing, but as the Altmer are the tallest race in the game, they have an ever-so-slight movement boost when compared to the other races. Wouldn't fit as well as a Redguard for a melee build, but could be an alternative choice when your character is addicted to speed.
Fun playstyle indeed. The whirlwind cloak is very fun with slow time because you can sometimes hit enemies mid air. I recommend experimenting with the captain clothes (white collar version) and the captain boots with the aetherium crown and the golden bracelet from the last dark Brotherhood quest, along with ebony scimitar. This is the outfit for my pirate lord build but I think it fits here just for variety
How about a Venom-inspired Umbra build? A warrior who fools himself into thinking he can use the power of the Umbra sword to make the world a better place, only to become a ravenous monster hungry for souls. He tries to do good, but with Umbra's constant influence, he usually ends up choosing the most violent options. "We... are Umbra."
I actually have an idea for a Clavicus Knight/Umbra build that is quite similar, but I will probably hold off for a while as it’s far too similar to my Soul Reaper build I made in October.
Some fun non-CC mods that would go well with this build: - Classic Classes and Birthsigns by watafuzz (some abilities come with useful speed and stamina boosts) - Immersive Armors + Immersive Weapons by hothtrooper44 (add lore-friendly Redguard armor and higher level scimitars respectively) - Wintersun by EnaiSiaion (allows the player to choose a patron deity - one of Kynareth's boons is increased combat speed, following Hermaeus Mora enhances spells and Shouts cast on oneself such as cloaks and Elemental Fury, Molag Bal enhances destruction spells and allows for stamina and magicka absorption during combat - would require roleplaying the Windwalker as a much darker character though, and The HoonDing makes staggering attacks a lot more powerful) They're good "beginner" mods, too, for anyone looking to dip their toes into a modded Skyrim experience.
Read the title as "Wind Waker Build" at first, and I thought this was going to be a lot more goofy. I don't know if I'm disappointed or relieved this wasn't about trying to fenagle Skyrim enchantments, magic, and shout systems to get as close as possible to the powers presented in Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
Great build! If I were to play it, I would probably opt for the Windshear and ditch the shield playstyle just because I think it's so on theme with its name and how it's a scimitar (also I would still benefit from the Quick Reflex perk)
I love Skyrim but was never really interested in a specific build until I saw these videos. I got the love another life and wintersun mods after seeing one of these.
Please don't stop making these... After Fudgemuppet stopped making Skyrim builds, you're my last bastion for roleplay characters 😭 (and they're individually good ofc!)
A Couple things, 1: The best way to increase your odds of getting the Ring of the Wind (or any of the Fishing Jewelry) is to use the Dwarven Fishing rod (you get one by following the Fishing Quests for Viraya) and it brings the chance up to 8%. I know it isn't much, but any increase is worth it. 2: There is another unique item in Skyrim AE that increases player movement speed: The Boots of Blinding Speed (added by the Netch Leather armor creation), these boots *Double* your movement speed, but with the Drawback of making you blind. Yeah needless to say they aren't meant for combat. Side note for that last bit, you CAN technically get your sight back with the boots on by mixing a Night Eye effect (Via CC ingredient potions, or the racial ability of Khajiit/Vampires) and the Vision of the Tenth Eye spell from the Master Illusion quest. The 2 put together offsets the Blindness enough to see... it's just that it's only for about 30 seconds at a time.
doing something very similar, female redguard, remnant armour, but i use dual wield scimitars, one ebony and one remnant, flame cloak, sneak, enchanting. fiery soul trap on one scimitar and the other plain. fire breath, slow time, elemental fury shouts. smithing until arcane smithing. so fun to play with
I like to play this build with the mod abyssal wind magic with a wind spell in my left hand and boneshaver on my right hand, I also like to use the black captains boots with the armor
It would've been nice if the Remnants mod added in a new follower - there's only _two_ Redguard followers in the vanilla game, and both of them don't even spec into light armor.
I'd like to see how you put together the perfect Assassin. Like, kind that would absolutely do all the side missions the Dark Brotherhood gives, but would still leave collateral damage to a minimum (unless that was part of the job). Or is that the same thing as the Mal Bologna?
Of course! It fits the theme perfectly! But also never feel like your not allowed to do certain things if you use this build. The video is mostly suggestion made to inspire others. Do whatever you wish!
Ah yes, a Redguard joining the Stormcloaks, the only none Nord race were it make 100% sense, I mean I am a Stormcloak supporter and have make more then 1 of every race joining them, even Argonians and Dunmer (I know "Blasphemy" right but lets face it, if you spend all your time complaining about being misstreated and sitting on your arse doing nothing about it, it's time to grow up, get out there and make yourself useful so you can prove you have a right to live in Skyrim)
An Altmer also makes sense. Many Altmer leave the Summerset Isles as refugees to escape the totalitarian regime, so it would make sense to play as an Altmer who wants to keep the Thalmor as far as possible. You don't even need to believe in Talos, you just need to hate the Thalmor.
Skyrim is the game of endless builds.
But they can be summarized with a few words.
Okay hot shot summarize my build in a few words @@tobiaskadachi
The only reason I watched this video is getting inspiration for a build to follow my Level 103 Nord BattleArchMage...
I love how you basically dropped a cool fanfiction on us. Wind guide you
A windwalker build eh? I'm definitely gonna be blown away from the sheer force coming from this build.

Aaay, a new Neloth build. Noice

I didn’t know about the Ring of Wind until I saw this video, glad I know about it now.
That armor is one of the few worth it creation club additions
Imma have to try this lad with some mods 👀
Guys i read Wind Waker and now im making a Link character thanks Master Neloth
Good shit. Gotta request a build themed around the reachmen, they have some amazing lore
bro has the best origin stories

great backstory 😁
The redguard armour and that sword reminds me of something out of Prince of Persia
Music in this video is great.
I'd love to see you do a nord build. One like that was not raised in Skyrim and has come to see his peoples land in ruins.

Justice for hamerfell.
Could you possibly do a video on how to get the ebony scimitar, I can't find any others out there.
Would whirlwind sprint be allowed in this build?
Of course! It fits the theme perfectly! But also never feel like your not allowed to do certain things if you use this build. The video is mostly suggestion made to inspire others. Do whatever you wish!
Could you do a good looking redguard, breton, argonian, khajiit, etc build please master neloth sir 🙏 😉
The Wind Walker 🤣🌪️
Didn’t even know you could do this lol
Why are all the highlights against Randoms? Console command build
