On our most recent trip to Japan with kids, we hit up the scenic Tennoji Zoo and Park, Kids Plaza Osaka, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, a 'different' kind of animal cafe to help us overcome our fears (mainly my arachnophobia), Dotonbori, Osaka Castle, Universal Studios, and many more fun places.

Japan is extremely family friendly. I love living in Osaka because there's always so much going on. It's great you found some amazing places your kids could enjoy. I also recommend Kobe Animal Kingdom. It's an amazing hands-on zoo.

My kids have been wanting to go to Japan so bad. There are so many fun things to do and I love the city at night! Looks like I need to start planning a trip.

Oooooh really like your editing! It makes it so exciting to watch. Those owls were SO CUTE! Were you guys born in Australia? I think I spot the accent, but not sure :) my goodness there are so many wonderful sights just in Osaka. The aquarium, castle, all those « worlds »... holy moly!!!

OMG I could NOT handle holding that Tarantula!! nope nope nope! I am getting the heebie jeebies even thinking about it!! That aquarium must be HUGE if it can hold a couple of Whale sharks! Looks like there is all kinds of things to see and do there!

Did you have to get an IC card if your toddler is 4yo? When do you have to pay for train/bus for the 4yo? Do they still get seats even if they don't pay? How about in Shinkansens? Thank you for your input.

We went to the Okinawa aquarium so we missed the Osaka one but now I got regret cause the whale sharks looked so amazing! Can't believe they have a petting area for sharks and sting rays omg going there next time.
hahaha yeah we listen to rap and hip hop but I also really like EDM style stuff. Tina hates when I put on the doof doof music haha. We really want to visit Okinawa Aquarium next time, I think it's like top 3 of the biggest in the world! Did you guys find much to do around Okinawa?
@@HangryByNature there is this Okinawa soba shop that is famous in our group of friends. We literally went just for that hahahahaha 😅
How many days do you think we would need to spend for Osaka and Kyoto combined when going with kids
That is a good question and difficult to answer... I believe Osaka has more things to with kids than Kyoto. We did both 7 days each, but I think Kyoto could be done in less time. It just depends how much you can cover (eg how old your kids are) in a day and what are the main things you would want to see. AND any day trips you might like to go to from Osaka, eg Nara for the deers. We found there is a tonne of things to do in all parts of japan. It's best to do your research to be prepared. Pick out the must see for everyone.
