That sucks. At least you worked out where to turn for a proper mood lift. Most people can't. I wish you well, for what it's worth. I'll tell you a dumb random story. We had this stray cat in our neighborhood up until yesterday. His name was "Hobo", and he was quite old. He never let anyone touch him, and he wouldn't come inside anyone's house, yet 4 older ladies and my recently deceased father fed him and built shelters for him, especially during Winter. My dad would've buried him, but he's gone now, so I had to handle it. This was not the way I wanted to first lay hands on him. I dug a very deep hole, and carefully placed him in there, and called all the ladies to let them know he wasn't with us anymore. They all came over and reached into the hole to pet him for the first time, and they were teary and mournful, as was I. Everyone pulled together for a moment, and gave this cat some kind of dignity, one last time. I've never felt any sense of belonging within or to any moment ever in my 40ish years here, and never felt like I made my dad proud. Long story, we were instant roommates ever after mom died; I was 6 years old at the time. Now I feel like I could've as of yesterday, for doing what he would've done. Part of something that mattered, if only for a moment. Continuity. Maybe that's all we'll ever get. Maybe that's all we should ever want.
@@mistercohaagenreally appreciate your story. thanks for sharing. How strange to only pet a cat for the first time when you are tucking it in to its final resting place, with your neighbors too. what an image!
No, man, I have a similar experience, but with an opiate addict. I just walk through the streets with headphones on and listen to the COLD - STORBE LIGHT NETWORK. This track gives me motivation, and I don't give a fuck about my drug addict. I think I can just do it. And I was able to do it.
Today I'll be driving to Detroit 👽 hope the fog rolls in as Model 500 is blasting in the system. A good view of the renaissance center in the back and a 909 groove on my mind. Life is good
Detroit. My brother. The remix is by a European but not the actual material. Techno, like most forms of modern western music is another Black people's invention.
Bafling how you can find your ways to that kinda music while being so ignorant. Remix by maurizio, resident of berlin city. Nobody talking about the roots of techno - which in fact are vague anyway. Tight mental boundaries should be gone after listening to this masterpiece full effect. Get real sunny@@gabrieldindayal3629
@@gabrieldindayal3629 what's your point? this is techno from Berlin, so your correction was unwarranted. Remixes aren't the same as the original tracks, and this artist made plenty of techno on his own.

As for calling a town a shithole, I get that people love their city. It's like cars, people drive shitty clapped out cars and love them to death, and their lives are better for it. sorry, i heard this for the first time just the other day, fell in love, was playing it on a portable cd player couldn't wait to get home and play it with some respect, love it.
You're wrong to, the artist is from Germany: www.discogs.com/artist/13117-Basic-Channel / www.discogs.com/artist/979-Maurizio However it was released on Metroplex, a label from Detroit: www.discogs.com/label/415-Metroplex so it's a little bit from Detroit.
I've only listened to music loud enough to shake the walls of those old warehouses but I imagine this is how the original record would sound being played in one of those endless concrete spaces, or better yet, in the Packard Plant if it would have been treated like the aqueducts of Rome or some other mammoth structural feat. The building is so long the roadway down the middle seems endless when you are looking down it. It was Detroit's best industrial architectural version. Would be great if that plan to turn the Packard into a techno tourist space would ever happen some day with all those other warehouses lying unused. The techno alliance would seem more complete.
2024 San Francisco listening going through a dark time. Thank you. For the healing

It's a crime that this wasn't included in the remix double-pack - but the deepchord version was great... thanks for posting : )
IKR? I can't understand it myself either. The only rational explanation I can think of is that it must have been a licensing issue.
Every body always talks about how shitty Detroit is, but the electronic styles that came from there are some of the best in the world
I think the reason people were able to write such precise and cold music sound like this is because it is a shithole.
