Very nice video. New woodturner and I blame youtube. After watching some lady in England making a box with pinecones and a few drops of green ink added to the resin… well that was it I had to give it a try. I have a midi lathe so my slowest speed is 150rpms and finishing is not possible cuz everything flies off everywhere. 😂 Not good. Thought about a rotisserie motor and then saw another video where the guy made a setup similar to yours. I really like the idea of the bearings for the extra weight support. Thanks 😊
There are at the end of the video each part is shown there 8 seconds at a time. You will need to pause the video and write it down or use a screen grap for each part. here is a link to one of my videos that shows the slow turner being used and the epoxy and brushes and process I use.
My Statement in this video about showing the actual use of the slow turner was at the end of most of m y videos was incorrect. It is at the end of this one ua-cam.com/video/_EQZBdFoI6M/v-deo.html

Thanks Paul. Great help. As always your videos are awesome.
Glad you like them!
Thank you so much. Very difficult to find videos on this subject with a motor and different pulleys and such.
Does that epoxy bowl in this video say $300 on the bottom? Is that what you sell your bowls for?
That was the price for the set of 6 nested bowls.
is there a reason you used a threaded rod. problem i have is the 1" at the big box hardware stores are not fitting
They should fit the bearing blocks if that is what you are referring. if they don't just sand or file the threads down a bit. It won't need much
Do you use any sand and sealer for epoxy?
Yes sand to 120 then 2 coats of Minwax water base sanding sealer. then 3 coats of more or less depending on results you are looking for.
Thanks Paul I made mine like your s
I don't see the links to parts you mentioned. What am I missing? Thanks
