Paint Study using

This one is a quick paint study from this morning, not meant to be a finished piece. I had seen the concept art piece for a movie the other day and thought that one of the skulls in the piece looked a lot like F.A.K.K 2 Heavy Metal. I'm a huge Simon Bisley fan, and I wanted to do something similar using @escapemotions Rebelle 7 pro.
Quick break down:
I start with the HB pencil on a separate layer. I rough out the basic shape, then I lower the opacity and add a new layer and start refining the sketch. Once I'm happy, more or less with the sketch, I merge all the pencil layers. I add a layer above and a layer below. The layer below the sketch is where I start on the underpainting. Using water colors, then oils. Then, I jump to the top layer with more oils. I switch randomly and fairly often between the oil brushes.
In total, it took about 2.5 hours from start to finish. Done all in one go. I'm pretty happy with it. If you guys find the paint studies interesting, let me know. I'll post more of them in the future. I usually do at least one month.
