Biochar is a carbon-rich solid that is derived from biomass (organic matter from plants) that is heated in a limited oxygen environment. Biochar is intended for agricultural use, and is typically applied as a soil amendment, which is defined as any material that is added to soil to improve its physical properties, such as water and nutrient retention.

It just an old big water/fuel barrel, one side cut of with an angle grinder. Size approx 5T (1300gal).

This is really cool, probably the largest scale biochar production I've seen. How are you going to spread it?
I am still working on that. Probably with compost and manure/compost spreader.

In the vegetable garden I am already using this system for years. But I would like to scale things up.
