Rodman deserved both, being inducted into the HoF and having his number retired by Detroit. And he may be humble, but HELL YEAH was he a part of Detroit's success...defending guys like Magic, Worthy, Parish, McHale, Bird...being named twice defensive player of the year, being the league's leading rebounder. He was one BIG piece in this Detroit puzzle I'd say..not only a simple one.

Rodman always said he felt like he finally could be himself when he joined CB,he never felt like he could be himself around the DP team,I think he finally felt like he was liked and appreciated more in Chicago & he was actually huge fans of both Jordan and Pippen

Dennis seems like such a sensitive soul. He is so in touch with his emotions & has been so hurt by people. His heart is just covered in Scars. He is so heartbroken. His childhood really damaged him, to such a point, he could never over come it. He pushes anyone or thing, that could get close to him. Away!.
He is so Afraid of being hurt, feeling loved & Valued to then be abandoned and heartbroken. I just want to hug him. And tell him he is worthy, good enough, cared for, valued & appreciated.
Not that he would truely believe it.

Chuck Daly helped mode Rodman and the entire city of Detroit knew about him being homeless and coming from a so so college and playing and we respected that because he was somewhat a symbol that anyone could come up. Chicago wouldn't never had brought Rodman in if he didn't play the way he did against Chicago

He was part of the negotiations in Korea. If anyone said he wasn't, total bullshit. The Kim Regime are massive basketball fanatics. In the 90s, the Clintons took an NBA signed basketball to North Korea as a symbol of peace. Yeah, that was almost 30 years ago. Now, that Dennis is over there frequently and he shows up and a prisoner (Oto Something...) comes home, and then multiple remains of PoWs come home. If anyone thinks that Rodman was not involved, totally dead wrong.
Rodman deserves a MASSIVE amount of credit

In his first year or two in Detroit, Dennis Rodman was a sparkplug on OFFENSE.
A typical sequence would be something like: "Spider" Salley would block a shot, then "Worm" Rodman would outrun everyone to the other end with the ball for a dunk. Very young Rodman was known for his energy and hustle -- a gazelle that no opponent could keep up with.

It’s like a stepfather getting praise cause he lets the kid drink in the house, so the kid thinks he’s cool. But his father raised him right, taught him life, made him work for whatever he wanted.
