Oooh you’re in my world with this one! This was so fun and hands down by favorite video so far! I’m a catering and private chef and spend more time in Whole Foods and Central Market than in my own house. 😂 This was so neat to watch/listen to you experience Whole Foods for the first time. Everything there really is so fresh and lovely but DIFFERENT. It made me remember the first few times I took my partner shopping with me and how it all seemed so alien to him. Every few minutes it was “what’s this? What’s THIIIIS?”. I forget how different (and sometimes more expensive!) it is than a standard store like Tom Thumb or Albertsons. I try to mix and match things between stores. I don’t see the point of buying something like baking soda at Whole Foods when I can get it cheaper somewhere else like Costco, so I buy my meat, dairy and produce (and fun specialty things) from shops like Whole Foods so I can be sure of the freshness and quality. Also, I was a veggie for 15 years and I found a great hot dog from LiteLife…. BUT the Impossible brand now makes a “beef” dog and a “bratwurst” that is honestly mind-blowing. I think I like them better than the real thing. Anyhow! So happy to have watched this (twice) last night. It’s probably weird to unwind to a video of someone whispering about food after I just cooked for 12 hours, but it did the trick for ME, so 🤷🏻♀️ Keep doing what you love, it’s working! Gotta love when a plan comes together 😂

15:58 Kombucha is fermented tea! Its kind of vinegar-y and very fizzy, but oddly addictive. Supposedly really good for the gut! Thanks for the vid, this was so interesting i dont have whole foods around.

Next time you go, look for the odds and ends basket/section in the cheese section! It’s a great way to try a variety of them and they’re all fairly cheap (usually between $2-$5). 😁

I’m in England where our grocery prices have really increased - some of those prices were ok, but some were absolutely shocking! Over £7 for a bottle of juice!!!

I don’t know if they still do this but when I lived in the states my mom and I would get the pizza thursday deal and omg the pizza is so good and was quite cheap too, but that was all we mainly ate from whole foods

I didn’t buy anything, because nothing was familiar to me. But I now know what they have in case I am ever looking for it. Neither one of us really cook, but I can follow directions on a can or box, or recipe if need be.

I worked at Whole Foods for a short time and the amount of produce they throw out was upsetting. The produce looks good, but Whole Foods doesn't pratice what they preach.

When I say I don't cook, I don't put meals together from scratch. I can put a roast in a crock pot, I can cook frozen prepared stuff. I just don't "cook" like my mother would do.
