- Times like this call for courage, determination, and sacrifice. They also call for kindness. Seemingly simple acts of kindness are exactly what can help us keep our community unified and help heal our divisions.
World Kindness Day feels like an opportune time to share a message from Dr. Amy Acton, Director of Kind Columbus at The Columbus Foundation, about the importance of kindness toward one another and ourselves.

Dr. Acton is an amazing person.
With Dr Amy Acton advising I felt encouraged, empowered, safer and more informed. I miss the comfort of the daily updates and reassurance that we are all capable, that we are the only ones capable, of beating this thing back. I found her vulnerability and honesty rare and refreshing in what we see on today's television news and reports. Dr Acton wasn't afraid to say she didn't know and always tried to find out and was fast to admit if she made a mistake or misspoke. She put herself out there and people shredded her for looking past the money to protect the people. She deserved better.
Thank you so much for the message Amy and yes, Kindness should be more contagious than the current Pandemic as we face even bigger challenges.
I have high hopes though and I work hard on spreading Kindness, lifting others and inspire to help people in need!
